Haha right now just trying to fit my puppet into mens smalls sized t-shirts. Even though i took liberties with the patterns, I just gotta say major thanks to you Adam, it was your puppet tutorials that helped push my channel to get started. Much love man.
Man, I just binge watched your videos from start to finish and have a puppet half way made downstairs. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your knowledge and explaining your process in plain language. Subscribed and looking forward to what you have to share in the future. Many thanks.
There’s not many places where I am that do puppetry classes or making puppets. I’m skimming through these videos to see if it’s what I want and yes! I’m level 2 in fashion and textiles so I’m hoping the skills I have already will come handy in the process of this. I’m hoping to go into puppetry when I’m older, it has seemed as if puppetry has died out - however it’s slowly making a comeback as something new since tv now a days is flooded with CGI shows instead.
+NANI NANI KIDS: This style of puppet does not have legs. I suppose if you wanted to give him legs you could. It would be the same process as making the hands. Just draw a foot instead of a hand pattern.
Uh oh! It sounds like I should have waited. I've been using these tutorials to make a hairy monster puppet. It's working fine, though. :) Thank you so much for sharing your talent with others.
Thank you for all the tutorials! They were all very cool and helpful... can't wait until the next one, I was wondering if you would do some mechanism tutorials?
Hello, Adam! I'm a big fan of your videos about making puppets and actually have used a lot of your tips while making my own first puppet. I'd appreciate very much if you could give us some tips on replicating a puppet I don't have the patterns for anymore. The thing is, making my first puppet, from the patterns to the final build, i changed a lot of details on the go, and now I need to make a new version of it, with better material than I could afford at the time and changing a few things that now I know would make it better. Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks for the great job!
I was like looking for shirts for my puppet I was try to look how to make shirts for my puppet and then I looked for you guys and this was understanding all of the people who said that the puppets need Isis NFL you guys you guys were amazing understand that so I give this a shout-out
Hi, I recently got very interested in puppets and puppetry, and ventriloquism, since I am a kid I do not have very much money, or a job, so what should I do to make a puppet with household items that I have at home, and to keep costs down? Hope you can help. -Your friend from the internet.
I don't have too much experience in this area, so years ago, I was lucky enough to find a professional doll clother/costumer in my town who I would commission to make the wardrobe for my puppets . . . however, she's always booked way in advance and hasn't been able to squeeze me in (I guess dolls must be big business), so I had to stop using her and try it myself. Obviously, I'm not that good, but I do my best and at least get passable results.
But can the apparel fabric at johan still work (because my mom won't be happy if I'm destroying good clothes and i don't think i have any clothes i don't use that have the color i want/need)
I don’t recommend destroying good clothes. I would recommend getting second hand clothing from a thrift store as mentioned. But sure. You can use Joanns fabric.
Hey adam where do you recommend to get foam at? I dont know i want a store but there is a website called puppet pelts which is great! My Dad said Joans fabric or micheals but none of them had it.
I'm getting a 28-inch Dwayne puppet full body and I'm wondering and asking if I'll be able to change his clothes I know he has removable legs and the control stick on his hand are these type of Puppets able to change the clothes
Obviously, the size of clothes you use depends on the size of your puppet. I use 2T to 4T and sometimes have to make alterations. I just bought a super-cute fake-fur coat that's just size 18 months. I won't close it in front, and it will fit just fine.
Dear Adam, Have you ever thought about create a puppet-looking wearable head mask? As you talk, he will also synchronize and close his mouth. I think it would be nice.
@@PuppetNerd like a spandex wrestling mask. I'm curious if it's be easier to "skin" the mask onto the puppet or sew an actual pull-over mask. I'm not sure how deformed the foam will get.

I'm really loving the content you provide and I'm very excited to apply what I've learned as soon as I can!!! :o)
What a lot of doll makers use is either air-dry clay, or epoxy sculpt. Air-dry Clay is lighter weight, but epoxy sculpt is stronger. What I would probably do, is make the horns out of air dry clay first, but make them a little bit smaller than you intend to have them, then go over them with a layer of epoxy sculpt. Fair warning, I'm by no means an expert, this is just what I would do based off of what I've seen other people do.
Can you make a puppet just like me and then Dickens send me a picture on Facebook and so this is what I look like so I have glasses I have I am actually want five fingers as well and a slot to put my hand in and control the mouth and I want a body legs feet I want everything but a human has even eyeblink in my scene can you do

If I’m not mistaken, you work at an elementary school, right? If so, do you show your students your puppets and teach with them?
Sure do! ua-cam.com/video/Occ2MwNDMYY/v-deo.html

I was worried last week! Thanks for giving me something to look forward to!
Wow! That is great! I've always used children's clothing, but you have motivated me and challenged me.
I'm puppet making as we speak. I still need to figure out legs. I figured out mech eyes and brows. That was hard but cool.

Adam Kreutinger can you give me a puppet pzz
Do you know how much it cost for all the stuff to make the puppets? Let's just say it isn't cost effective to just give them away LOL
LIAR!!!! Why would you ask for a free (NON-COST EFFECTIVE) puppet when your making one. People are trying to take advantage of you Adam.
NANI NANI KIDS it’s just arms but the ‘fingers’ whit h will now be toes are closer together
Thank you so much for doing these videos Adam! Very informative!
Your tailoring is the best I've seen so far.🤔

I have a question if this a cloth design that I invented myself so can I create a pattern out of it and later attach this to a puppet if so than how?
This was a great series for puppet building. Can you make a Rod-handed puppet next? Can you make it wear a sweater vest :O
How would I make pants? Would I just leave a hole at the bottom?
Yeah.
Adam Kreutinger thanks!

Joseph Scarbrough Keep on trying bro! What does you'r current work look like?
Is there a childrens or babies shirt size that would fit a 22 inch puppet?
Hey Adam. Do you take requests for puppets? And how much would it cost? I don’t have a lot of time on my hands to make my own. Thanks.
Sorry. I am currently closed to commissions.
Adam Kreutinger it’s fine! I totally understand.
I want to make big puffed shoulders to make it like a noble man’s attire and ruffles collar. Any tips?
will you put this puppet that you are using as the tutorial on Ebey

Yep. You can use anything to make a puppet.

Fourth puppet on the top right shelf looks a lot like the one this guy made for Princey from Sanders Sides XD
I used the same pattern. That’s my magician character.

I have made walk around characters before. I don’t see one in the near future.
I'm trying to make a shirt for a certain puppet I made with some of your patterns. Can I share a photo/video of it and see if you can help?
Join the Kreutinger Puppets Q&A Facebook Group. I take questions there.
In general, I need to learn how to sew.
Learning to sew clothing will improve your puppet making A LOT!
Adam Kreutinger 👍yes 😁
Can like normal fabric work for clothing (or well it be to thicc to sew)
What do you mean by “normal fabric”?
@@PuppetNerd i mean like the fabric that Johans got (not fleece fabric)

Happy to help!
Do we have to be on a top ten subscriber list to get a response? I am wondering have you ever made rubber puppets.
+Ron Hill: I do not understand your question.
Adam Kreutinger he .means latex puppets. Like Shawn the sheep
How much did this puppet cost all together
It depends on where you get your materials and a grade and brands you use.
What about making pants
Please, please, show us how to do a Minecraft puppet. Maybe just the differences from a regular puppet. Like the mouth plate. Thanks!!!
What about build a bear cloths
Depends on the shape of your puppet.
It’s because I’m building a puppet
Again. It would depend on the shape of your puppet.
Or baby clothes work as well. I used them for my Grand Dad Joe.
Adam, where are you from? I just think you sound midwestern but not sure (CO expat living in England)
