Hi, my name is Jen I am 44 and live in Connecticut with my husband and 8 year old son. I am a stay-at-home Mom and full-time UA-camr with a degree in business with a focus in marketing. Before leaving work when my son was born, I was a commercial lender at a bank. I also worked at Sephora and Macy's doing visual merchandising.
I have dry skin with some hyperpigmentation and fine lines. I love natural makeup looks but occasionally go outside my comfort zone a little bit. On my channel you'll find lots of videos about drugstore makeup and drugstore dupes (those are my favorites to film!) but I also review high-end makeup as well. I've gotten several comments from viewers who are disappointed that I didn't use bright colors from the Home Alone palette. I'm so sorry about that, I do try to use color when I can and the green shadow in the palette was speaking to me...but I had a parent-teacher conference the day I was filming and didn't want to do something too bright or loud for that. Even though I love neutrals I do try to use color here and there, especially greens and purples, which are my favorite. I'll try to be better about that in the future. ❤️🥰

Jen I really love the look you did. It was a little smoky which is different from what you usually do and I like it! I also wear neutrals most often so I appreciate more neutral looks since I rarely wear color. I stopped watching creators that do colorful looks all the time because I know I'm never going to wear them. Just to give you a different perspective!

47??? How?? You look much younger Jen!💕💕 you just made me not worrying about aging anymore. Overdone fillers and botox can age people so badly nowadays. People with so much botox look even older in my opinion. And taking care of yourself and being a high maintenance woman keeps you much younger than doing nothing but botox in your 30s. Besides all of that, I think your energy keeps you young too! You have such a youthful, safe, feminine energy. I’m 20 and really not worried about aging anymore. It was an amazing video by the way, so much love from Turkey!! 💕🫶
Aw thank you so much! Truthfully I'm afraid to get Botox. It relaxes your facial muscles and I think about the muscles on your body- if you don't use them, they can become weak. I wonder if in another few years, we might start to see people with faces that are sagging from too much Botox. The muscles may not be able to hold the facial structure anymore because they haven't been used. That's my fear and one of the reasons why I won't get it.

NYX is a pretty reliable brand, imo. They just don’t have many misses. Love the Snatch brow pen, the serum concealer. The fat oil stick pens are great, too. I’ve never tried a foundation or a mascara from them, but in my experience, they are a really solid brand.

The NYX Can’t Stop Won’t Stop foundation is A-MAZING! It’s one of my favorites and performs so much better than a lot of high end foundations for me. I am honestly surprised how well the Home Alone eye palette performed! The browns blended so well! 😮 it looks like the lip stains are a nice formula, but I hope they add some more cool and not so bold shades. You and I are literally a month and a few weeks apart in age. Crazy! This was a great video. Love NYX!

I love the brown eyeshadow on you. I usually don't gravitate to it because it's " boring" and I have light brown eyes but when I wear it I never regret it! It's kinda magic in that way, especially with a little shimmer. I will definitely try the nyx lip gloss stains sounds good to me 😘😘

Nyx really is a super solid brand! I love the brow products, that serum concealer, and so many of their lippies! I don’t usually go for their foundations, but I’ve heard they have an amazing pressed powder too!

Got the lip iv yesterday in the shade water bout wine and I'm in love. The gloss colour is beautiful, the stain is long lasting and honestly perfect for a natural makeup look
Nyx has so many gems. I feel like everything I try from them I end up loving. All the lippies look so good on you. I will have to try one of them. I haven’t tried their eyeshadows but they look so cute too.

