This tutorial was so helpful to me. I'm recovering some shoes to make them look like 18th century shoes. And I couldn't quite figure out the dimensions on how much fabric to cut out. Thank you so much for such a detailed tutorial.
This is the wrong modpodge. I used this and finished product was always tacky/ sticky no matter how long it was left to dry. You should be using modpodge fabric with the blue label.
My Dear your tutorial was wonderful thank you for laying out the items to be used to cover the shoes everything was explained very well I wish you would say what type of shoes can be covered but overall great job be blessed thank you
Lol i love how she went straight into it 'alright so you gonna need this and that' lets get to business, bang u got yourself awesome designer shoes haha! Awesome tutorial i love this idea :)
Sister This is a beautiful job well done🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆. I never would've thought to use the mod podge to do this on shoes. Your Diy is very professional. Thank you beloved sister for sharing this with us. I also see how you respond to most of your comments, do you know how much that truly speak of your spirit. Shalom
This video is old & I’m late but I am very shocked 😳 😮 & Amazed & you did a Beautiful Job Peace & Blessings😇 my Sister & Thank you so much for teaching us how to be creative 😍😍❤️
I am not talking about stepping in puddles, just like a wet sidewalk that leaves your soles wet. I read someone reply water proof spray but that probably won't work if the adhesive is not waterproof. That's all I was wondering 😊
If you want the shoes to last longer, you can add another coat of modge podge after the first layer of glue is dried. You can use matte, satin, or gloss. They look so good, and if you used comfortable shoes, it is worth the extra time and effort. 💕
Thank you so much for the video. I will try this very soon. There is a product called "Scotchgard". It's a waterproof spray. Find it at Target, Wal-Mart, even some Grocery Stores.
Interesting that you glues the excess inside the top opening of shoe. I would of thought that it would make the shoe slightly tighter on your foot - but I guess it depends on how thick the fabric is! Can this process be used with suede shoes also ?
Thanks for this video. I asked my shoe repair person about doing this and she was clueless. How can I contact you to cover my shoes, since I can't draw a straight line?!!
It probably will, since it is a strong chemical glue and it sorta "melts" into fabric. But it is also toxic to skin so you can't use it for inside of the shoe, it will cause irritation to your feet
Fabulessme If you take white candles rub the entire surface of the shoes then take a hair dryer and melt the candles wax you rubbed on the shoes it will make the shoes waterproof.
Where did you get your fabric and other products from? I'm looking to get a cheap pair of heels so I can do this with Harry Potter or Disney fabric, but not sure where to start
They are beautiful ! Now, i have a problem. I want to take a design off of a pair of showes that are broken and pit design on another shoe that is good. Any idea how i could do that ????

Great video! How does the modge podge hold up? Will these shoes come apart if they get wet? You go girl!
You can weatherize the shoe by spraying an acryilic clear covering on them. spray about 3layers letting it dry beteen each layer.
If you want the shoes to last longer, you can add another coat of modge podge after the first layer of glue is dried. You can use matte, satin, or gloss. They look so good, and if you used comfortable shoes, it is worth the extra time and effort. 💕
Thanks so much for sharing your advice!
Wow I LOve How they turned out!
You go girl!!! Super Cute!
Thank you so much :)
Love the video. Thanks for sharing.I'm inthe UK. How much fabric would \i need approximately, to cover a pair of heeled shoes? Thank you
Thanks so much. That all depends on the type of shoe you're covering and the shoe size. But a 1/4 yard of fabric should be more than enough.
Wow 😮 You just changed the Game for Ballin On A Budget 🙇🏾♀️

Niceness! Does modge podge sell here in Barbados?
Thanks. Yes it does. I got mine from Laurie Dash.
What kind of fabric I have to use? Because I use one called "razo" and it looks like if always was wet.
The fabric in english is satin
Thanks for sharing. I have learned even more today, my Sista.
i'm getting all my shoes revamped!
Gorgeous fabric and love the shoes....thanks for sharing your ideal.
Thank you. And thanks for watching!
Don't wear your revamp shoe in the rain the glue you using wouldn't hold the fabric 😕😯😐😣
Fabulessme will E 6000 glue work in the rain?
It probably will, since it is a strong chemical glue and it sorta "melts" into fabric. But it is also toxic to skin so you can't use it for inside of the shoe, it will cause irritation to your feet
Fabulessme
If you take white candles rub the entire surface of the shoes then take a hair dryer and melt the candles wax you rubbed on the shoes it will make the shoes waterproof.
Fabulessme please what's the name of the white gum you used?
Fabulessme Mod Podge is different and Brilliant glue and sealant there's many types too
Does this work with stretch fabric?
I believe that it should but I'd suggest fabrics with little to no stretch.
Can you please send me the link/website where you bout the African pattern.
😊 Thank you!
Sorry I bought it in a fabric store here in Barbados years ago.

Awesome thanks for posting this video, extremely helpful.
are there any problems if you wash it?
I'd try to avoid having to wash it as that would make the colour fade.
