I was DYING at the part when they talked about heading up bed and Ryland picking fights 🤣😂. You can just sense the genuine love and roasting amongst the group that makes these podcasts amazing every time.
When I was watching the Jeffrey videos it confused me on what he meant that no one watches UA-cam because, like your friend, I only watch UA-cam, listen to UA-cam podcasts, and then I watch friends 😂. But it’s interesting because maybe the beauty crowd is younger and that’s why views are lower for that content for some people. With people like Shane Ryland I will always be a huge fan of long form content because that is timeless and relatable and keeps me coming back to UA-cam every day. I hope you guys will always be creating!
I think the rage might come from his OCD. When OCD people break their routine or don’t get their alone time or when routines are not EXACTLY how they envision.
ShuggarBhabe, that makes total since. My husband gets very upset when his plans do not go exactly as he has planned. If my son or I get sick or hurt in some way his first reaction is to get mad. After being with him for 37 years and married for almost 33 years I understand. There are other things that set me off. It all comes out in the wash in the end. I love him just the way he is and can not imagine life without him. Michael is the best husband and dad.
As a mom of 3 I understand Ryland. He should not even have to ask for help. I hope it doesn’t get worse when the baby arrives. Once you have kids you never have time for your self sometimes you skip meals and you can kiss your sleep goodbye.
Yep ryland that's an additional mental load of managing everything and having to ask for help all the time .. I think the only way around it is to really agree on who does what so you don't have to be asking
Ryland, I think you would do well with a therapist that incorporates holistic health. Since you love meditation and yoga ( which in and of themselves have great mental health benefits). A therapist that believes and uses the positive things you already love is fantastic

I gave birth Sep 21 and felt like I lost control immediately. No sleep. No time for meals/workouts etc. sit down with Shane and seriously divide the chores and tasks. It’s so much for one person. Okay I relate to Ryland and Lizze a lot when it comes to being grumpy and not even knowing why lol. I feel less alone. And I loved how Shane called Ryland out saying that even when he helped Ryland was still grumpy lol it's so true. My therapist told me that anger is really just sadness. I feel like there are a lot of things to be sad about in the world, and we absorb it even subconsciously.
Ryland, I'm the same way. I need time for me, I'm a selfish being in that sense. I have 5 kids age 13 through 4 months, the mornings are brutal! I need a good 30 minutes to myself every single day or my fuse reaches an explosive state. No shame in taking care of your own needs invetween everyone else's.

LMAO Shane, when you revealed Ryland’s rage kink I just couldn’t! 🤣😭 Btw Even tho Ryland grew up in a “perfect” family environment and didn’t have anything what we’d typically think is traumatic happen to him, maybe his current self is going through a tough time and needs to talk to a therapist regularly to solve it more efficiently. Anyways, I think Ryland’s “personality” change might have something to do with his feminine exploration, his relationship with Shane, and trying to balance heavy responsibilities while still living his best life. Here are some observations about Ryland that he can talk about with his therapist: For the feminine exploration, he mentioned before that he was bothered about what people thought about his voice and “changing it”, and more recently he’s been wearing women’s clothes, breasts, long wigs, etc. and is in the process of adopting a baby. It feels like he really wants to portray himself as a woman and that brings out a bitchy side of him lol He’s also had insecurities of Shane being bi and possibly leaving him for a woman. I wonder if that’s something he can go further into with the therapist? His relationship with Shane is another important factor Ryland can discuss, since he talked about working hard on himself for Shane. I think that’s great coming from a partner, but are there things Ryland is not happy about or feeling uncomfortable with that he’s not voicing out or letting go? Currently, Ryland seems to be overwhelmed with new responsibilities and not being able to have the time he wants for himself. That’s something I can relate to because I also want things within my control, and I can get frustrated or angry when things don’t go as planned. Maybe Ryland’s expectations for a “perfect” lifestyle are set because of how he was raised in a loving and prosperous environment. There’s nothing wrong with wanting that for himself, but reaching that goal with hiccups along the way can trigger anger and frustration. Sometimes we don’t realize something is bothering us until we get a little deeper, so going to a therapy session prepared can help the therapist guide the conversation. And I totally agree with Chris! Finding a therapist that clicks with you makes a HUGE difference 💜

I love Shane, and I normally do not leave a negative comment, but this episode highlighted something I have been noticing over the past little bit. Shane has a hard time not defliecting his own shortcomings within the relationship. Every time that Ryland mentioned something, Shane turned it around to say it was Rylands fault for one reason or another. Do not get me wrong, I know these are just snippets of your life that hardly even scratches the surface of who you guys are, but this is how I felt about this episode.

