I can clunk my way through the Em pentatonic scale but making musically pleasing phrases always has eluded me. Thus, a very helpful lesson - in fact, just what the doctor ordered!
Thanks to your excellent ‘promotion’ I’m collecting my flame maple Emily Rose next week. Now I need to keep watching you to learn how to play it. I know you’re not on a commission from Auden but you should be!
Thanks Ben, I drew a lotta charts using coloured highlighters to show Major and minor pentatonic notes & positions. Then tried to use that "knowledge". Bit surprised to find it didn't click - at all. Four notes - now this is a really helful place to start.
Please keep posting lessons! I love them! Thanks
This is great for me ,a late age beginner with a love of the blues, keeping it simple is the best way to learn.
Cool. More lessons like this would be appreciated. Thanks.

Awesome content, brother! Am I gonna finally learn the blues!?
How would you do that if there's also singing? Would you do a call and response thing, maybe, or sing and play the same phrase?
