These are ALL excellent insights, deserving of a follow up reply. I’m sure you’re busy, and it’s difficult to find the time to respond. While we , do appreciate that you’ve taken the time to freely pass this valuable information, sometimes a little additional wisdom can help immensely. Thank you-I always value your extremely helpful free short lessons.

I got this tip years ago and didn’t understand it. I thought you moved your whole arm forward like if you were going to shake hands in real life. It’s only recently that I realized it’s nothing to do with active movement of the shoulders or arms, just a pronation of your right wrist so that you’re right hand is perpendicular to the ground and aimed at the target.

If anything, your arms start at the bottom of the swing. Every pro I’ve seen in slow motion fires their arms right before impact. Looks like a magic trick it’s crazy.

I have yet to find a video that completely explains what the wrists and hands should be doing. For example, this video explains a handshake but does not address how to keep the wrist bowed at impact. Does the wrist roll after impact? But if so doesn’t that introduce yet another timing issue? Nobody answers this question! Hitting the ball with a bowed wrist is not easy especially considering the weight of the clubhead. I can do it but it does not allow me to have a big follow through which is where I believe I’m losing distance. My strikes are pure but my swing stops a little after impact.

But to ensure lag, you don't want your wrist bowed at impact. In fact that's the entire objective of aids like HackMotion.

Why do I find this so difficult with driver? With wedges and shorter irons the movement feels perfectly natural but the longer the club, the harder it becomes. With driver I just end up dragging the handle through impact and leaving the face open 🤷🏼

Yes indeed, with a heavy wood clubhead that creates more centrifugal force and inertia, it's more difficult to get the timing right. Typically the root cause is other flaws in the address and/or swing dynamics (such as casting). But even hitting wedges with improper technique, folks often either hit a fat shot or strike it too thin (releasing wrist cock behind the ball).

Maybe swing your arms down first with your back still facing the target, then you can use your left side knee, hip ,shoulder, pushing your left leg into the ground to open hips so club has room to travel around to the hand shaking position .
