Nice video! I think the reason you were able to acquire more juice with less items on the last video is because all of those ingredients you chose were really high in water content.
Pineapple: 86% water
Purple Cabbage: 93%
Celery: 95%
That’s a lot of water combined.
Im glad you did this video with Aldis. Not a lot of organic options BUT you can find some and still be able to juice. I thought you would get a lot more yield than you did honestly but still not bad for $10 worth of produce.
Hmm 🤔 that makes sense! That could be a cool idea to have in mind types of produce high in water content for when I try it at the framers market. Thank you!! And yeah I did too! 😭 but I learned something new in the process so I’m happy 😊 and you’re right, it’s still not bad for $10.
@@yeshalesteryep! You’re welcome!
I have come to realize that adding water when I juice is mandatory and keeps you hydrated to
I love this comment! I was considering adding water but was hesitant. It worked well for apple juice. May try it for other mixtures. Thank you for sharing!! 💚
U can always substitute the water with organic coconut water, which will add more benefits than water
That’s what I do
@ I just bought a bunch of coconut water too! Love this idea!
As long as you use a high water fruit or vegetable, you don't really need to. 7 apples, a cuke, 2 lemons, ginger, and spinach yields about 54 oz. If I juice something hard, like carrots, I mix it with something apple, pineapple, cucumber, etc.
I HAVE to add water or otherwise it’s too concentrated for me
The moment you said Aldi, I said 4. Lol! This was my fav store during the pandemic because I could stretch $50 for groceries. Also their flavored Seltzer is the truth. Love to mix the mango with my juices, it makes for a delicious fizzy “tropical” taste.
😂 you’re good! I’m glad I gave them a try. Now I know my money could stretch here too. & oooh! That sounds soo refreshing! I’ll have to try that one day! Thank you for sharing and for watching! 💚
Hit the mangoes wit a sharp ass vegetable peeler before cuttin to waste less
I would need water
Yo facts. I started going to aldis in late 2020. Boooooi. That store knew how to stretch a dollar
For more yield cucumbers cantaloupe honey dew are some good ones a lot of water content in them…skin is glowing keep up the self love
Thank you! ☺️ and okay! I’ll try those in the upcoming videos! 🙏🏽
Yessir! Until watermelons are back in season, my go to juice combo is cucumber, apple, lemon, and ginger.
This is a great video. It kind of makes me what to do a challenge myself. I usually get my produce from warehouse stores like Sam's Club and Costco so it's good to see what you can do on a smaller scale. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts! 💚 I didn’t even know they sold produce at Costco & Sam’s Club 😅 now I wonder is it possible to get produce in bulk for $10 there 🤔 lol may have to check it out. Thank you for the inspiration!
@@yeshalester Yes, check them out. I would love to see that challenge. Costco usually has more organic options.
Nice experiment! Great option for those who want to stick to a budget. I might try this on my channel.
@@CarronC thank you!! ☺️ Would love to see it! Just subscribed 💚
Any thoughts on using whats left? I dehydrate in the oven or the dehydrator and use for seasoning. Fruits I throw on a fruit salad along with lime, tajin, and salsa.
After enjoying the pulp I pulled from the mesh strainer, I knew I wanted to use the pulp in a salad for this blend and if there still a lot left over, I’ll cook then blend in a soup. I tried dehydrating but found I didn’t use the seasoning much as it didn’t add much flavor. So that’s usually my last resort.
I add the pulp in the Vitamix or similar blender as an ingredient for smoothies. I still get the benefits of the nutrients from the fiber and cellulose
You used pineapple in the kroger juicing. Pineapple produces a lot of juice. The mango doesn't produce much juice. It depends on what veggies and fruit you are juicing as to how much juice will be produced. Great videos.
Thank you!! And yes! I was surprised to see how much juice the pineapple produced. Mango was a terrible choice 😆 but I am happy to be learning in the progress. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts! 💚
@@yeshalester you are welcome.
Thats crazy the juice stores charge 10.00 for 1 12 oz juice 😳 this puts it in perspective.
Yeah but the cost of the juicer isn't included in her $10 shop.
@ I already have the juicer
