    When I was a kid, we were on the escalator at JC Penny's and I fooled around and got my entire shoe caught. My white canvas shoe ripped and what was left was marked up with dirt and oil. Let me also mention, it was the beginning of a long day of mall shopping planned by my now pissed mother. She begrudgingly bought me a new pair of shoes and bestowed upon me an escalator etiquette lecture fit for a special needs class of toddlers.

    Shredded cheese molds soon after opening. That's why I shred my own cheese. If a block of cheese molds, you can just cut off the moldy part. You can't do that with shredded cheese. Also, the shredded cheese is coated with something to keep it from sticking. I don't like it. Freshly shredded cheese is nothing but cheese and tastes a lot better.

    Cheese doesn't go bad 3-5 days after opening. That's just a way for the companies to protect themselves. Cheese can last for weeks after opening and only when there's visible mold or moldy smell is it bad.
    Cheese itself was a way to preserve raw milk before refrigeration

    • @ps200306
      @ps200306 6 місяців тому +3

      I don't disagree. However, traditional cheese had a crust or was coated with wax. It wasn't quite the petri dish that ready grated or 2mm slices are.

    • @Gabonro
      @Gabonro 6 місяців тому +2

      Old cheeses were also aged. The cheeses you get in slices are either not aged or "aged" while in shipping or waiting to be shipped. The result is something that is not hardy enough to survive any contamination and must be kept at modern refridgeration temperatures rather than just in a cooler.
      If a block of cheese was contaminated, you could scrape the edge, and the rest of the block was good, but when it's a slice, there isn't a way to salvage the rest.
      Edit: Pre-shredded cheese often has an anticaking coating and filler in it, making it hold moisture and mold faster than whole blocks of cheese will.

    Went into a store earlier to buy some fresh snacks and i told my husband not worth the money in the politest way and footed it, told my five year old that it wasn't that fresh, it was about to start raining cat's and dogs so bacon and scrambled eggs (i always fry my eggs in the bacon fat for obvious reasons and add some paprika, chilli powder, salt and ground pepper, and of course a tbsp of cream cheese, again for obvious reasons) it was yummy! 😋
    I know how hard my husband works to provide for us, why should i keep asking him for money? He always reminds me that he is willing to buy whatever i want, well why should I take advantage of his kindness? I love cooking, literally the best part of my day, so im not a slave i enjoy being a housewife, i do not complain like some, before you come at me just know that i am a mother of 4 boys, a home is not meant to be perfect, so stop stressing about perfection no such thing on earth. Perfection is only found in Jesus. it's good to have a cheap landline phone in your home. no frills, no extras, just a line to be able to dial out.
    1. you can give out your landline number to people you don't want to call you and just turn the ringer off so you don't have to answer or be annoyed by the ringing.
    2. when the power goes out, the phone will still work, even if your cell or cell towers are dead.
    3. it also isn't 'voice over ip', so again, you don't have to worry about power. (unless you get that feature, which I advise against it)
    4. even if you cell breaks, you're landline will still work.
    5. cell towers/systems can easily be overwhelmed in an emergency, but the landline system is rarely used today, so you can easily make a call and get through, especially to other landlines (like emergency services)
    6. you can use it to dial your phone to have it ring whenever you misplace it.

    12:38 ~ oh, ha, ha. Just an FYI ~ it's technically illegal for a last-mile Amazon driver to stick your parcels into the mailbox. When I was employed there, we were told this a few times and it's part of the training on optimal locations to hide parcels. This was in 2019 before those Hub lockers became a thing so we had limited options.
    One person did before me at one stop. It was wedged in one of a few mailboxes across the street from the homes (stupid choice) when I was scanning for address numbers. We were told to take a picture and send it back to the phone ops back at the warehouse but I was already told to "HURRY UP" as we're on a time limit and traffic was thicker than frozen peanut butter.
    I took the initiative to run across the street and drop the package off like we're supposed to. The previous driver probably thought "f it" and did the mailbox thing. Feel free to report it to Amazon CS if that happens to you. They're not supposed to do that.

I sure don’t loose any sleep over it. When we were in school as kids they used to try to run my life and tell me who to date and such. No need, zero, for it to be on any sort of timeline or social media of any sort but it still happened. Wow.

    Shredded cheese goes bad faster then block cheese because the pieces are more exposed to the air once it's opened. At least block cheese you can cut off the mold on the sides but shredded cheese is so thin. But then again between my son and I, that wouldn't' last a day. Also shredded is twice the price of getting a block and grating your own.
