- In this video, I am sharing everything that I bought during my trip to Salem in March of 2024. The shops in town are truly one-of-a-kind! I also share my bullet journal travel spread for my trip to Salem. My journal is a fun, creative space for me to intentionally pause and revel in any hobby that I do in my spare time, whether that be books, movies, crafts, or travel!

I love the scrapbooking ! I always nab little tokens of memories whenever I can. It's so fun to go back and see it years later - it's almost like it transports me back to that place and time. If I could bottle up nostalgia to take a "sip" whenever I wanted I would!
Yes!!! I love all the (joyful) emotional triggers that come from travel scrapbooking. I think you articulated exactly why I started my hobby journal - to really relish and expand on the experience of whatever I am doing! To just really sit in it and be present and then to be able to re-experience on command!!
Ooooo!😮I love your bullet journal Lauren! Aura photography seems super interesting, I wouldn't mind doing one at some point. As I get older, I've become increasingly aware of how we're socialized as women to be small, to not take up too much space so others feel comfortable, which often results in being dismissed, belittled and oppressed. I want to live in a world where women and other marginalized groups fulfill their full potential and are encouraged to do so. Thanks for showing up Lauren, and inspiring others to do the same!

Salem is one of my absolute most favorite places to go. It’s a bit of a nightmare in September and October but it’s worth it in the end. So glad you got to experience it!!
I personally love visiting Blackcraft and The Flying Saucer! There’s a great comic shop across from the latter.
I had such an awesome time in Salem this past March! I have a video where I talk all about what I did when I went there, but in essence, I really loved all of the history opportunities and the East Coast architecture that I don’t get to see as somebody who lives in California. Not to mention all the fun shops!

Travel journal spreads are my new favorite things to do post-trip! I love getting to relive the memories and it's honestly the best souvenir.

I've been to Salem twice but somehow totally missed seeing the Hocus Pocus spots! I did do the Witch Museum though! I support your efforts to confront your spider fear! I'm always fascinated by the spiders around our house/yard and can hold them so long as they're not too big haha. Love that Halloween candle name, I need it! And that Salem print is perfect! 🕸🖤💀

This was so informative and I was taking notes for my upcoming trip✍ Did your mom enjoy her tarot reading? Definitely excited to get the aura photo done since that is a huge interest of mine 📸 Your journal is so great and I love your approach on what to include. It's going to be such a great keepsake to look back on at the end of the year 🎃 If you're comfortable with it, I would love to hear more about your year off from teaching as a restorative practice because it is something that has been on my mind a lot. The framing alone is so much better than a traditional sabbatical and its expectations of embedded labor. As always, great vlog!
Oh my gosh you’re going to Salem?! So awesome! I really think you would love it. There’s even more history stuff that I didn’t get to, like historic house tours. And I wish I spent more time in the Peabody museum than just a few hours. You could spend a whole day there! Plus they have tons of restored houses outside the building to view.
My mom REALLY loved her tarot card reading! We were trying to find places while we were there that offers this service and we didn’t find anyone who really resonated with us until we got to Ascend! So definitely browse around and see what works for you!
This year “off” has been incredibly transformative for me. Let’s definitely chat about it! I’m currently in application mode and it’s like I’m dating 😂 I got honest about what I wanted from my next job and I promised myself I will NOT settle for anything less than what I deserve 🤣

What a fun collection of different things to remember your adventure. Coven looks pretty spectacular. And just an FYI hyssop is a pretty plant to grow in a container. You just have to keep it trimmed back or it will take over.
That’s so funny you mention container gardening because I was entertaining the idea the other day because somehow spring is convincing me that I have a green thumb? 🤪 I don’t but I may want to build up that gardening skill soon so thank you so much for the suggestion of a useful but beautiful plant!!