Right!? And it doesn’t include preservatives!
This was fun to watch. Now I want to go try it and I think I will this Saturday. 🙂 I'm now binge watching
I’m so glad you’re enjoying the series! 💚☺️ Excited for you to give it a try!
Farmers market 🤔 next ?
Definitely! 😂 Need some fresh local produce.
You getting 1 fruit
This was so good. Thanks for the video. I do believe a great comparison would be to buy the same thing from both stores because cost and yield can truly be seen.
Thank you!! ☺️ And yess! Will be adding comparisons soon! 🙏🏽
It is a good amount of juice however, try regular produce instead of organic, what the results would be? That would be interesting. Worth a shot. Enjoyed this video.
Thank you for watching! 💚 I do think I would get much more with regular produce. Will have to give that a try! Thank you!
That’s a beautiful juice. Cucumbers will bring you probably the highest yield, if you add in the mix.
Thank you! You have a good point! Will be aiming to use cucumber somewhere in this series if the price is right.
@ great. Avg I’ve seen non organic 69-89, organic avg 89-1.49. Salute 👑
Yes I came to say cucumbers as well ❤
I love to add cucumber to my juices. Helps to balance the sugars from the fruit.
I’m glad I found your channel! I just started juicing and I need this information thank you keep up the good work!!
Yay! Excited for your juicing journey!! & thank you so much! ☺️💚 Will do!
Thank you for this idea for a juice budget. This is a good way for me to get started with juicing. You may actually have more than 74 ounces of juice if you use the measurement guides of the canning jars versus considering the rim of the jar as 16 ounces.
Absolutely!! Thank you for watching! 💚& The rim of the jars is 16oz, it goes in increments of 4oz and the last one on the jar is 12oz before the rim making it 16oz.
Nice video. It's still not bad for $10. If I had a juicer I would try it.
Thank you! ☺️💚
Nice video- I would like to see more videos like this. Maybe if you buy the same fruits and vegetables at the different stores, the results will be more accurate- although each store have different prices.
Thank you for your comment! I’m thinking of making a spin off of this challenge doing just that to see which store will give you the most juice from the same amount of produce (with the different prices accounted for).
@@yeshalester That sounds like a great idea!
What a novel idea! Great video sis! Happy holidays! XO
Thank you!! ☺️💚 Happy holidays!
Definitely following! My fellow Midwest Michigander!
Thank you for watching and subscribing! 💚 & nice!! Michiganders in the house! 😄
Granny apples, cucumbers, and ginger root. ❤
This sounds delicious! Hope to find some reasonable priced cucumbers to give this a try!
I’m curious about the cost difference. Can you price and possibly juice the same items you juiced from Kroger but purchase them from Aldi? I wonder if the difference would be significant and could you possibly yield more juice with the same ingredients.
That’s a good idea! Thank you so much for your comment! 💚 I may make videos towards the end of the series comparing 3 grocery stores at a time with the same produce even with the slightly different prices to see which price/juice amount is best per grocery store.
In Michigan we have so many great options! Nino Salvaggio, Joe Randazzo, and Eastern Market, so much great produce!
I haven’t heard of Nino Salvaggio! I’ll have to check them out. Haven’t been to the Eastern Market in a minute too. Have to check them out.
New Subbie!!! Thank you Queen for Sharing!!!!💖
Yay!!! Thank you for watching and subscribing! 🥰💚
If you want consistency use the same fruits everytime. Follow same recipe for every store Carrot, apple ginger drink or Celery green drink
Thank you! I’m thinking of doing a spin off with this idea for another series. For this one, my main goal was to get as much juice as possible (and especially during the winter) with just $10. But would love to experiment with same recipe but different stores.
Hey girl hey just found your channel great video what kind of Juicer are you using😊
Hey girl! In this video I am using the Hurom H320 juicer. It’s one of my favorites! ☺️ I have a few videos using all kinds of juicers on my channel if you also want to see the others in action. 💚
When you use both ACV and BS one cancels out the other. So it’s best to use one or the other.
😮 Very nice to know! Thank you!
That’s still a great amount of juice❤
It is! Makes me feel better about doing a juice cleanse for the winter. ☺️💚

