Episode #2 ua-cam.com/video/w4Oc27282fY/v-deo.html
Actually I think the reason most of the doors in A21 are pre-damaged is because anything over 170HP the door becomes fortified with extra bits of wood on it. They probably didn't want it too look like every door had been fortified or whatever.
I think it's so zombos can 1 hit'em
I assumed it was for cosmetic reasons also
Regular wooden doors have 250 HP before they're reinforced though.
Based on the time I've played A21, They've come pre-damaged depending on the location.
For POIs, fortified (full health) doors are usually locked and hard to break. Most non-fortified (around 2/3 health) ones are unlocked and are pretty much what Fun Pimps intends you to go through. There are some exceptions, such as certain doors like jail doors that are spawned in POIs locked or not regardless of its base HP and state.
For Trader Joel (and maybe other traders such as Trader Jen), it is obviously for cosmetic reasons, the ones that connect the bordering walls seemed to be always fortified.
Its so you can see/act through them and get the hint they can be used as a fight barrier... am i dumb?
I appreciate you rolling with the annoyingly isolated trader instead of restarting! It's cool to see you adjust your plan around that complication.
He should try a Navezgane start. I have three traders on my map and civilization has yet to be found. Progress is so slow. Only benefit is the burned forest gives me coal very easily.
I just restart. Unless you are a pro like Iz, it is impossible to live in the first week without living in a town with tier 2 houses. Plus you need the quests to be quick/close to get that stupid filter for the dew collector. Now that they make it terrible expensive it is stupid. 1500 made more sense, and now it has a "heat signature" even dumber. I love this game, but Iz makes sense with the criticism he has 99.9% of the time.
I just started this game today and I've had to restart 3 or 4 times due to my traders being like 1.5km away from everything. I thought I was just playing wrong, but I feel better reading this.
See how nice Jen is? She even have a free chicken right by her door just for you!
I just finished my 3rd week in game... I'm dying to find an actual town/city instead of a few houses here and there... Just found Jen (second trader) and she's in the burnt forest... Down the street is the desert and the wasteland, I'm so tempted to restart and hope for the best, but also too stubborn lol... It took me until day 12 to finally complete enough jobs to get the bicycle, the jobs were so spread out (at one point the closest job was 3km away... And took me to the snow biome... On day 4... WTF?? 🤯🤣🤯
so about what you said in the min 36, I met you with the previous series, and I'm glad I did (met ya), see a guy who doesn't screw up so badly all the time, shows the best way as possible to do stuff or cheese it, is nice
I like when things are well done :D
Let'sgo! Insane nightmare is WAY too much for my delicate sensibilities, fatfingers and trash reaction time, but watching your play and commentary on it is a rush!
I feel you Bro, I feel you ... great content!
You said it ! Its a real trip to watch a master at work, I play only on console unfortunately but its fun to see how a21 SHOULD be done!
Woohoo Insane nightmare here we go
A fun thing for future! Lockpicking can also grant forge ahead mags, without all the extra stuff advanced engineering does. If you are looking to prioritize forge ahead specifically, its a good one to spec into, also for finding more lockpicks and breaking less for early game.
I'm glad you found your rhythm! The past series had me hooked and this episode was no different! While being sent to a trader in the middle of scenic nowhere can be mildly frustrating, it at least offers an interesting initial challenge. Can't wait for the next one! :)
I really like the daily cadence (although I'd watch either way). They could be even shorter (20-25 minutes).
I'm just going to say, you won the lottery with that toilet knife. That alone would have given you the luxury to build any way you pleased, at such an early stage.
Every time I watch ur videos, You always seem to show me something Ive been in more than a few times and never found these hidden rooms. Thank You
I usually go Perception and Agility, since my default playstyle is stealth archer for 99% of the time, spears for melee, and rifles for horde nights and emergencies. Plus it feeds into Lucky Looter and a couple other perks that I love.
Another addicting, super entertaining series from IzPrebuilt. It's like finding a tier 6 toilet pistol in the toilet (toilet being youtube).
Your channel is the first I look out for when I enter UA-cam. we love watching you as much as you like getting money!
Just found your channel, been playing 7days for ages. New sub feedback: Your voice is extremely relaxing to listen to and I love your accent. You also have an eloquent way of speaking that is appealing.
