As a Georgia fan, I agree with everything you said about Milroe. Extremely athletic, throws a great deep ball and is accurate on pretty much every throw. His one weakness is reading defenses and the offense is certainly watered down to mask his weakness for now. If Georgia can contain him and make him make quick throws and bait him into some bad coverage throws, then they have a chance. Have to bring pressure but keep him contained. Going to be a tall task for sure.

I agree with the reading and vision but his long throws are rarely on target ... in the Tennessee game that 1st TD, there wasn't a defender in 7 or 8 yards and receiver went from left hash mark to the right to catch it. Was another later in the game. He gets away with that because when he runs ... the safeties come in and a receiver gets separation.
As a UGA fan, Bama always scares me. Coach Saban always comes up with a plan, and they have a team built to beat UGA. This will test UGA more than they have been all season. If IGA wins this, they win it all.

Amen! Ive been a Tide fan since 05. Ive watched every game with my father since he first got me into sports. Seeing the growth of this team after the Texas loss is beautiful. A lot of people including some of our "fans". You can never count out Nick Saban. Not to mention, after being benched, seeing Jalen Milroe blossom has been amazing. Im a grown man now & not afraid to admit i was in tears for the "Milroe miracle". I hope our Tide can stop the streak, since they halted us in '21. As a Bama fan the only thing I can agree with you on is a POSSIBLE great performance by Milroe. The best thing Bama has going on now is all the versatility of the offense. Could Georgia cover all of these options? Probably not, and that's what should make this a great ball game to watch.

I’m a Georgia fan and I hate to say it but I think you’re right. In 2021 the one issue our defense had was we couldn’t stop the long deep ball, something Alabama was amazing at. This year, our one issue with our defense is the quarterback run, something Alabama is amazing at, again. It’s like it’s fate.
Typically when a team has a close emotional game like Bama had last week, they don’t do particularly well the next week! Curious to see how Bama comes out! Bama has not played a complete game all year, its been the second half, they can’t afford it this game! Bama should run straight at Georgia and test those safeties often , if they come to play and play a complete game they win! The question is how well do you trust Bama’s offense with Milroe? But sometimes a team just has a destiny, seems like every thing aligns at the right time for them!

A note for you Matt. GA offense this year is the Bama offense of 2021 and Bama offense is similar to GA offense of 2021. So it’s the same situation but different style of offenses. In order for Bama to win they have to keep the game low scoring. For GA to win is to score 35 to 40pts. I don’t see Bama holding GA offense to 20 some points. Ga defense doesn’t allow more than 2 Deep ball completion. So we’ll see is GA really in big trouble or is Bama in big trouble. 🤔
Well, let's be clear here.... 2023 Georgia is not 2021 Alabama on offense. I'm not talking about total points scored but base offensive philosophy. 2023 UGA's offense runs a lot of short and intermediate routes relying on tight windows; impeccable timing routes between QB and WR; and creating angles based on play action. They've scored so much because they've had the superior players with more talent than their SEC East opponents to be able to turn them into big plays after the catch. 2021 Alabama hardly even entertained the idea of running the ball. In fact, it was it's #1 weakness. Bill O'Brien ran a very NFL style offense based on long drop back passes and scrambling Bryce Young to buy time for his WRs down field. *Long story short:* 2023 UGA runs more 3 & 5 step drops when passing. 2021 Alabama ran mostly 5 & 7 step drops on pass plays. 2023 UGA is more balanced on the run. Bill O'Brien seemed to be under the impression he'd be fined by the SEC if he ran the ball more than 10 times a game. I don't know what to expect tomorrow. Georgia is clearly the better team. However, Alabama is more tested. Georgia is hot and on a roll, but how much longer can we seriously expect this undefeated streak to last? History has seen the far more impressive dynasties at Alabama, USC, Nebraska, Miami, Oklahoma, and Notre Dame come up short. I don't know of any serious college football historian who considers this UGA run on the same levels as those teams. So, I don't know what to think... My gut tells me Georgia should win, but crazy things start going against teams the closer they get to pulling off three-peats. It's inexplicable.

Against Rattler, Auburn’s qbs, cook, dart, and other qbs we have played this year they have tried to run early and we did not have a spy out there. As the game progressed on some plays it seemed we incorporated one in, but with how Kirby had game planned and had Georgia playing against mobile qbs I think the dawgs will adjust well against milroe.

Tech runs an old fashioned option offense, you cannot really use them for comparison. In that offense the QB does a ton of the work with his legs in designed runs.

I haven't heard anything here that's earth-shattering information, but one thing you seem to be missing is Georgia's offense. Sure, the Dawgs have to stop Milroe, but Bama has to stop Beck and his ensemble as well. I see this being a shootout and whoever plays the cleanest game (turnovers and penalties) comes out on top.

