These houses are not just beautiful but with so much character. Im glad to see a house that suits the southeast asian climate and not just an imitation of the western houses. You guys have given a house life on its own. Keep it up ❤️ from Manila

Until you see the historic and completely different building style of its surroundings. This build seems to also completely clash with its environment. Sometimes it's works, but from what we see here in the minimal shots provided it looks like a complete disaster.
I will stay at home everyday if i had a house like this...

Okay, so I'm not crazy about the color black for the walls in a home. But this... _this_ actually _works!_ I absolutely *LOVE* the trees growing in the middle of the home and all the plants. That, and the open concept make for an absolutely MAGNIFICENT home. It looks so serene and full of Zen. This is so very beautiful. 🙏
Finally, a house tour with actual views of the house and not just the living room and a car.
You should check out Enes Yilmazer , him and Mike really do the most with house tours
this is very close to how I picture my tropical dream house; each corner is practical, built with durable and eco materials,a moderate deco but very well-designed, there is a ventilation with courtyard in the middle, easy access to natural lights, the mini pond to cool down the house , sideway louvered windows and additional layer of shields for privacy while still being connected to outdoors. love it!

Wonderful architecture . Beautiful black enhance the character of this house. Also, louver is a great idea for ventilation and privacy. The central courtyard is the highlight of this house. To reduce the heat using water body is really enthusiastic plan. staircase with mid landing is again added value of the house. Love to see in person this house

We - in California- and everywhere, could learn so much from the recycling of materials, intentional use of space, cooling that does not require mechanical energy, interior ventilation, cooling water features....the list goes on and on....Thank you for presenting these ideas.
the standard of this video is truly amazing showing that the Malaysian has real talented in designing, building the wonderful house by using a very normal house from beginning. keep it up.. im proud becoz im msian.

House of elegant workmanship. Sleek, clean & streamline interiors masked by the client’s bold and honest black facade. So much freedom of expression with a suspended spatial long stairs that doesn’t seem to end. Indeed the Architect must have kept his gang of Malaysian craftsman under his armpit.

I like the design of this house with all the plants around especially the trees at the center will give fresh air to the bedrooms. And the brightness of the sun that enters will make the house more beautiful .

This house is one of a kind , love black that’s why. Stands out. In a good way
I like the design of this house, well lighted and ventilated ,the most special is it feel like your near in Nature.
I love the common theme among many of the houses that is the seamless transition from interior to exterior or also bringing significant natural beauty indoors. Atriums, walls that open to balconies, and terraces above atriums leading up to skylights all make the homes feel as if they are in harmony with nature instead of fighting to keep it out.
I've seen this technique incorporated in malls in which the hallways connecting the stores have open walls allowing airflow and views of valley hillsides and high rise condo units with a built in tree planter level with the floor greeting you as you enter the space. These types of buildings are in climates with small annual temperature fluctuations located in parts of South America and the south east Asia.
In America, it seems more common than not to design with the intention of keeping nature out and aircon in. Due to its latitude in the northern hemisphere, most of the country experiences temperature fluctions throughout the year, with the notable exception of temperate areas of California.
The houses featured on this channel are a nice introduction not only to fine interior design choices but also to a larger theme of incorporating nature within the build. The exposure the occupants have to nature must be calming and soothing. The designs are truly inspiring.
Tangent: This request is probably out of the scope this channel. It would be interesting to see some of the new designs in Norway and Sweden. Their modern building revolution centered around utilizing their carefully managed sustainable forests is interesting. The country has focused on using timber as a primary building material. The buildings are quite unique, and their nationally managed techniques for ensuring forestry is nondestructive and sustainable is perhaps the best in the world. Woah, If I'm not mistaken, this is the house that I saw in a book I bought last year. Thank you for doing this tour since I want to know more about the design.
i have the same theme on my living and dining room. I designed it to be a sleepy place with the principle of In Praise of Shadows, my floor is black with tatami inspired wooven matts, and all furnitures and lights are IKEA. a Small micro house with the same space area of a jungle inspired garden, tuck away and hidden from residential area. Two bedrooms are on the second floor with different color theme, one is dark Blue navy- my bedroom and the other room is Matcha room- for the guests with kids. Everyone was surprised that black is not that bad. Thanks for showing these lovely houses.
