I clearly think Victoria does invite broad range of occupations. However, they prefer applicants with Superior English and skilled partner if not single

    Good day,
An immigration agent told me that all people who applied for 482 visas outside Australia are in for a disappointment as the Immigration Department is NOT prioritising offshore applications. This means the processing times are going back to the previous 3 to 6 months timeframes. People getting 482 visas in a few days or weeks is NOW A THING OF THE PAST in 2024.
This immigration agent says he is 100% certain as he has people 'he knows in the department'. Not sure how true this is but if it is, this is bad news for you people waiting for those 482 visas. Your employers might probably retract on those job contracts.

I would like to know interior designer occupation in NSW under target sectors or not?

    • @WorkVisaLawyers
      @WorkVisaLawyers  7 місяців тому

      Hi Mohamed,
The NSW target sectors are quoted from their website:
The sectors we've identified align closely with the skills shortages in NSW and include:
      Health
      Education
      Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
      Infrastructure
      Agriculture
      www.nsw.gov.au/visas-and-migration/news-and-updates/nsw-priority-sectors-focus-over-skilled-occupation-lists
The occupation of interior designer is not in the target sectors. We are finding that many short term occupations like Interior Designer are not getting invites from any states, as the states have reduced quotas this year and have a more narrowed focus.

      Hi,
The processing time for most 190 is currently 11 to 12 months. Priority occupations in health and teaching will take more like 1-3 months.

WA ‘s state sponsorship program is definitely rigged. I have 95 points for 491. But an applicant from another state with the same points was selected in the last round. I can only assume that there is something behind doors at play.

    • @WorkVisaLawyers

      Hi,
      Thanks for your comments.
Always interesting to hear about your State sponsorship experiences.
Are you already in WA? You would expect from the invitation ranking on the WA website that those in WA would get priority.

Good luck in getting an invitation soon.
