My last puppy I was on it as soon as she woke, ate, played. I whipped her straight outside. It didn’t take long to house train her as it was very rare she managed to do anything inside. I rescued a little terrier and he was trained within 24 hours to ask to go out. If he hadn’t have been male and I already had two dogs I might have kept him. He was so very smart. He was rehomed within 48 hours.
If I saw I was gonna be too late. Because my hallway to the door is long. I lifted her up and tucked the tail between her legs and walked to the door putting on a leash and walked out when she was a puppy. She was potty trained a month after I got her, although she might have had an accident or two although I continued to take her out first months before going to the toilet myself. Then as I had her a few months I started going to the toilet she would usually just stay in the bed until I was ready. A friend's dog never got over peeing inside so it's different for every dog but my friend couldn't take it any longer when the dog peed all over place everytime she came home even after a year. Which I found really weird
