I like how they tell you what is going to happen and warn you before you're touched. Last time I went to get a facial the person kept laughing at me because she'd take her hands away to grab another product, then suddenly touch me again and I'd jump in surprise

I don't usually watch talking asmr videos because my brain has the opposite reaction to them and not relaxing at all, but oddly enough it usually does not bother me in Twix's videos. Like the talking is an unintentional asmr here and not purposely on the mic, but it's really not intrusive at all, and I cannot figure out if it's the sound settings or maybe the language. Anyone else feels like this? 😅
My theory is that because I don’t speak Japanese (I’m guessing you don’t either) there’s less processing your brain has to do because you don’t know what’s being said
I can only handle languages that are foreign to me. Others, no matter how boring, I will absolutely listen instead of relaxing. But also ones where the mic isn't that close because mouth noises make me want to explode with disgust. 🤣😭
@@codemeister05 This. Idk if it's related to misophonia or a different issue, but the whole whispering asmr drives me up the wall. Like I would rather chew on tinfoil. I cannot stand it even if someone whispers in my ear, it's such an uncomfortable sensation. But these videos are completely fine even if they are a semi-whisper. There were couple packing videos I could not watch, but that was just some odd ones out

I wished l could be treated like that. I have done manual labor my whole life with deteriorating disc and joint disease. Deep tissue massages help with the pain and swelling. You are so lucky.

Gori-gori is Japanese onomatopoeia for a kinda crunchy sound. It also can be used to describe the texture of something as well, in this case, the muscle tension.
I’m not sure what the tea is but I did see that this spa has a website, you may be able to contact them and ask? This whole video is sheer heaven and the tea part was a great opening, I’d love to have a treatment/day like this!

Kwix and Camarasis - while your commentary (captions) are informative, I wish you would provide a way to turn them OFF. This is (1) because the language is beautiful, but mostly (2) for ASMR. it's distracting. Just a suggestion.
Oh I feel the exact opposite. I love that she provides us with a translation of what is being said. I can enjoy both the beauty of the language and the info at the same time.

There used to be a large Japanese diaspora in the US, but then came WW2 and Pearl Harbour and internment camps and stuff, y'know.
That’s what I was thinking! All of the Red Scares with communism really disrupted the influence of Japanese culture on Americans.
Germany could use help too, we need the clean streets and head spas and most importantly trains that arrive in time 😢

Agree! Unintentional asmr is my favourite. My brain resists when I know someone is trying to give me tingles!

Same here. Normally ASMR videos really make me cringe. Twix’s videos make me calm and relaxed more than anything else. I don’t know why.
