That match holder used to hang by the gas stove and used the bigger matches. They would strike it right on the iron of the holder & light the stove. I used to have one I kept next to a wood stove.

I love watching your channel. I am a huge lover of vintage/antiques. My mom and dad were collectors. So, I got to make the rounds of yard sales and flea markets every weekend with them when I was a kid. I don't collect but I love to look. Your channel supplies me with many happy memories. Thank you for that. On another note...I make, what is known as, "Junk Journals." I fill them with vintage items, paper items, of course. Every time I see you pick up boxes of old Greeting cards, Christmas cards, Postcards and Photos and then lay them back down, I yell, "Noooo!" LOL!!! These are the things I search far and wide for. I've been lucky to find some good stuff, but; as with anything you love, you always want more. My craft room is overflowing and it drives my OCD crazy. I've alowed it to be the only messy room in the house though.I Anyway...keep having fun picking and I'll keep watching.

That Christmas Bowl that is stitched is made with Christmas Cards. My MIL used to make those. I have several in different shapes. I put Pinecones in some. I have some shaped like vases and I put poinsettias in them also. She would crochet her’s together a little better than that one was done. Her stitching was closer together and the yarn was much thicker that what that person used on that bowl.

I like the hangable box for matches, and the dome to put out a candle flame. You picked it up, but didn’t give it much thought. Oh my gosh, I would have bought all of their iron cookware. That is all I cook with now. Love that yard sale.

You can cut off pieces of the vine and put it in a glass of water. It will get roots. Then plant it in some dirt in a pot and you have another plant !!
It's finally yard sale weather but in Missouri we have rain and more rain that unless you have a garage (I don't)you don't want to pull out tables and tables of stuff. So I have to wait a bit longer. I have 3 flea market booths of items that's been packaged away for years. I closed up shop when I moved my Momma in 7yrs ago. I am going to sell everything(except my Totes of jewelry)and start over. Selling platforms have changed ❤

Yay it's Thursday! A couple of things you may not have noticed... At the first sale, in the container in front of the silverware you were looking at was a white handled utensil - I think maybe a meat fork? That handle shape and color looks like Cutco. It's not the typical brown, so not sure if you've ever found the white pearlized before. :) At the last sale, right next to the cards you bought were some vintage barney tablecloths/party supplies. Those things can do really well! Looking forward to your next video as always!

I just sold one of the cast iron matchboxes, it was bigger than this one. I remember seeing them in my Grandmother's house. She used it on a daily basis to light the gas burners. Lots of interest in them for vintage homes. The little round thing with 2 holes in each side, I'd say a planter. The holes would be for hanging cords.

Matt is the real deal. Back in ‘05 he gave me a Lamborghini and saved 10 babies from a burning building.
The round thing with holes is a small flower pot. The holes ate to hang twine or whatever you are hanging it with from a hanger.

Kayla on the plant ...take it home mix the soil with some soil with fertilizer. Water it every now and then and you will have a beautiful plant.