They both said that they have equal duties. In a healthy relationship most of the time having set duties is easier but if someone needs help they help or or if they’re a change in the normal routine things should be discussed and communicated. I think they are a great couple and I think maybe couples therapy might be better for ryland than regular therapy. So they can discuss with an unbiased professional. I love the pod and I hope Shane comes on more often. 🤎🤎🤎🤎

Ditto! Back when my boyfriend (now husband) used to stay up all night on the computer, I'd wake up at like 2.30am because I could sense that he wasn't in bed with me. When I'm alone in a hotel room or something I sleep like a baby, but when I'm at home I literally cannot sleep for an extended period without him.
I relate a lot to the rage thing that Shane talked about, I have been taking therapy and found out it is OCD!. When I feel that I do not have control (like a puppy acting up) I react as if the world is ending and thanks to therapy and recognizing my OCD I´ve been able to tell my brain that everything is ok, we are ok and there is no need to scream or get anxious. I hope you find a good therapist Ryland :) it is life-changing. 💟💟💟

Hey ! 17 years old here, I do not like tiktok it fucks with my mental health because it’s so shallow and all about appearance. I deleted it never went back. I only watch UA-cam and I mainly watch rylands vlogs, the sip, Shane’s videos, Shane’s podcast , and rylands main channel videos I just constantly rewatch old videos, like everyday. I get so happy when new videos come out. You guys are such a big part of my life and help me feel not alone so thank you for everything :) ❤
Sounds like a lot of the work and chores fall on Ryland, and Shane only "helps" him wash the dishes or "helps" him feed the dogs. There should be better communication about those things and come up with better split responsibilities.
I think Rylands aggression is from all of "Shane's animals". Not that they have them , I KNOW THEY ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM. I think he resents Shane because he's not lending a hand in the care of the animals. And they are HARD work! Chip in Shane!!! Happy Holidays !!

Not trying to diagnose or anything but I have autism & definitely relate to ryland’s anger outbursts & need for routine etc. it’s very common for people with autism to find it very very difficult to take criticism aswell even if it’s constructive we tend to take it very personal. We also like to have everything planned out & have it go to plan & know exactly what time things are happening at & can be very perfectionist & controlling about things so that we can prepare ourselves, otherwise we get extremely overwhelmed by even small things & have an anger outburst if plans change. It’s also common for people with ocd to also have autism along with it because they’re comorbidities & the symptoms overlap. I’d definitely look into autism & see if you relate to any of the traits! 💗

Why is it Shane “helping” with the dishes or the dogs but it’s rylands default duty? It should be equal. It should be Shane’s duty and rylands duty. They could split it since they both own the dogs.

That’s me too and I’m 26. Same with my SO. He watches what he likes and I watch what I like too. We just bought a house too so I cancelled my other subscriptions just to save extra money because Netflix and Hulu are just not worth it sometimes…

Okay I relate to Ryland and Lizze a lot when it comes to being grumpy and not even knowing why lol. I feel less alone. And I loved how Shane called Ryland out saying that even when he helped Ryland was still grumpy lol it's so true. My therapist told me that anger is really just sadness. I feel like there are a lot of things to be sad about in the world, and we absorb it even subconsciously.

Ryland, I'm the same way. I need time for me, I'm a selfish being in that sense. I have 5 kids age 13 through 4 months, the mornings are brutal! I need a good 30 minutes to myself every single day or my fuse reaches an explosive state. No shame in taking care of your own needs invetween everyone else's.
Kasey,you are not selfish!I'm a stay at home mom of 4 homeschooled kids. Its extremely important to have some me time..either morning before the kids wake or night time after they go to sleep. We cant raise these kids without taking care of our needs as well

