Went to Daytona Beach for spring break with some of my college loan. I was a jerk. In the 80s. Had to pay it back, which was the responsibility of the borrower.

My single mom is disabled... i couldn't get a student loan, becase until 26, your income is based on your parents. .. mind you, i had already been on my own & working full-time since 16. No loan for kids of poverty parents.
2001, got accepted into the SF School of Digital Film Making... couldn't get a $20,000 loan to get in.

I got denied loans because of the income of my mother, who only got disability.

Student debt is not taxpayers expense. Colleges should take up this cup by dropping the interest rate.
This is about buying votes but it is also protecting the university system. If the feds were really cared about the cost of college they would go after the universities who are constantly raising tuition to pad their own salaries.
And the expenses of millions and millions of foreign students! Imagine: they need to be multimillionaires to afford paying the tuition and expenses of living in the US or they are compromised back home, or both. Because who pays a fortune for you to come to study without being compensated for that expense in some way?
