Thanks Daniel, great tutorial from a great pro photographer!
Short, sweet, to the point. Thanks for all you do, Daniel!
Thank you for this video Daniel Norton, for sure this type of Lighting is a staple wether one uses a bare bulb, umbrella or soft box!
Great idea, Daniel, these short videos. I hope it generates great traffic and views for you. It's worth it.
And here I thought it was going to be Rembrandt lighting. This feels so much nicer. I'm really digging these lighting videos Dan. I can't wait to see if you go into some less traditional types of single light lighting.
Yes, I agree 100%
I only have a couple classic 45's, most of my classics are 33 1/3
Daniel, you make it easy for us! Love the shadow control. Thank you.
Thank You!
Thank You Sir, I like this of Lighting, and the results. I think it suits the type of Photos I will be taking of My Family, and Friends in My small Home Studio most of the time. Naturally as I learn I will try other setups You so generously teach. Thank You for your teachings in a manner easy to comprehend.
Great vid!
I like your vids very much. 🇩🇪
Thanks Dan - Excellent overview! Do you have any preference for a white or silver fill card - or is just a matter of taste? Thanks again and great to see you at Imaging 2024!
👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
What was the wattage of the light used & what was the colour temperature of the light ?
Use it all the time to create more dramatic shots.
I like dramatic and moodie, so I like 45
Simple is best. One light, one reflector is a great starting point or the final one. A separation light added as needed.
Now.... Daniel... I don't want to be a pain, but I've noticed that you often crop the top of heads/hair when you do those "tutorials" type of videos. Is it because it's your style, a preferred look that you have? Is it your style of composing a close-up or portrait? Just wondering... For more than 32 years now, because I was originally taught to not do "haircuts" when composing MCUs, I've avoided (like the plague...) to compose or frame my subjects, especially women models, NEVER cutting the top of the head/hair... sorry Daniel... I just had to ask...
I don’t follow the rules 😊 this is an incredibly common style in my world (fashion/music) and in filmmaking