Btw Even tho Ryland grew up in a “perfect” family environment and didn’t have anything what we’d typically think is traumatic happen to him, maybe his current self is going through a tough time and needs to talk to a therapist regularly to solve it more efficiently. Anyways, I think Ryland’s “personality” change might have something to do with his feminine exploration, his relationship with Shane, and trying to balance heavy responsibilities while still living his best life. Here are some observations about Ryland that he can talk about with his therapist:
For the feminine exploration, he mentioned before that he was bothered about what people thought about his voice and “changing it”, and more recently he’s been wearing women’s clothes, breasts, long wigs, etc. and is in the process of adopting a baby. It feels like he really wants to portray himself as a woman and that brings out a bitchy side of him lol He’s also had insecurities of Shane being bi and possibly leaving him for a woman. I wonder if that’s something he can go further into with the therapist?
His relationship with Shane is another important factor Ryland can discuss, since he talked about working hard on himself for Shane. I think that’s great coming from a partner, but are there things Ryland is not happy about or feeling uncomfortable with that he’s not voicing out or letting go?
Currently, Ryland seems to be overwhelmed with new responsibilities and not being able to have the time he wants for himself. That’s something I can relate to because I also want things within my control, and I can get frustrated or angry when things don’t go as planned. Maybe Ryland’s expectations for a “perfect” lifestyle are set because of how he was raised in a loving and prosperous environment. There’s nothing wrong with wanting that for himself, but reaching that goal with hiccups along the way can trigger anger and frustration.
Sometimes we don’t realize something is bothering us until we get a little deeper, so going to a therapy session prepared can help the therapist guide the conversation. And I totally agree with Chris! Finding a therapist that clicks with you makes a HUGE difference 💜
I do a lot of the things Ryland got roasted for. When shane said Ryland will say something to the dogs like is daddy gonna do the dishes I died bc I totally do that. Lmao. It's OK Ryland, we are all nuts in some respects. 🙃
Ryland is so me when it comes to his stress outburst lol I do the same! I’ll run around the house doing everything talking shit about how no one does anything to help me but really don’t want anyone to help me cuz they won’t do it “right” and so I just deal with stress rage just building inside of me instead lol

I love Shane, and I normally do not leave a negative comment, but this episode highlighted something I have been noticing over the past little bit. Shane has a hard time not defliecting his own shortcomings within the relationship. Every time that Ryland mentioned something, Shane turned it around to say it was Rylands fault for one reason or another. Do not get me wrong, I know these are just snippets of your life that hardly even scratches the surface of who you guys are, but this is how I felt about this episode.

In a healthy relationship most of the time having set duties is easier but if someone needs help they help or or if they’re a change in the normal routine things should be discussed and communicated.
I think they are a great couple and I think maybe couples therapy might be better for ryland than regular therapy. So they can discuss with an unbiased professional.

Ditto! Back when my boyfriend (now husband) used to stay up all night on the computer, I'd wake up at like 2.30am because I could sense that he wasn't in bed with me. When I'm alone in a hotel room or something I sleep like a baby, but when I'm at home I literally cannot sleep for an extended period without him.
I relate a lot to the rage thing that Shane talked about, I have been taking therapy and found out it is OCD!. When I feel that I do not have control (like a puppy acting up) I react as if the world is ending and thanks to therapy and recognizing my OCD I´ve been able to tell my brain that everything is ok, we are ok and there is no need to scream or get anxious. I hope you find a good therapist Ryland :) it is life-changing. 💟💟💟

Hey ! 17 years old here, I do not like tiktok it fucks with my mental health because it’s so shallow and all about appearance. I deleted it never went back. I only watch UA-cam and I mainly watch rylands vlogs, the sip, Shane’s videos, Shane’s podcast , and rylands main channel videos I just constantly rewatch old videos, like everyday. I get so happy when new videos come out. You guys are such a big part of my life and help me feel not alone so thank you for everything :) ❤

Sounds like a lot of the work and chores fall on Ryland, and Shane only "helps" him wash the dishes or "helps" him feed the dogs. There should be better communication about those things and come up with better split responsibilities.

Not trying to diagnose or anything but I have autism & definitely relate to ryland’s anger outbursts & need for routine etc. it’s very common for people with autism to find it very very difficult to take criticism aswell even if it’s constructive we tend to take it very personal. We also like to have everything planned out & have it go to plan & know exactly what time things are happening at & can be very perfectionist & controlling about things so that we can prepare ourselves, otherwise we get extremely overwhelmed by even small things & have an anger outburst if plans change. It’s also common for people with ocd to also have autism along with it because they’re comorbidities & the symptoms overlap. I’d definitely look into autism & see if you relate to any of the traits! 💗

I feel like everyone's go to is autism these days. I have anger outburst and it's from anxiety, there is a whole list of reasons why someone can have an anger outburst.

Why is it Shane “helping” with the dishes or the dogs but it’s rylands default duty? It should be equal. It should be Shane’s duty and rylands duty. They could split it since they both own the dogs.
I’m guessing because it’s something they decided between themselves; which is none of your business? Because as they’ve explained a thousand times, Shane’s mental health is like 100x worse than whatever ryland has going on, so yeah while Ryland does his routine and enjoys having a routine throughout the day (as stated by ryland); Shane is trying to literally just get through the day, with his extreme OCD and clinical depression. You have no idea what Shane does do/help with throughout the day 🤷♀️ and it’s none of your business, as I have to say again.
I do the dishes between me and my boyfriend because we talked about it and decided on that. It is my default duty and I really don’t mind. I’m sure it’s the same for them. Smh. It’s not unfair if they don’t believe it’s unfair, every couple is different. 🙄