The muted part made for an excellent bonk montage. 10/10
I've been watching your videos for some months now, and you sound more energetic, like you're finally having a bit of fun again playing. I hope the series becomes a success and you continue with it.
Good luck!
What a cardio! Nice first video Iz. Oh that church :) Looking forward to what you do with it.
honestly never comment on videos but i love the way you play and commentate the game so i want to see more of this
Thanks for the content. I'd love to see this insane nightmare chalenge be pushed as far as it can go. I guess you ll go into a hybrid strength agility build on the long run.
Spoiler alert but yeah.
I'd imagine some kind of 3, 7, 1, 8, 3 spread between the attributes.
I'll need a little salvage operations to make wrenches bareable
I'll need most of strength
I probably don't need much fortitude wise. The only perk I'd even want is pain tolerance and it requires 10 fort to max it anyway.
8 Agility for sneak, hidden strike, parkour, run and gun and probably archery and pistols too.
3 intellect to get physician 1 to insta heal sprains with splints.
Excited for this series, your Alpha21 guide led me to your channel and as a new subscriber. Happy to see more content!
Ok I’ve been playing this since 2013 and didn’t know a couple of things especially the under trader lol. I always drop in and binge a couple of days every update. Ten years I’m pretty glad they haven’t released it. We still have an ever changing game and I’ve more then got my money’s worth since 2013. Great vid!
glad you found a way to enjoy the grind!
a crazy idea i would love to see but don't have near the skill to play would be something like "blood moon every night" or every other night if that's to much.
I still appreciate you throwing in stuff that gives me more tips and info on the game that most videos would never mention. Loved the last series, can't wait to see more of this one!
this time i expect the world to dump you into the void instead of it offing you early. Best of luck, may BugNJesus have mercy on your play through
Been loving your vids, this is a really fun series idea, my boyfriend and I have been trying to do this challenge for awhile so let's it'll be good to see how you tackle it!
Te acompanhando do Brasil! Ótimos vídeos, irmão.
Given your expertise, I do enjoy your Run Away moments a lot!
Watching your A21 Survival got me to actually enjoy streaming it again...I was just testing on Experimental, but now I'm actually playing.
Watched without blinking. Beginnings are always intereting. Thank you for the episode.
This is the series I was looking for edit: I stayed on the exact billboard on my playthrough. Nice to snipe from at night when bored
Looking forward to this series like the others and love the transparency. Already subbed so can't sub again, but figured comment will do. I admit though when finding jen I would've stopped with joel immediately, quick cleared a poi like right next to her, moved my stuff over, and handled looting it and setting up that night. Also loved how you fought those 3 zoms over the worker and he didn't wake up then used the gun on the dog with janitor right there. Maybe he wasn't spawned in but still "perfect game, not broken." Keep it up.
So glad you're starting a new series so soon after the last one. And on Insane Nightmare to boot! You're vids are my goto for watching high level gameplay on 7DtD! Looking forward to more episodes!
To get rid of most of the nothingness in the map:
Put 0% in hills, mountains, rivers, lakes and wilderness POI's.
Also, zombies try to attack from the ordinal directions (NE, NW, SE, SW). So, you can anticipate that attack direction normally.
I am glad that you have found a way to enjoy making the series. Because I really enjoy watching them
Lots of fun, I enjoy your commentary very much
Yes please keep going with this series!
What I’ve discovered that helps avoid self-Molotoving is to jump before throwing. It allows the Molotov to easily float past the blocks close to you. Especially throwing down through a hatch, etc.
I'm gonna be real and say I appreciate that you're taking a garbage start location and rolling with it. I think a lot of people would just roll for a decent starting location for a series instead of playing through something tougher. I don't do Insane/Nightmare, so seeing you play through this insanity sounds like fun.
More blood for the algorithm: Butcher Pete’s is my new favorite base. I put farm plots and dew collectors on the roof, with a fun deck and stairs leading up there. The attic I gutted and turned into a crafting area, and the first floor (second floor for some folks) I turned into a very comfy elevated base, with the road outside being a decent base to build the ramp stuff on. That plus underground parking makes it really fun.
Nice another series now I won't ve bored for the next few weeks
I kinda like how the traders can spawn out in the sticks vs. always being right on the edge of a town. Yeah, it makes quest running annoying af if that's your first trader, but it was way too easy to power level them in A20 since they were always right next to a town
Loving the series’s! Glad it’s working out well for you too!
