Cello String Crossing Tips & Bow Hand Exercises

- Happy #CelloTipTuesday, my dolls! For this week's video, we are tackling slurred string crossings and how to make them smoother, and more efficient with just using our bow hand's wrist & fingers! This will also help us to play with more ease & avoid any scrapes / squeaking sounds when we change strings. In the 2nd half of this video are play-along exercises where you can practice and train this new skill with Celli & I! This is a new format I'm thinking of using in future cello tip videos, so please let me know what you think of it in the comments below! 🙏🏻👇🏻

Thank you! Getting the 6 beat pulse definitely will take some time!
That's absolutely alright Ken, it's the most challenging out of the rhythm variations. With consistent practicing you'll get it! 👌🏻🎻
Thank you for this video! Would you be up to doing a video for non-adjacent string crossings? I'm struggling to get those clean when they need to be quick
thank you, very interesting video. I am an amateur who started as an adult- this is indeed a challenge for me!
Great, that makes me so happy! Did you try to play-along with the exercises at the end? Would love to know your thoughts on it, if you did!
Exactly what i need for my practice, thank you!
Fantastic and thank you for including Celli & I in your practicing time! Did you try to play-along with the exercises at the end? Would love to know what you thought!
Thanks for fixing my problem.

wow! Entertaining and so informative!. Thanks so much! May help my shoulder pain-think Im overdoing it...
Thank you!!😃
You're most welcome Paul!
No problems with slow speed I practiced for cluster broken chords, but when the speed go faster,oh my bowing come to mess with wrist and arm , totally no under control, crash down!
Honestly, I barely saw your hand moving and you still bowed bonkers fast.
Everytime i wanna cross the G and C string i have to put extra pressure on the C string to make enough sound. If i don't use a good amount of pressure, then the bow hair just slides without much sound. How do i solve that?
