7:09 you can buffer CA out of ball there and hit, doesn't have to be up against wall. It will do more damage and you're already taking off 2 bars just for EX moves there.

When you say Scissors are safe, what do you mean because I can punish it everytime unless its absolute max distance for Chun-Li for any version except EX
+Roberto Morales Chun Li actually has a 3 frame crouching jab, which allows her to punish scissor kicks, aside from being out-ranged. Lots of characters only have 4 frame jabs, which leaves them unable to punish HK or EX scissor kicks, and in 80% of cases, a Bison player should only ever be using those versions.

And kick my bad habit of pressuring with crouching strong into short Scissor Kick, as i'm just getting punished left and right on that one :P Also, I wasn't sure if you made it clear in the video, but during V-Trigger, it's not just EX specials that you've canceled from other specials that you don't have to charge for, but ANY special move you cancel from anything. Meaning you can basically rush people down with Bison as soon as you've activate V-Trigger. Such a fun character :)

The target combo is actually a combo. The easiest way to land it is from a counter hit, but you can actually land it without one. Although it's not necessarily practical. You have to hit at max range with the last active frame of the st.MP and it will in fact combo.
+UltraChenTV I think you should put a note in the video to say that ex.Head Press has 4 frames of strike invulnerability. This isn't really impressive considering it starts up in double digit frames but it's very useful for anti-meaty situations that aren't meaty throw. Feel it's important enough to discuss.

Chip their health down, take their health out with throws. Problem is that Bison in SF2 and SFIV had a great walk speed to help do this. His walk speed in SFV is ass but his dashes are great, so you gotta use that. Bison is not a mix up character. He's about pressure. Try to bait them into an attack using his walk and dashes. Make them respect your pokes and damage with random well spaced knee press and the like. If they keep blocking, just keep pressure on them. And yeah, due to how he's designed, Bison will always suffer when it comes to dealing with people who can play a damn good defense as well as suffer when he's under pressure since he lack options that don't take meter. Unlike in SFIV, Bison can actually do damage this time around.

He doesnt need an overhead. he has the best throw range in the game. he is in throw range after a blocked mk scissor and after a blocked standing or crouching jab. his crysh counters lead to 300 damage with no bar or v trigger and they are not only safe on block, they are frame traps. if you do have vtrigger, thats 400 damage with 1 bar. one of the best v reversals in the game. best forward dash. jRH is one of the best buttons in the game. VTrigger is one of the best in the game. hell the only thing that makes it fair is that his VSkill is only situationally usefull and takes so long to fill him Trigger. so what is gonna fall off for him? how will any of that change?

My friend uses Bison and complains when he loses. After playing against him, I said I simply can't sympathize with his complaints, as Bison gets away with a lot in this game. You need a character with speed and reach to shut him down.
I liked this video! but being the noob/scrub I am, how do you do his unique moves like the head stomp or the scissors? I looked it up on the game and I can't translate the 2 joysticks + punch/kick. any help would be great!
Bison is a "charge character", so to do his Headstomp, you actually have to hold Down on the pad / joystick for about 2 seconds to "charge" the special move. Then hit Up + Kick at the same time to do the Headstomp. For Scissor Kick, you hold BACK on the pad / joystick for 2 seconds, and the hit FORWARD + Kick at the same time to do that. The trick is that holding Down/Back on the pad / joystick counts as charging for BOTH special moves, so after holding it for 2 seconds, you can choose to use the Headstomp OR the Scissor Kick by going to Up + Kick or Forward + Kick respectively. Really, the trick is just learning the "charge" timing and getting a feel for it. You can charge in the middle of anything: a jump, another move, getting up, etc. As long as you hold that direction for about 2 seconds, you can do the Headstomp or Scissor Kick anytime you're free to move. Hope that helps!

I really need to practice doing a lot of the special cancels in V Trigger. For some reason I have trouble just tapping out the directions again after hitting, say, a scissor kick.
Bison is a noob bully. Picked him up since none of my mains from SF4 (Akuma, Sakura, Guile) made the cut into SF5 and he can be very fun, but frustrating to play. The only two things I'm not liking about him so far are his weak anti-air and lack of wake-up moves. You have no real way to get people off of you once you get knocked down outside of the CA or V-Reversal, which sucks because the V-Trigger is so good it's hard to commit to burning it to escape pressure.

great now do a video on how to beat a bison online, I swear he so hard for me to beat. so far the only way I know how to is to play the waiting game with the other player because that's what 99% of these mofos do, they always crouch in the corner and wait for nearly half of the game.

SpitefulToast unless there's a secret character in the game with a 2 frame move, no one can punish Hk scissors from any range, as its -2 on block.

The Time Dictator for a basic introduction video I think maybe the amount of invincibility in the startup frames of a move is beyond beginner.

There are a lot of downsides to Bison... lack of overhead for one.
