Let's say that both Live Action versions have similarities: They are both big cats with a scar over their eye. Both are much darker and more menacing than their animated counterparts. Although both Shere Khan and Scar are respectively a Bengal Tiger and an African Lion, they look nothing like the species they represent but more like their subspecies since Shere Khan's large build makes him look more like a Siberian Tiger than a a Bengal Tiger and the shape of Scar's mane, build and characteristics make him look more like an Asian Lion than an African Lion. Both have voice actors who were in the UCM.
A fully grown male lion, and fully grown tiger fighting each other would end close, the lions mane would protect his neck and the lion would win because of durability.

It's ony logical th igen wilwin it is bigger stronger and can fight while ts on the hind legs. A lion can't fight the same way as a tiger can so the tiger would clearly win one vs one fight.
