This is what I loved about 2 that 3 did not deliver. The feeling of taking the innocent Pikmin formula and taking it into the hardest deepest darkest depths. I remember getting to these rooms after just barely making it out of some crazy dangerous room. It was almost Resident Evil-like.
i just realized that there's a huge bulborb in the background that looks like its smiling. not gonna lie it kinda freaked me out for a second when i noticed it
This... This is what protection and comfort sounds like. After a long-fought battle filled with strife, shock, grief, and heartbreak, this is much like returning to a lover, who just keeps you wrapped in their warm and tender embrace, someone who lets you cry on them as long as you want to, knowing you have someone who you can trust with your life to be there for you. I hope I get to experience that one day, or be the one to bring that experience to someone.
For some reason, this song makes me feel... Safe. Not just physically calm, but protected. I just want to curl up, and doze off to sleep, knowing I'll wake up perfectly fine the next day. The bad thoughts can't hurt me, nobody can. Just lay down, let the warmth surrounding you be your embrace, as you slowly drift into a calmer, safer spot. The only vision is that of a gentle beast, keeping close to me as I fall asleep in their arms. I can easily fall asleep to this song, and it actually helps. I don't know why it's only this song. But it genuinely gives me a peace I can't quite fully describe. All I know is... I'm safe.
While I can’t say that I love you personally, I can say that it is variably low that no one will ever love in the entire world. Insisting that no one loves you is completely unhealthy, and while it might be true at the moment, keep looking and someone’s bound to appear.
The people at nintendo made the perfect music for rest floors, you feel safe, you feel like the battle has comepletely stopped, even if for just a second, and you can just sit and relax. But could it be seen as something else? With the long drones and echo like sounds, and the focus on low notes, this could end up feeling like a song for hopelessness, or sorrow, or maybe a rainy day. Out of all the pikmin pikmin songs out there, this, I feel is the most interesting one, it conveys the feeling perfectly and gives you those feelings, but you can also use it in different ways and it would do the job fairly good.
I only remember hearing it in one cave but it was sandwiched in between sublevels filled with unimaginable horror. Pikmin 4 really has the Pikmin 2 feeling, I love it.
it confuses me that sometimes they would put enemies on these floors mamutas dont technically count bc they cant kill but ive seen hydro dweevils in the frontier cavern's rest sublevel and it confused me, its not completely safe if theres spiders bruh

i wonder why a song designed to elicit feelings of safety would cause a person to feel safe

This song relaxes me when I remember that no one will ever love me.

This song is very cozy, not only is it a nice song, it's also a song that lets you ecsape from the horrors that is most of the caves in Pikmin 2
i’m so glad i can hear this on switch now
i've never played a single pikmin game but i study to this track all the time. it's so relaxing and helps me concentrate like nothing else.
