  • Happy #CelloTipTuesday, my dolls! For this week's video, we are tackling slurred string crossings and how to make them smoother, and more efficient with just using our bow hand's wrist & fingers! This will also help us to play with more ease & avoid any scrapes / squeaking sounds when we change strings. In the 2nd half of this video are play-along exercises where you can practice and train this new skill with Celli & I! This is a new format I'm thinking of using in future cello tip videos, so please let me know what you think of it in the comments below! 🙏🏻👇🏻

That's absolutely alright Ken, it's the most challenging out of the rhythm variations. With consistent practicing you'll get it! 👌🏻🎻

Thank you for this video! Would you be up to doing a video for non-adjacent string crossings? I'm struggling to get those clean when they need to be quick

No problems with slow speed I practiced for cluster broken chords, but when the speed go faster,oh my bowing come to mess with wrist and arm , totally no under control, crash down!

Honestly, I barely saw your hand moving and you still bowed bonkers fast.

Everytime i wanna cross the G and C string i have to put extra pressure on the C string to make enough sound. If i don't use a good amount of pressure, then the bow hair just slides without much sound. How do i solve that?
