One loading screen notes that the alchemist was pretty much the only one that used the telescope
I was spoiled of the fight but at the time it didn't matter. I thought "getting to 5bc is a fever dream lmao" "me getting to the collector fight? Not a chance"
And just now... I finally FINALLY got to fight him. For my first try I got incredibly far (I used Repeater Crossbow) but I ended up dying. But the thought of finally getting to this boss is EXHILIRATING.
And the theme? OH MY LORD! The beginning part is enough to send chills down to your spine. It really slaps you in the face and yells "THIS IS IT! ALL YOUR EFFORTS HAVE AMOUNTED TO THIS! JUST ONE FINAL BOSS AND YOU'RE DONE."

What a coincidence. I also reached collector with that crossbow (legendary tho) and beat him in my first try (I honestly found collector way easier then HotK . Collector is way too predictable. Only thing that can kill me was his spear type attack with his syringe)

I struggled for a while too, but realized it was because I was muscling my way through the game and you can't do that in DC. You need to finesse your way through a lot or you can't hack it in 4BC when Malaise is added. Here's how I solved it -- I went back to 0BC and played through the game with only a shield four or five times - do not pick up any curses. By the time I did that I had learned patterns and timing throughout the whole game, learned how to parry (consequently how to dodge as well). After you learn that, BC 1 - 3 become a matter of sheer patience.
James Brawley I've mostly been running through the first few levels easily without taking damage easily in 1BC till I get to clock tower where I die or I die to time keeper who is usually no problem

@@ultimatepronoob7320 Time keeper is so easy to parry. Tell you what take Pyrotechnics and have a skill that spreads oils. I usually take a heavy turret and a double crosmatic. Took half his health in 3 sec

I didn't think you'd top Clock Tower, but this is now my favourite piece in the entire game, and one of overall favourite OSTs. It has everything: the Dead Cells spirit, epic final boss feel well fitted into a fast pace, stylish callbacks to other tracks...perfect. Special praise for the percussion accenting, it really makes for the cherry on top.

Dead Cells is a love letter to Iga's Castlevania.
This is especially heart warming considering the recent news.

I admit I shamelessly looked up videos of this fight since I'm currently having trouble clearing 2BC with the new enemies right now. I'd like to make it to 5BC eventually.

The bosses of Dead Cells often have their attacks foreshadowed by the enemies of the level that preceded them. The Concierge's flame blade attack is first demonstrated to us in the Sweeper, Conjunctivius's tentacles are seen in the ancient sewers, Time Keeper's lightspeed dash in Clock Tower's automatons, and Hand of the King's ground slam and shield bash in the Royal Guard.
The Collector has a similar enemy in those annoying-ass Librarians and the slightly-less-annoying Magistrates of Death. They showcase the downwards death ray and screen-wide tornadoes respectively. However, a lot of the Collector's attacks also seemed like enhanced versions of other enemy attacks. He has a ground slam reminiscent of the Golem, death orbs that act like sped-up Inquisitor blasts, a syringe tornado similar to the Lacerator's tornado, and even his lunge attack reminds me of the Lancer.
The game has actually been foreshadowing the Collector fight for a while, but because he's hidden behind 5 boss cells and a whole lot of pain, most people don't even realize it.
It's not foreshadowing in that case. Bosses have only one enemy in the previous biome that perfectly mimics its attack.
In the Collector's case, that's just the Librarian. For the ground slam, Golems aren't the only enemy who can do it.
@@LawreAnimations My reasoning behind the magistrates behind a hint towards the Collector is in how the electric skulls act similarly to the tornados.
As for the golem, it’s true there are other creatures that make shockwaves, but the Collectors’s wave is identical to the golem’s. And it’s probably the most infamous of the shockwave enemies.

I have killed every boss in dark souls 3 multiple times.
And I have not even reached this fucker.
I only beat the boss because this song gave me 20 extra brutality scrolls irl
I did all the previous difficulties by trying and failing and trying again, but for 5bc I decided to use custom mode just to give myself health fountains in between levels. For anyone who is struggling to even reach the end of 5bc, I recommend just turning on health fountains. It’s a good way to experience the exclusive content, and it’s also really the only way to practice the collector, since he takes basically no damage from anything in the practice room. In order to experience his phases, you need to reach the op state at the end of a 5bc run. I’m still trying for normal mode 5bc, but I haven’t even made it past time keeper.
Also- a tip for HoTK is that you just have to be sufficiently stressed, as every time I beat him in custom it was because my stress gave me god gamer powers for a minute and a half. Every time I beat him on 5bc it has been by the skin of my teeth.

I beat the collector a couple of days ago, and today I beat him twice. Best boss in the game imo, with the best moment in the game. The music perfectly timed with the final phase and the panacea drop. Best moment of the whole game

I may still be stuck in an eternal loop of hell, but atleast I finally killed The Collector.
This was probably the hardest game I've ever played, holy shit. I almost died a couple of times throughout the fight, but the Giantkiller I'd brought with me since the clocktower, along with ice armor actually really helped!
My full loadout was the giantkiller, spiked shield, powerful grenade, and ice armor.
And today I just got the true ending. This is for sure one of my favourite games of all time.

For anybody trying to get to this boss fight you can try this method it works for me but I’m not sure it will help you but anyway use custom mode and use the shotgun cross bow with the big explosion grenade and play on 5bc also if you die on ps4 quit the game and close application supposedly when I do this i can try again where I left off and don’t have to go back to start but yeah try this if you find this useful
