- Disney has given an earnings call with CEO Bob Iger about it's Disney+ streaming TV service losing over 4 million paid subscribers. Despite having huge IP's such as She-Hulk, Star Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi & Willow Disney+ is not profitable. Bob Iger proposes cutting costs, increasing Disney+ subscription prices and lowering content output as a method to become profitable, but will it work? Was Peter Pan & Wendy the cause? Can new marketing save live action remake of The Little Mermaid? Is Disney+ worth watching?

Disney+ loses well over 4 MILLION subscribers in 1 quarter, after losing 2.4 million subscribers the quarter before! You'd assume this would teach the CEO that the quality isn't up to par and we have to immediately start hiring better people, nope. Instead it's a marketing problem, so if we lower how much we create we can spend more on marketing, fixing everything!
This is a complete U-Turn from Chapeks constant churn plan, but CEO Bob Iger also wants to increase the subscription cost of Disney+ while removing content from it ONTOP of lowering the content output speed. I don't see how this wont compound further subscription losses myself, but Disney are panicking in full cost cutting mode as they are losing 4 million dollars a day.
It seems like no logical thought has gone into this, or they just do not understand the problems they face despite being told it in detail, for years. She-hulk, Willow, Mandalorian, Obi-Wan Kenobi were all panned by fans. But despite this, it looks like nothing is about to change. What do you think about the losses? Are you surprised, do you think their plans will help? Let me know your thoughts down below and as always, thanks for watching :)

Disney losing millions restores my faith in humanity.
This is not a woke streaming disaster they just lost ipl (Indian premier league) rights to jio cinema 😂 and jio cinema is offering HBO max and paramount contents that is the reason they lost millions of subscribers

While Walt Disney was allegedly a racist at least he made films everyone enjoyed and that are still enjoyed to this day. If he were alive (or taken out of cryo) he'd be furious at the state of the company.
I think the "shark" got "jumped" just after Frozen... the ball of money at the heart of Disney had so much gravitational pull that they all started orbiting it.
Disney needs to decide once and for all if they exist to
A. Entertain Our Society
B. Terra Form And Indoctrinate Our Society
When it comes to the LGBT agenda and genital mutilation. Leave the kids alone. Entertain and motivate kids to reach for the stars.
When Disney bought Marvel and Lucasfilm a little over a decade ago, that was the beginning of the end of quality entertainment from all three companies
What gets me is when they bought Marvel they said "We have the princess line, and we want something to sell to the boys." now they want to make every Marvel character that matters Female, and get rid of male heroes if they can, or turn the male heroes into idiots that need to lift up the female heroes.
I will NEVER forgive Disney/Kennedy for cancelling 1313.
I LOVED Bounty Hunter when it came out on the PS2 back in the day.
I was SO excited, and then they cancelled it when it was almost done...

They are infected with the woke mind virus and it looks to be terminal.
Because they thought they can just slap the Star Wars or Marvel name on anything and fans would automatically eat it up. Nobody told them they actually have to make GOOD movies.
There’s no reason for Disney to panic, their tiny fraction of people they’re trying to appeal to will undoubtedly save them from financial collapse.
You're not wrong. They'll increase the cost of admission to parks and increase revenue to other ways and make themselves a "premium brand" that can only appeal to the well heeled. That may be their plan.
The minority of watchers ain't saving shit
They’ll run it all into the ground if they still have a chance to push their propaganda onto the masses.
It’s so very nice to see Disney imploding. I feel like we’ve been force-fed a certain brand of politics instead of the entertainment we were paying for.
Disney tells its customers to "move along," then wonders where they went when it's time to review the bottom line.
How it started: “Don’t like it? Don’t watch it!”

Yep, how many times have we heard "don't like it, don't watch it"
The remaining subscribers are the people that forgot they have a Disney+ subscription.

