- St Therese of Lisieux, also called St. Therese of the Child Jesus or the Little Flower, it a beloved Saint of the Catholic Church. She was born January 2, 1873, in Alençon, France and died September 30, 1897. St Therese was canonized May 17, 1925 and named named a doctor of the church by Pope John Paul II in 1997.
Catholic Saints offer specific heavenly assistance through their intercession. St. Therese is the patroness of missionaries.
The autobiography of Saint Therese of Lisieux is called, The Story Of a Soul.
Two and a half years before her death in 1897 at the age of 24, as St Thérèse began writing down her childhood memories at the request of her blood sisters in the Lisieux Carmel, few could have guessed the eventual outcome. Yet this "story of my soul," first published in 1898 in a highly edited version, quickly became a modern spiritual classic, read by millions and translated into dozens of languages around the world.

I like this quote from St. Therese: "I am certain that even if I had on my conscience every imaginable crime, I should lose nothing of my confidence, but would throw myself into the arms of my Savior. I put up with myself as I am, with all my countless faults. How great a joy it is to know that God makes allowances for our weaknesses and understands perfectly the frailty of our humanity. God our Father loves us always, absolutely, unfailingly, eternally."
My mother named me THERESE,,, after St. Therese. My mother was very sick with a flu when she gave birth to me. She was delirious and kept calling out saints names. The last saints name she said was St. Therese As I was arriving. My mom said St Therese's strength gave her the strength to keep going.
childbirth's no picnic.
I just found out a few days ago that I'm related to her, that fills me with joy. I've always been drawn to her
How exciting!
I love Therese', her petitions I attribute to two healings for me. I am also related to a Nun-Saint; Mary MacKillop, who was born in Australia, and founded two Orders of Sisters.
That’s amazing!

thank you for he lovely video.
Everything is a grace, everything is the direct effect of our Father's love - difficulties, contradictions, humiliations, all the soul's miseries, her burdens, her needs - everything, because through them, she learns humility, realizes her weakness. Everything is a grace because everything is God's gift. Whatever be the character of life or its unexpected events - to the heart that loves, all is well.
Therese of Lisieux

Yes. Great idea. I’ve already done on like this for Mother Teresa. I am not sure how many I could do. This style of video is very time consuming. It took 2 full days of editing. But perhaps another one down the road. 😀
Thank you for all your hard work in making this video. May it bear much fruit. St Therese, pray for us.

Thanks for watching!
Nice & inspiring.god bless you all❤
I'm doing her novena so thank you for that!
Me too!
Yeah, but is she a Saint merely because of the time period she was born in??? I'm a die hard Catholic and I love St. Therese, but when I read about her I can't help but wonder. Of course she was a Holy person....but, I mean, do you really think she would have been so eager to spend her life in a convent if she had been born in 1983 instead of 1873???
Is her holiness due more the time frame she grew up in?? Back then there were not that many opportunities for young girls. You either got married and raised a family or you became a Nun.
Do you really think Therese....a cute, young, upper-middle class French girl (today) would have followed the same route?? I highly doubt it???.
Oh Ken..this is so beautifully done !! The music , pictures and quotes truly touched my soul ...brought me to tears. Thank you.
Thank you. I am glad you found this a blessing. 😀

"Remember that nothing is small in the eyes of God. Do all that you do with love."
I love this so very much. There is an Emily Dickinson poem:
If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain."
Merci St.Therese of Lisieux ❤

@@davidlemaster2034 yes I think she would still be a Saint because she loved God more than she loved the world
@@carolgonka6596 yeah, maybe......the opportunity to sin for young females is MUCH more widespread today!? And more accepted. I mean, you're telling me that she wouldn't have a cell phone?? She wouldn't be on social media?? She wouldn't be taking selfies and dancing on tik-tok?? Okay? I hope you're right....but I don't know
Thank you

St. Elisabeth of Dijon said that within times of banality there is opportunity for Christianity.

St Therese Little flower please pick a rose from the heavenly garden and send it to me with a message of love. Ask God to grant me the favor I asked and tell him I will love him each day more and more. St Theresa
Every hearts desire IS already A PRAYER , as GOD always look at the heart, bodily posture is only a ways to get into prayer... St.Therese achieved INTERIOR SILENCE the very core of Gods Chamber that she became like the very person of His Bridegroom that SINCERELY LOVE , gives value , and meaning of ALL little things , most of all to the people that surrounds her, In silence GOD's speaksonly ABOUT HIMSELF WHO IS LOVE.......
superb
Thanks 🤗

I disagree that she would have wanted to be a doctor. I always quote what Mary Daheim said about the new-versus- the old view of women "We ARE BETTER! (than men).
In an Irish 'for-instance' hospitals used to be named after saints but are now named after universities.
It's something to do with snobbery of a university degree.
And that people who don't have one (but they do have nurse training) that they will wish 'to-be-a-part-of-it'
Hospitals ARE better than universities: you shouldn't compare you to a university.
