Hi Katherine! At Viva, we apply a topical numbing cream to your skin for 30 minutes. During your RF microneedling treatment, we also offer complimentary Pronox to minimize any discomfort during your treatment. Because the numbing and ProNox desensitizes nerve endings, most patients describe the treatment as virtually painless - like a heating sensation with an occasional, fleeting zap from the micro-needles quickly passing over the skin. RF microneedling would hurt without these measures in place since it penetrates the dermis - so be sure to ask before you book a treatment!
