One hour sit-down with Stephen Mayfield. The bottom line is my very own BlewMe™ process can't be beat. I am growing a high lipid Algae with my property "Liner Paul Magnatizum" (sp correctly) with: .02 amps in the dark faster than you can imagine from salt water 1.97 Ph shelf stable. My two goals are home reactors to produce oil and a version of butanol and hydrogen deuteride fuelcells for motive. All proofs are on my channel and I have reached out to UCSD and Mayfield and got "shrugged" OK.

At the risk of sounding political, I will say this, The production will be spread out among many people and will not be exclusive to a small hand of people. These will be jobs of the future. The 99% will have a secure future once this procuction becomes large scale because it will produce a lot of jobs and the wealth is divided among the various companies making the fuel. As for Newt Gingrich when oil runs out, he can trade in his car for one that Fred Flintstone uses. He will not use algae.

What's happening right now with algae production is that it's in its infancy stage. All the elements to produce algae fuel are present with the problem of finding a way to efficiently and economically extract the oil from the water. Check out Origin Oil it has come out with an appliance that can efficiently extract the oil without using much energy and chemicals. Again, it's new and still in experiment but it looks very promising. I wish I had money to invest in this !

I invested a lot of money into Solazyme. So far it's been a loss, but things have started bouncing back. Their marketing, partnerships, scaling, and diverse tailored oil production approach is smart. It's not only fuel, but cooking, skin care, soaps, detergents, paint, and dielectric fluids that Solazyme can produce on demand.

    Very educative interview! Thanks!
I keep watching for further technology improvement in this area.
So keep "defactoring" and let me know !
This process sounds the most "clean" alternative to other
    "bio" technologies conflicting with agriculture.

Great video. Everyone should watch this. I'm no 'greenie' and I found this incredibly uplifting. It paints a terrific economic and ecological future. Highly recommended.

I have an idea for Colombia we have the right conditions, wastewater form municipalities, sun, hot and land that is not very expensive.

How are you feeding the algae? How are you processing the oils? And how much does it cost to reach scale for use?

Uses CO2 to grow and creates less CO2 when burned? Sounds like a good idea. :)
