Loved the groove SERA Jo!!! Do you have a page of left hand comps I could learn. If you do it in C Maj and C minor then I can practice them in all the keys. Thanks!!!
Hi, Manny Cepeda! Thank you for purchasing my chart. I just upgraded the PDF chart. Once you purchased, you always can go to the link and download the upgraded new file. Here is the link •••••• camposmusic.gumroad.com/l/fvjrt Before, it was 2 pages, but I added 4 more pages. 1. Bass Pattern on Left Hand/ Montuno Pattern on Right Hand. 2. Both Hands Montuno Pattern 3. Additional Montuno Patterns for Both Hands (BONUS!:-)) Enjoy your practice! Thank you. p.s. I'm preparing for the key of C major and C minor. :-)
Hi Sera! Thanks, I just got your update on the montunos. Remember what I'm looking for is the way you are chording/comping with your left hand! How do you keep the chords so compact? I want to be able to do that in any key? What is the process? How do you interpret the chords, C6, to Amin7, to Dmin7, G7, and back to C6?
Hi Manny Cepeda! I'll answer the questions one by one. "How do you keep the chords so compact?" - I assume that you meant 4 notes voicings. I will make that video soon. But before, you can find A and B voicings. Of course, you should practice in all 12 keys. "How do you interpret the chords C6 to Amin7/ Dmin7, G7 and back to C6?" - C6 and Amin7 are the same notes. - Dmin7 - G7 to C6 is called II-V-I. Also, you can find videos on UA-cam. Type II-V-I Chord progression. 🙂 Thanks, Sera
Amazing playing! There is a song by David Weckl called Amanecer, at the 7 min mark, the pianist plays what I think is a Montuno pattern, but I'm not sure, would love to hear from someone that is trained!
@@SERAJOsheetmusic =) Did you by any chance get to listen to it. I'm pretty sure it's just a latin montuno type salsa vamp, but seems really syncopated over the drum solo. Any knowledge bombs welcome.
maravilloso
I remember playing this with you at MI!! miss playing with you!
I remember you! hahaha :-)
Great montuno playing!
Absolutely wonderful
Just amazing!
Very nice pattern! Small correction: from bar 10 to 11, there's a slur, but you're playing the A octave in bar 11 again ;-)
Thanks for the advise! 🙂
Amazing
Thank you