It's interesting how people describe the smell of the buttermelt bronzer. I've heard vanilla and now coconut! But I get buttery smell. I love it! But I don't mind any of those fragrances!🥰

The Can't Stop Won't Stop foundation is so slept on!! It's one of my favorites from the drugstore when I want/need something more matte. The only gripe I have about it is that the foundation routinely gets dried up in the nozzle of the pump; that can be frustrating. You have to always make sure to put the lid back on after using it, and then I've also had pretty good luck with scraping out the dried gunk with a paperclip.
This is a wonderful video and I love everything you showed us. The lip colors by NYX are beautiful and leave a great stain color. I like the foundation on your skin Jen and the shade is perfect. Hi Jen, I'm always looking for a good lip stain and I like it when I can still feel them on my lips after a long time. I am not a lip gloss fan, because they don't last very long. The NYX eyebrow, I use everyday! It really is great. Your eyes look very pretty.💚
You may have already heard of them but, there is a brand called nekoyanin that sells really good shade range of lipstains, and the owner of the brand has a youtube Chanel (the name of the chanel is the brand name) where she shows the products and swatches for them.

I love the look you did with the palette!!! That rose gold was absolutely gorgeous on you, and really made your eyes stand out! I STILL haven't tried any of the buttermelts yet. Blushes or bronzers. Maybe now that they are in a trio, ill get around to it! Thanks for trying all the lip stains that you did. I know it must wreak havoc on your lips to keep putting then on and taking them off. I loved the one you chose to keep on afterwards, it almost looker like it had a bit of mauve to it. It looked great!!💜

NYX did some great work this year despite many other brands are copying each other. Also I would love to grab that glue primer since it does remind me of my childhood when I was doing handcraft with white glue.

Have you tried the NYX Plump Right Back serum primer? It’s my current favorite and I’ve been using it for about a year now I think. Perfect balance of stickiness and smoothing. It’s in a translucent neon yellow pump bottle.

I love the can't stop won't stop foundation. It holds up amazing on my veryoily skin. I also use the pressed and loose powder. I also love their matte setting spray and the butter bronzer. I want to make a nyx order to try some of their new products.

I always felt like NYX was way to expensive for the drugstore so haven’t really tried anything aside from the glitter glue. I always just go straight for the more affordable drugstore options when I go in person to browse
They are a little more expensive but I've found that the quality is good more often than not and you can get things on sale at Ulta (or use coupons too!).
I agree. I think the price point is very high and I never had a good experience with any of their complexion products. They look and perform “cheap”.
@@kathleenp3135 yes the aesthetic of the brand also dosent make me gravitate to them either. I’ve never had good luck with foundations, so seeing their prices for complexion stuff never made me try them as a poor college student, but thankfully I found a good spot with whatever Korea is doing with their foundations for now!

I cannot get a shade match on any NYX foundation it is really crazy I here there foundation is nice I can’t even mix 2 shades really frustrating I wear a creamy natural something along that range and I am cool tone should not be that hard I think I just gave up lol. Your skin is so beautiful ❤ , I have very dry skin and I cannot wear the can't stop won't stop foundation at all no matter how I prep or what Primer I use it looks cakey and flaky so I avoid it , have you tried the bare with me blur Foundation as I absolutely love that one I use it with the huda beauty easy blur primer and it looks good on dry skin xx

Jen, I was hoping for a review from you on the lip product. On their website in the video, the model has those strings between her top and bottom lips. So you did not mention that and I am going for it. My lips are so dry, they hurt. Laniege does nothing. Thanks for the great video!
I didn't see those strings, thankfully but I was also careful not to apply too much. That happened to me with the new Huda Filler lip glosses and it was gross! These have that thicker texture so I made sure to apply them in a light layer. They're very pigmented so you don't need a lot. If your lips are super dry, these won't hydrate like a balm, but they're not as drying as a matte lipstick...more like a gloss.
I love the can’t stop won’t stop foundation, but the pump gets clogged so easily! I have to keep tooth picks with it to keep product from building up
I have cool toned brows, and I finally found the perfect shade match for my brows. It’s the Em Cosmetics brow pencil in light taupe. I find that every single taupe shade I have tried is warm toned. Last time I checked Taupe is not warm toned. My hair has a slight red tone to it, but my brows are a brown shade with zero warmth to them. Every pencil I have tried has looked ridiculous on me, until I needed free shipping on my eyeliner and added that Em Cosmetics pencil to my cart😂

I’m going to try not putting concealer where my lines are under my eyes. It’s frustrating because that’s where most of my darkness is but it ALWAYS settles and looks terrible