Wow I Love This 💖 What Camera Did You Use?
Thank you!! ☺️💚 I used the DJI Pocket 3 camera. Best investment ever.
As you grow with juicing, you may want to consider fruit and vegetable salvagers and wholesalers. If you have space, this can be a greatbway to stock up produce and make your daily pint!❤
I would love this! I know a salvager in Detroit that would be great to do this with. Haven’t looked into wholesalers yet. Thank you for this helpful comment! I have the space so I’ll be doing some research and see what I can do.💚🌱🫶🏽
@yeshalester where I am in PDX, I go to a salvage store that sells whole pineapple 2/$1, 5 pounds of apples for $1.50 and celery 2/$1. Greens for salads/smoothies $1/1 lbs package. And other veggies, like carrots for very good prices for salads and juicing!
Not sure if you have Lidl but they have great prices. Kinda remind me of Aldi with a few random items in bulk.
I haven’t seen one around in my area. Nice that they have some bulk items!

@@hermanharper4594 😮 you are a genius!
This is a good video concept lol. Hopefully you can get it to a reasonable amount. Also if it’s cheap try watermelon. You’d probably get a lot of Juice out of that.
Thank you! ☺️💚 and yes!! I haven’t found any watermelon around but once it’s back in season, I already know that will be the winner. 🏆
I'd believe you had more than 4 16-oz jars. Four jars were filled to the rim. 16 ounces in jars are at the 16 oz mark. Overall. Really nice video and much appreciated.
My jars are 16oz but stops at the 12 oz mark leaving the rim to be about the 16oz. Wish it was designed with the 16oz mark lol thank you for watching! 💚
Hey I'm an Aldis girl and yeah the price is not bad or quality for organics. Try juicing sweet potato.. with your 🍎 🍏 and celery❤good job😊
Yeah I was impressed by ALDIs! Thank you! Fun fact… I was going between carrot and sweet potatoes and think the sweet potatoes would’ve made more juice for sure looking back 😂 I’ll have to give it a try next time. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts! 💚
Dark re 10:32 d sweet potato better for you. Didn't kmow it existed until lately.
This is so off topic but I wear glasses and have locs and wearing hats are so uncomfortable like head caps like the one you’re wearing! Is yours comfortable
This hat has a silk lining so it doesn’t frizz up my hair, which I like. To me, it’s only uncomfortable when I wear it with a coat on too. Now it feels like I’m doing too much 😂 the coat pushes up the hair and the cap pushes it down. It’s uncomfortable. But the hat alone is great!
The pink ladies apples taste good I like the baby carrots but you have to buy about 5 to 10’ of them they are good to add them to other produce
Hmm 🤔 nice to know! What produce do you recommend that goes best with the baby carrots from your opinion?
@ cucumbers, apples, celeries they pair well to me

I personally do prefer the farmers markets for quite a bit bit definitely can find deals in the regular stores
Yeah I like the locally grown foods at farmers markets too mainly when there’s good deals. 😅
The juicer looks like my Nama J2 juicer!
Yeah! This is the Hurom H320. Hurom is the manufacturer for the Nama J2 so their juicers look very similar.
Pulp is where the fiber is. I think it should count 😁
Then again, that was a lot of pulp.
😂 yeah.. just didn’t want to mislead people if the pulp was making it seem like we got much more. But I agree, a little extra fiber in the juice never hurts 😌 great in smoothies too.
No greens??
I figured I wouldn’t get much juice from the greens, so I didn’t try it for this challenge.
Please educate me on using Dr Bronner's in washing the produce. I've never done that before and now I'm curious to try it. Is it advisable?
Hey! Dr.Bronner you can use it to clean hair, body, kitchen appliances, and even fruit. It works well for removing wax from apples so that’s usually the only time I use it if the wax is thick. Otherwise, I stick with natural cleaners like baking soda or ACV just out of habit.
Amazing!!!
Thank you!! ☺️💚

You actually have closer to 85oz of juice. With the 12 oz jars I use, there's a one inch gap at the top when I reach capacity.😊
Interesting! My jars have the last line at 12oz and it looks like the rim makes 16oz. One day I’ll have to measure these 😆 thank you for sharing!
@yeshalester no problem. Maybe I got some extra pulp or something in mine.😅
Maybe im mistaken, but did you have to pay to use a shopping cart?
You put in a quarter to use the cart and then you get the quarter back once you return the cart.
Maybe try a little more green apples you might get more juice
I think you’re right. Will definitely try.
Its not the amount of produce but the kind of produce as each has a different water content.
You’re right! I’m learning that the more the challenge goes on.
What's the name of the juicer?
This is the Hurom H320! One of my faves. I have a discount code as well for 10% off this juicer ‘YESHA10’ if you were interested! Hope this helps!

