The DST sarcophagus looks more realistic and detailed, plus the not so shiny colors feel more real like you have just discovered it, buried in a pyramid for thousand of years rather than the "factory new" Neca one. On the other side the Neca figure shows its teeth in detail! You can clearly see the evolution in detailing between those two figures. It's like jumping from VHS to 8K! Having both of them is the best solution! Nice review.
You said the Select one looks more detailed, then you go on to say the NECA one is more detailed. I'm so confused lol. I get it though, you were just saying Select's is more realistic with the (more detailed in) aged look only.
the NECA set does look a little better but i still have the diamond select version and that is a pretty solid and heavy bastard for a toy. i still think its cool....i love NECA but their pricing is gettin crazy. i know there's inflation and cost of materials...everything is up but it's definitely different than back when things were like 12 bucks for a figure. great review......good comparison
Thanks, I appreciate it! I try to do those sorts of comparisons whenever I can! Appreciate you watching the video. Plenty more with monster movie figures and other figures to come!
That sounds like a backhanded compliment lol. Not sure when you're referring to quality if you mean it's excellent, or like something from the Dollar Tree. I've seen both ends of the spectrum at museums....usually it's not super high quality stuff, just super expensive.
Thanks for the review. The chest from the deluxe Mummy fits inside the chest that comes with the Accessory Set. Just like it did in the movie. Found two in FYE and then I spotted two more in a local Toy Shop for $40.
Thanks for the info about the chests and where to locate this! I had to hit quite a few Target stores before I finally found one (and left the other) and haven't seen them in person since! Thanks for watching the video and subscribing! More monster stuff to come!
Awesome video! I really appreciate that you compared it to the other version. Have you seen the Figma King Tut that just came out? I just got that but haven't unboxed it. I am waiting for the Neca set to get delivered so I can see them side by side. Great channel, I made sure to hit that subscibe button!
Thank you for watching! I don't have the Figma King Tut but just Googled it and it looks amazing! Thanks for subscribing and I will subscribe to your channel as well ... Looking forward to your reviews of the Figma King Tut and NECA Mummy set!
I bought the Diamond select Mummy and Sarcophagus, just after I ordered the NECA mummy, I think I paid about $40 on ebay. The only thing I didn't like about the NECA accessory set is that backdrop, it's way too small. I plan on building a Diorama with both coffins and some archeologists with their backs to the lurching mummy, who is intent on murderizing them
The NECA Mummy figure individually ran about $32 and the accessory set is about $40. I bought the Diamond Select figure & sarcophagus years ago, and that cost me about $25 back then. Probably more on the secondary market now. Thanks for watching the video!

Great points! I love them both for different reasons. I'm just thrilled to my hands on more Mummy product!

This is like a museum gift shop piece, in the looks and the quality.

@@Chalor. That’s fair, some museum pieces are low end.
I mean this is high end.

I like what they included, but yes, a larger backdrop is always welcome. Thanks for watching the video!
"murderizing them" 🤣 love it!
How much for each figure?

Target and Big Bad Toy Store.
Thanks for the info and thanks for watching!
