I want to share my experience as I had my interview with PNU and passed the 1st round !

Hello. PNU ကနေ GKS-UIC အတွက် Interview ဖြေဖို့အတွက် အကြောင်းကြားတာက PNU ဘက်ကနေ Evulation Period အကြောင်းMail ပို့ပြီး ဘယ်နှစ်ရက်လောက်ကြာပြီးမှလဲ မသိဖူးဗျ။
နောက်ပြီး စစချင်း မေးတဲ့ မေးခွန်းမှာ Korea လို ဖြေမလား။ English ဖြေမလား ဆိုပြီး ရွေးချယ်ခိုင်းသေးလားဗျ။

I would like to ask a question....please reply...on what date did you get the email regarding your interview date and time slot....this year the results for round 1 are to be announced on 10th November and still we haven't received any Email regarding the interview date, time and slot....??
Moreover there is no mention about the interview time allocation except for the remark that ( between 26th October to 3rd November there will evaluation process going on and applicants may have an interview on zoom or through telephone )

There might be no interview at all in some cases, depending on the department you are applying for. For me, it was just within the period of the time they’ve announced. You can contact them and ask if there is any interview or not.
Hi! I passed the first round of GKS since 10 November and my application documents forwarded to NIIED, so when I passed the first round like this, do I need to submit graduation certificate to NIIED? (University Track)
sorry for the late reply. Did you submit the graduation certificate in the first round or not? In my case, I already submitted my graduation certificate in my application so I don't need to submit it separately after passing 1st round. If it's not clear, feel free to DM me on ig.

Is it compulsory to choose universities among UIC track only or can we choose among University track too for computer science engineering?

@@sandyspace_yt I want to apply through University track. So I'm confused whether we can choose Computer Science among university track colleges or only among UIC track, as they mentioned that Engineering fields can be selected through UIC? But UIC have a very few universities to get into.
@@BTSJungKookie_97 if you’re going for uni track, you can choose major & uni under uni track, it doesn’t matter if it’s an engineering major or not. As long as you choose a major under uni track, you’re good to apply!
Can you tell me if I can apply for Korean scholarship if I have 1.3 gpa for undergraduate admission in south korea?
I'm pursuing to apply GKS scholarship for the year 2023. I would like to ask, when you have applied for the GKS (undergraduate). Have you chosen the Embassy Track or University Track? Thank you💙
The program I applied is GKS UIC which is similar with GKS U university track. It has only uni track and this year is the first time. GKS UIC application period starts in mid of February for this year.

Hello! May I ask about the dorm fee. Did you pay the fee for the whole semester at once? Or we can pay it when we receive our stipend monthly?

For scholarship student, we can pay monthly during the language year, and when you start the degree program, you receive the stipend for whole semester at once so you have to pay for the dorm fee for whole sem as well!
I want to apply to PNU next year, I was wondering if the interview is crucial? Like if they don't like you during the interview will they turn you down without caring about other things like GPA, topik, Toefl, awards, etc.
I must say every round is crucial and I’ve heard a lot of applicants getting declined after interview round too! Not to discourage anyone but the interview is crucial just like other documents part! Hope it helps ^^

I believe I have a strong application for my intended program, but I've also been considering applying to Pukyong to increase my chances of admission. Unnie was it undergraduate scholarship or graduate one cause i am very interested in biological sciences n pusan University is known for it , can I apply for undergraduate scholarship if yes how can I get into graduate program, is it like continuous or i have to give test for it again ?
I applied to PNU through GKS program so GKS has both undergrad & grad! You can fine more info about the program in studyinkorea.go.kr ^^

For University track, where should i send my documents? Directly to the university or to the embassy as we send documents for embassy track??
@@Priyaa_777 thank you very much for your reply. another question, do i need to send softcopy(by email) of my application and the documents BEFORE sending? or do i have to tell them that i am going to apply in their University and when i am sending the documents, wait for their approval and then send the documents. Or can i just fill the application form and prepare the documents as told and just send them?
@@Htv1307 it's depends on university,, if university release any extra guidelines with the deadline then read it carefully and send it according to them. but mostly universities don't want soft copies so direct send them Hard copy👍

hey I wanted to choose a less competitive University while applying to gks scholarship to increase my chance of getting selected. So between pusan National University and chungnam national university I chose chungnam bcs I thought it's less competitive & less better than pnu. But since you chose chungnam... I'm in a doubt. Is chungnam hard to get in compared to pusan?so between pnu & cnu which do u think is better based on your experience plz tell
I only applied to PNU and didn’t choose Chungnam:)
for your question, it’s hard to compare 2 universities because it also depends on your profile and major choice ^^ I suggest u to try to find some strong points in your applied major of these 2 universities and think again which is more suitable for u ^^

Can you give me some tips on where I can research more about pnu if they ask why pnu in my sops. Since there were limited info about pnu in English can u suggest some websites/ part of pnu official website were I can search more about the university?

