    I have the Distnace 15 and love it! I was able to fit everything for a 6 day alps crossing with staying in huts. I was really looking forward for the 22l version to hopefully fit my outdoor sleeping setup in there :D

      Using the 15 for 6 days is epic! Well done!! I've managed to fit a sleeping bag liner, ultralight tent, trekking poles, some food, and some clothes in the 22

    Just wondering, are you able to strap a 60m rope on top of the pack?

    • @SJA-Reviews

      I don’t have much experience with climbing rope, but I’d be surprised if it could handle that much volume

    Great review! One quick question, do you know how large of a bladder the internal sleeve will hold? Thanks in advance.

      I had a 3L and it fit just right, I wouldn't go bigger than that though. Hope this helps!

      @@SJA-Reviews That does help. For long outings I prefer to bring 3L but some of the packs I've been eyeing only allow for 2L. Thanks for the quick answer :)

    Great review! Curious, with the stretching on the shoulder straps, how much weight were you carrying that caused the stretching?

      It’s difficulty to say what “cause” it, whether that was extended use or too heavy of a load. I probably had up to 25lbs in it at the max, but not for very long. But I used it every day for several months, so both probably contributed. Sorry I can’t provide a more exact answer

      @@SJA-Reviews Great, thank you! I love mine so far, but wanted to test the limits of weight for multiple overnight hikes.

    I have a quick question. Can you wash it in the washing machine?

    • @SJA-Reviews
      @SJA-Reviews  2 місяці тому +1

      You can! I turn it inside out to keep all of the traps secure. I’ve done it a handful of times with no noticeable issues

    Thanks for the video. Is it possible to add a hydration bladder to this backpack? Is there a slot to push the valve and tube through?

    Wow! Great review!! I have quick question. Can it fix the bladder hose using a shoulder strap?

    • @SJA-Reviews
      @SJA-Reviews  2 місяці тому

      I’ve used the straps in the shoulders to hold the bladder hose, but unfortunately, one is end up breaking because of that. So yes, but with caution

    Hi! Thanks for this review, well made and professionally presented. You mention you went bikepacking wearing this vest. I'd like to ask you, do you think it's possible to mount a small camera (Fuji xt30) on a shoulder strap via a Peak design clip?
    I usually wear the camera on my shoulders when I travel and I never bring a backpack while bikepacking but since next summer I'll be traveling in Iceland on my gravel bike I'm considering purchasing a vest/backpack to store some heavy stuff to lighten the bike while river crossing, to stash waterproofs for quick access and to take extra clothing for the occasional hike. Do you think the backpack you presented would work for me? Cheers from Finland

      I just tried out the Peak clip with my Sony s6400 and a medium sized lens. The Peak clip does fit the shoulder strap, but with how thin the straps are, expect the balance of the pack to be thrown off a bit and for the camera to bounce/swing if you're moving at any decent pace. Hope this helps!

    Great review! How stable is the pack when it’s only partially full? Does the side compression system keep it well cinched down?

    • @SJA-Reviews
      @SJA-Reviews  6 місяців тому +1

      The side compressions strings do work well, but depending on what you're carrying, the contents may settle at the bottom of the bag, making a bulge at your lower back, and the compression strings can't really help with that. Hope this helps!

    Nice review thanks! I'm training for my next mountain ultra and running to and from the office is realistically the only way to get in enough miles. Unfortunately that now means carrying my laptop... It's small 14" mac book sized would that fit in this bag and any thoughts on comfort levels running to the office with that sort of weight? I have a similar bag that works ok but going to need to replace soon. Thanks!

    • @SJA-Reviews
      @SJA-Reviews  6 місяців тому +1

      I’m pretty sure a 14” would fit, and comfort would come down to how heavy it is and if you’re carrying anything else. In terms of weight it should be ok, and if you have a jacket or shirt to pack with it to prevent bouncing, I think you’d be in business 👍🏼

  • @midwaybrumenbridge
    @midwaybrumenbridge 5 місяців тому +1

    Tested it. I am afraid its pretty useless for a multiday ultra such as MDS at least for me. The bouncing is abnormal.
