@@CoderaO7 if you want to get the super cap, they are currently (and temporarily) a reward for reaching 100 rep with crime boss and both of the queens. For cherry, just get 100 rep with the crime boss an yocan buy it for 60 mil. For the 2 combat super caps, get 100 rep with *both* queens. You can then buy the solvernia from charotte and the novernia from the robo queen. Both for 60 mil each. (To claim one the loyalty rewards, just talk to them and start a convo, it wont appear under jobs they offer)
That's really cool and quite an honor. Love the fact that you chose a destroyer. UAF strongly lacks destroyers, and while Lovela is OK, jumping into UAF cruisers are a powerful upgrade over the Lovela. Not to mention, UAF mostly appear to be typically faster than the average midline and high-tech SS counterparts, though I believe they are midline based initially. For this, it's tough fitting in Lovela with the rest of its fleet(it's slow). Lyora will be an excellent option it seems, included with maneuver jets. I think a properly skilled officer can really make it shine among bigger UAF ships. After close inspection, Lyora reminds me of Seniraja (a cool design), but sleeker, sharper, and smaller. Anyways, it's a unique ship that's very cool.

What guns are on your Lyora? I chose it as my starting ship and just gave it to the AI until I saw the missle for the first time...... Its FUN and I can only hope UAF will be developed until the final version of Starsector so we never lose this glorious mod.
I've put together a number of loadouts. But the most destructive in player hands was minibreve on the Medium mount and Exoscars in the small mounts. Could destroy a lot of ships with the burst damage + Lion's Roar.
I like it. Here's an idea, make a questline to obtain it, and intergrate one of the older sprite iterations as a failed, but still viable prototype version of the Lyora. Like a less good version of the original. It'll partially appease the players who want more than one, while still not giving it to them, but they are getting a unique ship, and we all know how people have to catch them all.
I CANNOT wait to fly this beast......and imagine, a full fleet of em and blasting Lion's Roar after Lion's Roar Edit: Just finished the video, and I have to say, 30 of em is what I imagined CHAOS is supposed to look like
Im moderately sure the shield piercing is a happy side effect of starsector physics when shields meet a fast moving object or one with lots of mass. The fast/heavy object can shove its way through a shield to some extent and sometimes even clip into the ship itself (try using a big ship with burn drive on a station, happens consistently) And since the lion’s roar is both fast and heavy it’ll gladly force its way through a shield if it can’t bounce off the shield or shove the shielded ship out of way fast enough.

the first prototype looks like the upsized version of the UAF frigate hull. Can make a new ship out some interesting abilities like buffing frigates and fighters on the frontline. (Most UAF destroyers are durable...Give a high hull point for supporting small vasslas)

Been playing Starsector for about a year now, and I only JUST got around to doing a UAF playthrough (after watching your review on it for like the 3rd time lol). My early fleet comps were capital heavy, which was fun, but since I like to use the vanilla battle size I found that my fleet size was pretty small. That is, till I found the Lyora. Taking it as my flagship freed up a lot of points, which let me add some frigates to cover my flanks, and more importantly, set the Lyora up as an anti-fighter/control platform. The Lion's Roar is PERFECT for clearing out enemy fighter waves, and creating openings for my own bombers to push through. Auroran perfection. o7
so it's like a torpedo with big mommy queen's thicc compressed into it and it boing boings all the ships when it detonates make patch that replaces explosion sound with lava cookie sound and one with a low quality deep fried sound clip of ironcladlion's unbiased at 0:20
@8:33 a ship next to you seemed like it was firing a beam of some sort I haven't seen before or was that just the ship system? Seemed it still was targeting that ship after it was dead. @9:10 That pather ship seemed like it had a new Hellbore Cannon? Lots of stuff I haven't seen before when I thought I'd used alot of mods before, but I guess I'll have to use your mod list (including the pain of IED pathers) to see it all. Great video for us but mostly for Milkydromeda as a thank you for the work they did, can't wait to try out this new ship and all the new things in the next patch.

so does the lion's roar do damage? I couldn't tell? Or is it a complete support weapon. I was thinking of something similar but on second explosion it caused an emp/overload effect (no damage unless hitting a phase ship out of phase). With a 8-10 sec cool down. Emp effect only lasts for 3-5 seconds It would allow for the smaller ship to hit in a higher weight class. But I couldn't figure out what kind of ship it would be built into.

Don't know how you manage to play Starsector, but the supplies issue is still a factor that impede my gameplay. Tried to manage supplies excessive costs to no avail, a big fleet is impossible to manage with the current supplies costs. As soon as you engage in a big battle, the supplies cost is huge. The fact that ships deteriorate without supplies per day basis is utterly ridiculous, they literally fall apart like melting ice cream in a heat wave. I haven't seen any helpful videos guide to address this issue.

(Yimie and Mizuki) Because(with steady officers) UAF powerful fighter, the carrier onboard weapons are rarely used, thus lowering the support on vanguard ships which take the brunt of the assault. (Too much burden on the frontline and too long to take out enemy ships) The middle line that supports both UAF's aggressive frontline ship and slow capital ships is indeed a need. *** A lot of UAF weaponry is friendly fire

I've watched you play far too much Red Faction to not know EXACTLY where you got your Lion's Roar inspiration. Which meant I laughed for a full minute starting at 0:33.
Would like to.see a ship that has modest armor,shields but crappy weapons, instead once flux is at a certain lvl you can dump it all into a capacitor you can eject it into space towards the enemy after a time it will detonate, or you can target it creating a rather large blast. With some decent damage.

It does a small amount of damage, but it's mostly an EMP / support weapon.

I highly suggest upgrading to JRE8 if you haven't already, it makes Starsector run MUCH smoother.

It isn't easy, and running a large fleet is supposed to be expensive. I usually max out the industrial tree first for exactly that reason.

@@IroncladLion no. I dont really notice eye colors. I think my mild colorblindness has pushed me to ignoring subtle colors or small things of color... Also more than one character can have heterochromia