For the question, yes ! You can still apply without TOPIK. But if the course is in 100% Korean, I think it is important to show your interest in Korean and also mention how you will try to improve your Korean in your essays. So, I suggest you to learn at east basic level before applying and earn some certificates even you don’t have TOPIK.

Hi, is there any documents that I have to submit if I passed the first round of selection?
if you need to submit additional documents after passing the 1st round, they will inform you! If not, you don't need to!
Deadline is already over and I submitted my document...So,I can mail the university and ask them about the screening result .Should I go for It or not let it be and wait for their mail .
You can email them like when is the result announced. But some universities don’t reply so you have to wait for the email ^^

솔직히 저도 kdb bank에 대해는 많이 모릅니다. 나라마다도 다른 수 있으니까요.. 여긴 직원모집을 올리는 게 봤는데 다른 것은 잘 모릅니다.

@@MasoumehRoseberry I applied Nanoenergy engineering major. For business, I couldn’t say without much info as it depends on which uni you’re applying to and other factors in your application form!

You have to take the interview in either English or Korean.

Hey so if you graduated high school in 2018, how old are you now? Coz I also graduated in 2020 and applying this year.
I’m 20 now. At my time, we only have to attend 10 grades to finish High School unlike Korean System which takes 12 grades to graduate from high school^^

In my case, I asked my RL from one teacher of mine from the university as I attended university here. If you are high school graduate, you can ask for RL to your Principal from high school.

I attended a university in my country and I was a 2nd year student. But schools were closed when pandemic started and I decided to study abroad ^^ thank u for watching ^^

발음을 위해는 한국인들이 말하는 것을 듣고 따라서 말하고 연습하면 좋을 것 같아요. 그리고 초급을 배울 때 “받침” 소리도 발음할 때 굉장히 중요하다고 생각해요.
말하기 연습도 드라마나 대화 영상 등을 보면서 따라서 말하는 방법이 유용해요. 그리고 파트나가 없으면 혼자 말하는 것을 녹음하고 다시 듣고 스스로 판단하면서 연습할 수 도 있고요. ^^

It's hard to tell by looking at one point like gpa. Choosing a track depends solely on you and how you prefer to apply, and also depends on which uni and major you want to apply! @@ardra_18

Yes, if you are applying via uni track, usually, you need to set the original set of documents. (It means your original notarized and apostilled documents, not the actual original ones (for example, your graduation certificate or smthg).@@ardra_18

I am not 100% sure but as far as I know, No, you cannot. And I also think if you get GKS, you won’t probably need another scholarship ^^ because GKS provides almost everything.

아직 많이 부족하지만 ^^
짧게 얘기하자면… 교과서에서도 공부하고 한국어로된 영상들을 많이 보세요.. 팟캐스트나 드라마,웹드라마, 노래 이런 것들을 많이 보고 듣고, 한국어 자막이 있다면 더 좋고 그것을 읽고, 따라하는 게 많은 효과가 있답니다! 그리고 토픽을 위한 토픽시험질문들을 많이 연습하면 시험문제들과 익숙해질 거예요. 그냥 꾸준히 공부하면 할 수 있을 거예요! 나중에 시간이 되면 한국어 배우는 이야기를 영상 만들어보도록할게요!

Yes I got about 1 week to prepare after announcing the interview schedule.
@@sandyspace_yt thank you for letting me know about this. I have one more question (sorry ㅠㅠ). If you know the other successful candidates from your uni then do you know if computer science dept conducted interviews or not. That will be really helpful.
@@sandyspace_yt actually I have been told that a lot of dept of PNU don't conduct interviews. All this info is messing up with my brain because i am waiting for the results from the dept.

Could you please explain about gks UIC ?
I will attach the link of GKS UIC guidelines in the description. Please kindly check it.
The overall process is similar with GKS U university track. UIC program started this year and unlike with GKS U, it has 10 universities to choose and in the guidelines, you can look for the majors you can applied.
Selection processes are the same with GKS UNIVERSITY TRACK.

@@sandyspace_yt can u help me, am applying to kookmin university but it is kinda confusing me. It said through uic, I can only apply through university track. Only uic IA and software ( school of software) are available through university track so is software uic program as same as software engineering? Will the campus be different since kookmin is in seoul? Btw I wanna study software engineering