So far in A21, have you had more fun with the spear build or the club build??
Keep it rolling! - From Bris, Australia.
Good playthrough, can't wait to see more!
I don´t usually watch lets plays on youtube but your content is so enjoyable! Continue the series please!
Hell yeah, I'm playing solo in a different seed and I made my base in the same creepy church close to a Jennie! I'm not in insane difficulty or Max Verstappen speed zombies, but I'm really enjoying alpha 21 so far.
"game are you on drugs? Can I have some?" -izprebuilt
Glad you found (back) joy.
Just now finding your channel. Been watching your videos. Liking it so far.
Excited for another series!
I have no clue how one would even enjoy this kind of torture. You sir, have balls of absolute diamond.
Insane nightmare series! Ive been looking forward to this. Rotten luck on your 1st trader. The varying trader locations of A21 can definitely add extra challenges to the game. I usually play a nomadic kind of game where I pick up my belongings (or as many as I can carry) and move to wherever the new trader is located when the quest progression sends me to one. A20 they were always outside a town of some description that allowed me to quickly gather the resources/loot required to establish a new base and horde base/defence. I like this because I explore a lot more of the map and have to come up with various solution's for horde nights rather than just building something from day 1 and reinforcing it, although being sent to an isolated trader in A21 has certainly complicated that idea just a little. Cheers!
A helpful tip for what you said at 9:15 - zombies seem to have trouble running diagonally so position yourself in such a way that the zombie has a straight path to you, then it wont run sideways and make you stressed :)
Liked, Subscribed, and Commenting! Really enjoying the gameplay.
It’s really funny seeing these kill montages where you show every zombie getting hit. They just can’t deal with you, lol
Absolutely what i needed loved all your series before and now there is already a new one. Purrfect!
Loving how much you seem to be enjoying this! Glad you have found a system that works, and extra glad it just happens to mean more content for me to binge. 😂😂😂
Keep it up, man!!
I made a dessert map and it seems like all the wolves and dire wolves have been moved into that biome. Speaking of early ferals, I came across a demo walking around at night on day 12 lol
I've been playing insane nightmare myself for the past week or so and I'm convinced that they've changed the way that spawn mechanics work in Insane difficulty because I swear I've found way more ferals and tough zombies on day 1 than I ever have before.
Even on standard difficulty it seems way higher. Almost all zombies I came uppon at night, or in a tier 4 POI on level 1 in the forest. Also: Infestation quest made my gamestage jump from 20s to 60s in low level POIs, its insane. I love it. And Cops, there seem to be more cops.
I love this series even more so far, the added danger of sprinting nightmare speed makes for some interesting decisions
Really enjoyed the last series so I am looking forward to this one
Strong start despite the unfortunate trader positioning, and as others have pointed out, you seem more energetic and satisfied with this new format, which im also enjoying. Keep up the great work and cant wait to watch the next episode!
I started a play through a couple days ago in the pine forest. First job POI had two bikers. Second job POI was the one with the dogs and vultures. Big oof.
love it so far can't wait to see more
Hey, I'm glad you started enjoying making videos. Don't get me wrong in Desert Ranger you sounded too serious and pessimistic, while in your recent guide videos ya had a few laughs. Looking forward for more!
Definitely want to see your series continue, I learn a ton of things just from watching you play.
So glad your survival guide did so well for you! I am using your strategies and already have a full cobblestone horde base at day 8 to last me. As long you keep putting out content, I’ll be watching! ❤
Episode every day!? Music to my ears! I love your stuff Iz, looking forward to more! Most importantly though, I am hoping you really do find a way for this to be more sustainable. You sound good in your videos so I hope you are doing well! Best of luck and we'll be watching!!!
I started watching your channel for tips and tricks mainly.. Once I've played a fair bit of 7 days and I'm fully aware of most of the mechanics I started watching the series. Although A21 was the first one I have watched fully. Main attraction was different POI's I'm yet to explore and your innovative use of terrain and blocks
It's a good start. I am looking forward to seeing more from you. You have been a good add for my watch list.
Awesome game !! You are killing it!
Glad you are enjoying it more. definitely will keep watching whatever your release schedule ends up being. Thanks for all the content good sir. With the first episode in this series keep in mind that watches on the day it released might be a bit lower this time because of the American holiday but it should pick up steam tomorrow.