Aldi's is so amazing
It is! I’ll have to go there more often!
How often do u drink your juices and how many do u drink in a day?
When I am not doing a juice cleanse, I drink 1-2 juices a day. Mainly because I prefer batch juicing and make 3 days worth of juice (up to 6 juices). During juice cleanses, I drink 4-6 juices a day.
@@yeshalesterthank u for the info. Do u also eat food or just the juice during juice cleanse?
@ just the juice and at the most, some herbal teas like burdock root & dandelion but without any sweeteners including honey.
@@yeshalesterwhere do you get your burdock root tea from?
@ I get it from Mountain Rose Herbs: mountainroseherbs.com/

Hey! The juicer used in this video is the Hurom H320 juicer. You can use code ‘YESHA10’ for 10% off if that’s something you’re interested in. If that’s too expensive I recommend the Canoly brand Models JE-24 & JE-73 (canoly.com/products/je-73-slow-juicer?ref=YESHA). They usually have sales going on, but if not, you can use code ‘YESHA’ for 15% off of any of there models.

I have wanted to juice for the longest but afraid because I felt like it would cost so much.
Yeah, with this challenge, I learned it’s definitely possible to juice without spending too much. I learned I have to just be smarter especially during seasons like the winter when prices are higher and produce is limited. But it’s possible 💚
I say you got 5 jars cause you filled it all the way to the brim.
16 oz isn't all the way to the brim lol!
😅 true! Got a lot of backlash for that lol 5 jars it is!

I am not sure when I buy organic that it is that organic. As people call seedless 🍇 🍉, 🍊 organic, and I say how genetically impossible.
I am going to try and buy organic when it's available, but I am skeptical.
Nevertheless, if I don't, I have no problem using Apple Cider Vinegar or Baking Soda. To clean my vegetables.
Great video, I forgot about Aldi. Thanks $10 , and I got 3 days' worth of juice, providing you consume your juice within the 3 day recommended time frame
I agree with you! It’s actually been quite frustrating as my intentions are to get the best produce but I believe my best bet will always be buying from a local farmer. Looking forward to doing that next. And yes, 3 days worth of juice for $10. A great deal ☺️ thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts!

Just started experimenting with making juices. My first one with carrots and apples turned out pretty well. My second one (beets + apples) would've been so fire had I not wasted the majority of the juice from the cup.😓😵💫 All in all, juicing fruits + veggies = very beneficial to our health.🌷🩷
😅 it happens to the best of us! lol but yes I agree! Juicing is very beneficial to our health. 💚🌱
It was definitely youre selection of produce...pineapples, cukes, even watermelon would have gotten you there. The produce you picked were not water rich enough.
Yeah you are right! Working on picking high water fruits for the next ones! 💚(Except watermelon, waiting for watermelon season to juice the real ones lol)
Organic is always going to be more expensive unfortunately
Yeah that’s true. That’s why the clean 15 and dirty dozen lists comes in handy.
Carrots and mango wont give a lot of juice. Celery ,cucumbers, oranges and melon will.
Thank you! 🙏🏽 yeah saw that didn’t do too well 😅
Good idea to use Aldi but I don’t mess with their produce…it’s VERY suspect
Oooh 😮 what has been your experience?
What i have experienced with ALDI produce is that it must be consumed within 48 hours of purchase. Additionally I have watched a video from someone who worked at ALDI suggested that their produce is best (freshest) on WEDNESDAY. With that in mind I believe you can navigate any negative stigma concerning the produce at ALDI. Great content by the way.
@@yeshalester I cut an apple and I left it on the counter for several hours…it never turned brown. The other apples from that bag sat in the refrigerator for more than a month and they didn’t even wrinkle! I threw them out of course but I decided to not buy my produce there. My son had a bag of hot dog buns that he didn’t finish and they never molded after several weeks 🤷🏽♀️
They have some good things there, you just need to figure out what’s good…which is most of the things there
