      It sounds like we have a lot in common, Those older Mathews's bows are really sweet, I have been enjoying shooting it. It helped me harvest two this fall also. So that is a plus. Thanks for taking the Time to watch and comment and I Hope you have a blessed weekend.

      @HeartlandMakesAndOutdoors I miss being able to yoke tune the center shot, on most today have to be shimmed or have 18 screws that move limbs or alter cam/axle placement.

      @@Muskrat78 ahahah, when I was telling my buddy about this video I was working on, he and I talked about that same thing. So much has changed in the world we now live in with bows. The tuning is all different. We also were not attempting 70 yard shots etc. That being a mild shot for the TAC events that are being held now days as well. I was laughing the other day when putting a new sight on my new bow, and looking back at this old site in this bow, it was so simple, you bolt it on, move the pins till your hitting the spot and go on about your business harvesting animals. Third axis back then hahha, we would have been like what are you talking about. hahaha. Fun stuff. I noticed while I was shooting this bow this morning for my little morning routine, the dang level finally broke out of it along the way somewhere hahhaha. Thanks again my friend and if you are on instagram, tag us with your build when your done. I dont get on there as much as I should but it should notify me if you tag us there. Thanks again friend and have a blessed weekend.

    I have a switchback xt, fine shooting bow. Holds very steady even though it is a short axle to axle bow.

      They came out with the XT like a week or so after I bought this one, I dont recall what all changes they did to the XT, but they both are still great bows. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment and I hope you have a blessed weekend.

    Too in depth for me right now. But very useful info that I can refer back to after I get settled in. I have a question though. I’ve been looking at bows here and there at cabelas and scheels and they don’t have peep sights, are those something that come with a different string or what?
    God bless

    • @HeartlandMakesAndOutdoors
      @HeartlandMakesAndOutdoors  17 днів тому

      No it is something you will buu and add to your string , it is the rear sight for your sight up front , If you plan to use a sight up front. There is also different sizes of pee sights as well, from a really small hole to a larger hole, the somewhat kinda close to norm is probably the 3/16 she is what a lot of hunters use for their hunting set ups. I can do an ore in depth video for you if you would like.
      have a blessed weekend my friend.

      I wish I had a good solid answer for you other than no, This bow and I have been through to much, maybe one day the girls will not know what to do with it, until then, I still shoot it pretty regularly. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and I hope you have a blessed week.

    Wow 😮 scary advice about backing the limbs out like that ! Take it to a professional

    • @HeartlandMakesAndOutdoors
      @HeartlandMakesAndOutdoors  17 днів тому

      That is how you would take the string off the older bows, they were designed to do that, but yeah, I said up front, dont do this. The advice as dont do this,. Thanks for taking the time to watch and share your thoughts abut it with us and I Hope you have a blessed week