They really are. They've played next to nobody that Georgia hasn't played except for Texas, and they lost. The refs have helped out Alabama this year. There was a lot of penalties and other previous games Alabama's record should not be as good as it is. I highly believe that Georgia comes out winning all this year

People saying Milroe is a Heisman candidate must be delusional or have no idea what a QB is supposed to do. Life long Bama fan, but Milroe is the worst QB we've had in a long time. He's a great running back, and with an impermeable pocket he throws a good deep ball, but every time he has to make a read, he screws it up. Can't figure out when to hand it off, when to keep it, or see the field enough to figure out who's open. We have to have either a predetermined route, or zero QB pressure and wide open option 1. I think the improvement throughout the year is that to OC has mostly given up trying to let him make decisions. If we can give up the rest of the way and play simple, we might have a chance, if the defense gets 2 turnovers.

I agree with the reading and vision but his long throws are rarely on target ... in the Tennessee game that 1st TD, there wasn't a defender in 7 or 8 yards and receiver went from left hash mark to the right to catch it. Was another later in the game. He gets away with that because when he runs ... the safeties come in and a receiver gets separation.
As a UGA fan, Bama always scares me. Coach Saban always comes up with a plan, and they have a team built to beat UGA. This will test UGA more than they have been all season. If IGA wins this, they win it all.

I’m a Georgia fan and I hate to say it but I think you’re right. In 2021 the one issue our defense had was we couldn’t stop the long deep ball, something Alabama was amazing at. Bama has not played a complete game all year, its been the second half, they can’t afford it this game! A note for you Matt. GA offense this year is the Bama offense of 2021 and Bama offense is similar to GA offense of 2021. So it’s the same situation but different style of offenses. In order for Bama to win they have to keep the game low scoring. For GA to win is to score 35 to 40pts. I don’t see Bama holding GA offense to 20 some points. Ga defense doesn’t allow more than 2 Deep ball completion. So we’ll see is GA really in big trouble or is Bama in big trouble. 🤔
Well, let's be clear here.... 2023 Georgia is not 2021 Alabama on offense. I'm not talking about total points scored but base offensive philosophy. 2023 UGA's offense runs a lot of short and intermediate routes relying on tight windows; impeccable timing routes between QB and WR; and creating angles based on play action. They've scored so much because they've had the superior players with more talent than their SEC East opponents to be able to turn them into big plays after the catch.
2021 Alabama hardly even entertained the idea of running the ball. In fact, it was it's #1 weakness. Bill O'Brien ran a very NFL style offense based on long drop back passes and scrambling Bryce Young to buy time for his WRs down field.
*Long story short:* 2023 UGA runs more 3 & 5 step drops when passing. 2021 Alabama ran mostly 5 & 7 step drops on pass plays. 2023 UGA is more balanced on the run. Bill O'Brien seemed to be under the impression he'd be fined by the SEC if he ran the ball more than 10 times a game.
I don't know what to expect tomorrow. Georgia is clearly the better team. However, Alabama is more tested. Georgia is hot and on a roll, but how much longer can we seriously expect this undefeated streak to last? History has seen the far more impressive dynasties at Alabama, USC, Nebraska, Miami, Oklahoma, and Notre Dame come up short. I don't know of any serious college football historian who considers this UGA run on the same levels as those teams. So, I don't know what to think...

Against Rattler, Auburn’s qbs, cook, dart, and other qbs we have played this year they have tried to run early and we did not have a spy out there. As the game progressed on some plays it seemed we incorporated one in, but with how Kirby had game planned and had Georgia playing against mobile qbs I think the dawgs will adjust well against milroe.

I haven't heard anything here that's earth-shattering information, but one thing you seem to be missing is Georgia's offense. They really are. They've played next to nobody that Georgia hasn't played except for Texas, and they lost. Their schedule is fairly equivalent to Georgia's but they want to use the schedule as a reason for them to manifest a win over Georgia. Let's not forget that Milroe was seen as a bust for the first seven games this season. Just because Auburn gave him a half a hour to stand in the pocket to finally make a play after him blowing the play before, that doesn't make him a great quarterback. Also Georgia is the best defense Alabama will have faced. Regardless if they are not as good as they had been the past few seasons. This is just an Alabama fan trying to manifest a win

No Georgia fans I know are underestimating this Alabama team. Alabama is the only team I worry about all year as a Georgia fan. Dawgs got them this year.
People saying Milroe is a Heisman candidate must be delusional or have no idea what a QB is supposed to do. Life long Bama fan, but Milroe is the worst QB we've had in a long time. He's a great running back, and with an impermeable pocket he throws a good deep ball, but every time he has to make a read, he screws it up. Can't figure out when to hand it off, when to keep it, or see the field enough to figure out who's open. We have to have either a predetermined route, or zero QB pressure and wide open option 1. I think the improvement throughout the year is that to OC has mostly given up trying to let him make decisions. If we can give up the rest of the way and play simple, we might have a chance, if the defense gets 2 turnovers.
Superior Passing & complimentary Rushing is what Bama has not seen. Beck will dish the pill with surgical precision. Milroe cannot beat UGA without a lot of help. Dawgs take the SEC Championship to make it 30 in a row, says so in the script!😉
