- A comparison between Avengers: Infinity War trailers (1, 2 & Big Game Spot) and the matching shots from the final film. Some of you guys have been asking for this for months, so here you go. Can I finally have my family back now? Please!!
As you all might have guessed, the main changes made for the purpose of avoiding spoilers were mostly about the number of stones on Thanos' gauntlet, and a few about Thor's eyepatch. The rest of the changes were just due to VFX being in different stages of completion, different shot selections, or deleted scenes (plus a few shots that were shamelessly created only for the trailers).
Besides the regular trailer comparison & the side-by-side keyframe comparison, there's also a newly added "wipe transition comparison" at the end, so the subtle differences can be spotted more easily, but as satisfying as it looks (for me at least), I can't guarantee that I'll do it for every future comparison, simply because how exhausting & time-consuming it was to edit.

Fun fact: If you look closely, you can see that Tony's Google Glasses magically disappeared at 00:59 as he takes them off in the movie. Anybody knows why? :-)

Me too. Only reason they probably didn't use it was because it was a continuous shot and they liked how everything flowed after he leaves the sanctum more in the version used in the movie. That look back tho always gave me the chills watching the trailer!

@@gflav It gave that moment a nice feeling of danger, like what a bystander on the street would actually feel when the ship landed. I liked it for that reason, the locked off shots and epic sweeps don't always convey that feeling.

there are tons of theories already, you'll be surprise, some say cap's shaved is fake in some shoots so timelapse doesn't match for some of these theories

CanadianBluePants honestly, besides Mark Rufallo’s scenes( the felt SO MUCH out of place and character, almost cringy ) , the comedy in this movie was top notch. Drax made me laugh in a way I had not in months

The shots in the trailer work better within the context of the trailer, and the shots in the movie work better in the context of the movie.
Yeah I was thinking that too. But I think the slower, more close-up dramatic shots like that might've felt a little awkward in the move and messed with the pacing

Iván MJ He wasn't afraid to come out and fight. If you've noticed, Hulk was always the one to come and save the day every last second when Bruce needs him to come out. Hulk is basically a trump card, and he's tired of coming in to save Banners' ass every single time. That's why he refused to come out all those times Banner tried to force him to during the movie. He was pretty much saying "I'm done being your last resort. Do this shit yourself."

You worked real hard to compile this, and it shows! Especially with the keyframe wipe-in segment. Readjusting the trailer keyframe and then letting it transition into the movie one-wow.
This was such a wonderful treat to watch! I get real obsessive about little stuff that I remember from the trailers and can't spot in the actual movies. I've even read the transcripts, at times, to check if I missed a dialogue or sth. (Tony's "wow" in this movie, being one of 'em.)

Supakrit WONGBENJARAT he never used the soul stone in the movie he just used the power, reality, space, and time stone when fighting. He then combined all the stones into one blast to try and beat thor and failed
seto kaiba no, you're not quite right. Rewatch the movie. Look at the moment when strange is cosplaying Naruto. Before Thanos killed all the illusions, two stones, power and soul, had lighted up. It seems that soul stone helped Thanos to tell the real doctor strange from illusions.
or...and this could explain why the Hulk was actually fighting and not in the iron man suit in the battle scene at 1:56...Whats left of the avengers are somehow successful with time travel(a theory of how they get everyone back) and they prevent Thanos from actually getting the reality stone. Don't forget Dr. strange told iron man that it was the only way and he willing to die over it from the beginning

Go to 5:34. You can see that the movie version has a much more real look to it on Iron man's suit. Sure it may look less appealing (less eye candy), but the movie versions look a lot more realistic.
Movie looks like it had more grain/blur than the trailer or maybe the shading was darker in the trailers.
Here because of no way home's 2nd trailer, i think they remove the 2 spidey's in the trailer where lizard receives a ghost punch

Some "no matching" scenes are actually in the Bluray version.
Every movie producer nowadays does the same thing. They put about 10-20 mins of extended scenes in the Bluray version in order to sell more dvds. The BatvSup movie was a shame in theaters because they cut too many important scenes and put it in the Bluray version which made the theater version sucks and confusing. Buy or pirate the Bluray version, you will see the difference.
Example for Infinity war? The scene that Thor rises his Stormbreaker is in the Bluray version and was put in the trailer for the important reason: selling dvds.
Some videos on youtube have titles like "ABC deleted scenes". They actually are not "deleted scenes", they are extended scenes in the Bluray version.

The key difference between THIS kind of "shooting for the trailer" is that other directors will literally shoot their movie's set pieces and think "that will look so great in the trailer" while the Russo's just use a second take that looks good as a clip or promotional art... but not as a narrative shot. Give me the MCU method of marketing a blockbuster any day over having the movie full of marketable clips.

Does anyone consider the possibility that this is all footage from the second part and not the first? They did film both movies intertwined, and they are time traveling. So it would be really clever to add snips from End Game in the trailer to throw people off. No one would expect it. Also, it would make sense why hulk was there, and the full team charging forward in an epic cinematic shot towards Thanoss, this would all be after the time traveling and or re writing of reality. Which would erase the first movie and they would do it again but with the advantage of knowing how to beat him in the "End game"

movie's camera moving is better and keeps the spectator watching it since the camera follows the actor instead of just cutting.

The tralier ver. might be scenes from Avengers End Game. Thats why u see the whole team including hulk charging at Thanos. At the same time, Captain able to stop Thanos hand which appears to have only 2 infinity stones and not all. This could be time travelling
