Spray bottles is a typical thing people used to do that just damages your relationship with your cat, and you might harm your cats mental health (creating stress or developping a fear which turn into aggression). I didn't know there was still people with only 1 braincell recommending that. I do NOT recommend water spraying your cat. This cat is so loved, is just very spunky and playful and his mom loves it, he seems very well taken care of, and having had cats going on 4 decades and having 3 now (2 are 14 and one is 7), I can say I know cats very well. This cat is NOT unhappy, bored, aggressive, tense, mean, annoyed.....like some seem to think. I'd LOVE a cat with his cute personality. 🐈😍

I have actually heard plenty of stories of the opposite, little fur angels turning into pissy demons upon having their nuts taken. I can't imagine why... It's why our boy Figueroa may never get "fixed". Because he's a good boy, doesn't spray all over the house, is a great listener, very patient with my smothering middle school daughter, and plays hide & seek with the dog. She named him "Boo Boo", but he never responded to that. So she calls him "Boobies" instead because one time it just slipped out like that and he actually responded to it. Most critters don't really care if their name is a human "boy" or "girl" name. I have a male cat named "Tabitha", because it means 'gazelle' and he's very tall-legged and sleek like a gazelle. He was a feral cat who just wandered into our yard one day, moving through the grasses when I first saw him. He always gets really happy and extra purr-y when I use his fullname even though I usually just call him "Tabby" for short; if I want him to approach me right away when I call him, instead of just leisurely making his way over to me more on his own time, I have to use his full-name. I tried several different names, even boys names, and Tabitha was the only one he actually turned his ears and face toward.

My first cat was like this when he was a kitten. When he was about 10 months old we got another cat, who taught him many things, including how to play. They rough eachother up rather than take it out on me.

He acts like my girl, one moment she wants to play ping pong with my eyes, the next she gets on my stomach and falls asleep.🤷🏻♀️ You are very patient and love him so much! 🐱❤ When my girl starts to attack I say, "Lets go get the mouse (her squeaky toy mouse) or go get the spider!" That is my cue for behavior redirection. I had forgotten how intelligent cats are (they are just independent, stubborn and choose not to listen. Only when it is convenient for them.) That is one hell of a curious and playful cat! The bottle doesn't work because he thinks that's her way of playing, just as his is pat-a-cake. I'm guessing she doesn't initiate playtimes OR has toys to play with him. Sure, she returns the attention when he demands it but I think she was expecting him to grow into a present but not felt cat. So, I would suggest either to actually start playing with him using toys to redirect his hunting instinct towards the toys or find another cat that is just as playful and will play at his level.

I use a spray bottle with my cats, but I hardly ever have to use it because I'm actually consistent with my training. This woman is doing it all wrong. She's not consistent and not teaching her cat anything. He misbehaves and she laughs. So squirting him randomly with water doesn't mean anything to him, thus it's not a deterrent.

This is a result of the woman using her hand to play fight with Boobie when he was a kitten. Boobie learned that human hands are a toy. This is typical singleton cat problem. They are bored, they learned to fight with human's as entertainment and here you have it. Tabbies tend to be high energy. This is human fault, not Boobie's, for adopting and having a lonely kitten, a singleton. Rescues try to tell people to not have lonely kittens or cats, but people don't want to listen and think animals are just for show and don't have emotional needs. People really do suck.
And the spray bottle is not good. But he does love you. He has a lot of energy. Play with him more. More toys. More toys he can chase. Maybe a cat tower with hanging toys... maybe a cat brother or sister even. 😳
Get him his own mirror. Problem solved. And, instead of laughing at his "antics," correct him, put him out of the room while you are doing your makeup. She named him "Boo Boo", but he never responded to that. So she calls him "Boobies" instead because one time it just slipped out like that and he actually responded to it.
Most critters don't really care if their name is a human "boy" or "girl" name.
I have a male cat named "Tabitha", because it means 'gazelle' and he's very tall-legged and sleek like a gazelle. He was a feral cat who just wandered into our yard one day, moving through the grasses when I first saw him. He always gets really happy and extra purr-y when I use his fullname even though I usually just call him "Tabby" for short; if I want him to approach me right away when I call him, instead of just leisurely making his way over to me more on his own time, I have to use his full-name. I tried several different names, even boys names, and Tabitha was the only one he actually turned his ears and face toward.

My first cat was like this when he was a kitten. When he was about 10 months old we got another cat, who taught him many things, including how to play. They rough eachother up rather than take it out on me.

He acts like my girl, one moment she wants to play ping pong with my eyes, the next she gets on my stomach and falls asleep.🤷🏻♀️ You are very patient and love him so much! 🐱❤ When my girl starts to attack I say, "Lets go get the mouse (her squeaky toy mouse) or go get the spider!" That is my cue for behavior redirection. I had forgotten how intelligent cats are (they are just independent, stubborn and choose not to listen. Only when it is convenient for them.) The last time I had a cat was 30 years ago! 😮 You both take care! 🙂❤

The catlady of my parents is the same. She wants to fight playing all the time. Since a baby she had this behavior. And very often she sleeps on us, but didn't like to cuddle.

That is one hell of a curious and playful cat! The bottle doesn't work because he thinks that's her way of playing, just as his is pat-a-cake. I'm guessing she doesn't initiate playtimes OR has toys to play with him. Sure, she returns the attention when he demands it but I think she was expecting him to grow into a present but not felt cat. So, I would suggest either to actually start playing with him using toys to redirect his hunting instinct towards the toys or find another cat that is just as playful and will play at his level.
Please play with him more or get him a friend.

It's wonderful that you love him! However, this kitty is highly misunderstood. He is a high-energy cat who needs to play. He needs more enrichment, toys, and play time. He is not angry. He is playing. And, I know spraying with water seems harmless, but it is actually quite cruel and a form of abuse. Please don't spray your cat with a water bottle. I know you mean well. I use a spray bottle with my cats, but I hardly ever have to use it because I'm actually consistent with my training.
This woman is doing it all wrong. She's not consistent and not teaching her cat anything. He misbehaves and she laughs. So squirting him randomly with water doesn't mean anything to him, thus it's not a deterrent.

This is a result of the woman using her hand to play fight with Boobie when he was a kitten. Boobie learned that human hands are a toy. This is typical singleton cat problem. They are bored, they learned to fight with human's as entertainment and here you have it. Tabbies tend to be high energy. This is human fault, not Boobie's, for adopting and having a lonely kitten, a singleton. Rescues try to tell people to not have lonely kittens or cats, but people don't want to listen and think animals are just for show and don't have emotional needs. People really do suck.
And the spray bottle is not good. But he does love you. He has a lot of energy. Play with him more. More toys. More toys he can chase. Maybe a cat tower with hanging toys... maybe a cat brother or sister even. 😳