I've seen a few other people use the church as a base. its a good fortification. need to keep tabs on the wall, though.
Thank you for making content. You are very appreciated.
I thoroughly enjoy the skillful gameplay with the snarky comments hehe. Keep it up!
[Finds a feral]
This time the Fun Pimps name becomes clear, fun for them as Sadists.
Fantastic first episode! Looking forward to more!!
Love it, had a game breaking glitch occur today. Was leaving wasteland and got a huge fps drop (low 5's) and drove a bike.
Game launched me first to the sky and then underground, then teleported me to the desert. Motorcycle and drone destroyed but my character intact.
Fps went back to the 100's after i teleported. As soon as i walked back that general area where i got the drop, it went down to 15 fps. Ended up restarting the game a few times, checking for corrupted files. Nothing worked.
Eventually, i reloaded it again, noticed my fps was back to the usual. Made a new mc and drove to that area again to check if it was bugged, as soon as i drove from my base. The game destroys my bike and lags out my character completly. 25 days gone
LET'S GOOOOO BRO ! IM HERE FOR THIS
I love the content. This series is going to be great. Traders in the middle of no where is super hard. I just quit, but you are way better at the game, amazing in fact. I will enjoy seeing how you handle it for future me. Does upping the difficulty get more food in tier 1's, I get nothing but rotting flesh and murky water unless it is a tier 2 on default settings? Thank you for the entertainment.
Great vid looking forward to series
love these serieseseseseses! love your sarcasm!! love it when you cheeeeeeeeese!!!!!
Looking forward to this series.
Great stats on the last series - congratulations! You've become my go-to 7days content creator. I bought the game when A20 came out and because of your tutorials and series I can, and this is a big deal to me - consistently get a bicycle on day 3 (last night I actually finished the 7th quest on day two but was to far away to run back and turn in the quest. I got suckered into looking at shiny things on the way back. I am still a noob (2k+hours in the game) and proud of it. But hell, I rock when getting a bicycle!!
I'm pleased at there being less wolves. My last two bases in A20 would always get at least one wolf every night. And I had one pop up inside one of those tiny roadside markets on day one. Was annoying. I haven't seen hardly any singular wolves but have seen three wolf hordes over a 90 day period. They're a good amount of meat.
LOVE this playthru already!! very entertaining
I'm so glad seing you having fun making those series!
Dont get me wrong, watching your previous one made me feel like you that kind of "bored experienced gamer" who constantly complaining and looking for flaws in the game he is playing because it's not interesteing for him anymore. Not saying that everything should be flours, but generally loving what you are playing and having that positive enjoyment aura is what fits me as a viewer. In any case, glad that you found your rhytm and hope you eventually bump up difficulty of a game as much as possible to show us all your high skill gameplay in his best.
Clubs, killing zombies, potentially living in a church. We are going with the Cleric build it seems.
Found you on your last series. To be honest, I know the game isn't hard, but I still struggle on the Adventurer setting. Skill issue. So seeing how you power through the hardest difficulty is pretty cool.
Can’t wait for the next episode
Te acompanhando do Brasil! Ótimos vídeos, irmão.. Woohoo Insane nightmare here we go.
Confirming: this is a good series. We need good limit testing for A21 and the subsequent small patches that came out so that players can set realistic goals for the first 7 days of the game on any difficulty of play.
Good to here what you like and why in the early game. Only 300 hours in A20+ and still learning new perspectives.
4X content performance is motivating!
Most would've died to that feral at that stage. Well done!
Yesssss. More séries 🥰
Great beginning, way to tough out the less than ideal start with Joel. Not sure if Jen actually has that much near her, guess we will find out.
It's fun watching how you use the mechanics of the game to survive your personal challenges, sure it help many new players learn they have to think outside the box to enhance their skills at this game.
Keep up the great content, looking forward to this series, the last one was great. Remember you are a youtuber, numbers going up is your thing :)
My first zombie encounter in my first playthrough of Alpha 21, in my first POI(the one near your spawn), it was a Feral Tourist🥲
Btw, I love the new series😍
Great episode looking forward to watching the progress
Moar! I love watching other videos while I play this very same game. I've got no friends so I can't play on servers.
Feral's are now much more common. Got a feral biker on day 1, fight was yeah, and don't think you could have called that a fight