I'm told there are a lot of people who are signed up for free when they get some other service, and Disney counts all those temporary free users as 'subscribers'.
It's such a shame that Disney, the company that we trusted, is now a criminal institution.
"This magic belongs to no boy."
I couldn't have said it better, Wendy. It's the new Disney motto.
I like it when the silent majority silently stops consuming these companies' products.
Disney was once known as a premium gourmet brand, but disney+ forced them to be a fast food chain. Disney+ forces Disney to mass produce low quality garbage and it won't get better anytime. Bob iger seems to be hell bent to become netflix that is also not famous for high quality products. Disney should simply give up its streaming service and produce quality products.
There were WAY too many things to love in this comment. I like the gourmet vs fast food part the most.
Well done.👏
Which is ironic because they first sold their service on what was supposed to be a huge body of Disney media. I guess they ran through all that in a month or two.
"Disney should just give up"
There, fixed it for you
They were pushing out garbage before the streaming service. It was already heading that way in quality. The app just streamlined the crap to come out faster and more frequently. No one is forcing the company to hire horrible directors and writers. They are throwing money down the drain in the name of pushing out hidden agendas.
Don't know about the "premium gourmet" stuff. Disney always liked to milk its brands. Like all the direct-to-dvd-sequels to their animation-movies. It's just, back then you could ignore it and pretend it was made by the asylum or something. But if you force all that mediocre stuff in the face of the consumer via your own platform... it is not that easy.
Like a turd. On the isde of the road, you can ignore it without even realising its existence while passing by. But if someone picks it up, puts some bright banners around it for marketing and shoves it in your face... well... the result should be obvious.
I was a true blue Disney lover up until recently. I saw it happening in the parks, first. The focus went from making sure the guest had an absolutely amazing experience, to making absolutely sure that the guest spent every possible cent in their pockets, before they left the property. They have erased the magic with their greed and replaced it with a typical corporate approach to satisfying shareholders and the bottom line.
I stopped buying my annual pass to Disneyland when they priced everyone out but the rich European and Asian tourists. After all the money I had spent there, and all of the people I had convinced to do the same for well over thirty five years, I was apparently labeled an “undesirable” by Disney. I see the same thing happening with Disney+. Struggling to satisfy that wicked shareholder bottom line is requiring Disney to give the least, while charging the most.
Well, I cancelled my Disney+ subscription two months ago and sadly, I doubt I’ll ever see Disneyland again. Walt would be beside himself.
I haven't been to a park lately & was wondering if I should go with my friends' kids but aaaaaw, sad to know. I mean, I don't even think it's because we're adults now. Sadly, Disney doesn't care about the magic, just the money.
@@Jumpoable well, don’t let my rant get even close to ruining yours or the kids day at the park. This is just my consensus. Everybody has their own expectations and requirements of Disneyland, and I’m sure yours will differ from mine. It’s always going to be fun to visit the park, and I’m sure the magic hasn’t totally disappeared. Though they may indeed be greedy, a mouse is still a mouse. Have fun.
If they cared about shareholders they wouldn’t be wasting money like this. It’s about STAKEHOLDERS and impact investing now
Millions of children still love the films & television they produce, and that's what Walt cared about, so although I agree with much of what you are saying, I disagree that Walt would disapprove.
I've only been to the park once. I doubt I'd go again even if someone gave me free tickets. I cancelled my Disney+ for the same reason. Too political. We don't need that. I'll watch UA-cam Premium instead. When everyone on UA-cam gets too political that's the day I go back to watching DVD's only!
You hit the nail in the head, Disney seems to have an issue with masculinity just look at the book of boba fett, Obi Wan, Peter Pan and soon to be Madalorian. People are starting to realize this and are speaking with their wallets. If the writers have “daddy issues” then leave that at home, get therapy or choose a different career but don’t expect society to tip toe around you
Amen!
I'm sorry, I'm confused. Obi Wan, Boba Fett, Peter Pan, what have these got to do with the death of masculinity? I *suppose* I understand the inclusion of The Mandalorian, since it seems that it's becoming more about Bo Katan than "Mando".

What’s crazier is they said they will be removing $1.5 billion worth of content while increasing the price lol
Just like their parks. $20 for a 1/3 slice of cake, last I heard.
Once upon a time people fled cable. They were paying a fortune for a bunch of channels they had to take but couldn't care less about. Now streaming services are starting to learn people do eventually get fed up. I see lots of comments on UA-cam videos about things like history where people are still moaning about the History Channel going down the toilet. People actually want good content.
I have a question, what are they gonna remove specifically, new upcoming shows, or stuff that was already on D+?
Because if you will do it for AAA titles, it is fair that they will want to run it at the theaters first. Or if the first, then yes, it is utterly stupid how greedy it is.
I believe Disney knows exactly what they are doing. They just don’t care. They must be getting benefits from DEI scores above and beyond their financial losses. It’s disgusting.

It’s how Larry Fink forces people to behave how he wants them to.

This is what has been ruining so many things recently (not just TV/movies): the CEOs have no idea what it's like for the vast majority of consumers or what the consumers actually want. I have no idea how these people live their lives so insulated from the general public. It's like they don't even live on Earth with so many of their decisions.
Thank you for the information.
As a father, one thing I've consistently noticed with Disney is that they clearly are capable of making good, quality shows... but they barely last long enough to gain any traction or following. Some recent examples would be Saturdays, Gabby Duran, Ultraviolet and Black Scorpion, and The Mysterious Benedict Society. They're genuinely good, like something straight out of the 90s. But then they get canceled after only a season or 2. But trash like Bunk'd just keeps going on indefinitely, just like Jessie will probably never go off the air. Disney loves canceling every decent production before it even hits its stride, but they love forcing anything with identity politics or just complete garbage "humour" down our throats.
What you said. The Disney+ library is a baffling mix of GOAT (like the original Lion King) and utter garbage.
Besides canceling shows with potential, they do also ruin shows that start out reasonably well like the Mandalorian.
All in all it seems like it’s actually a better deal to just buy the stuff that was/is good individually than support Disney+ and have them give most of your money to the diversity/angry feminist crowd making the creative decisions…
Cancelling good shows after season one or two seems to be a deliberate move. It forces viewers to spend time searching for other good shows, thus creating watch hours for the stats provided to investors while temporarily covering up the number of unsubscribers.

Disney's lack of respect for other people's literature and their tendency to do what they want may be the reason for their downfall. It is not surprising to see them fail due to this behavior

I find it extremely difficult to grasp that regardless of all the horrendous decisions Disney makes, they STILL have a Disney+ subscription base of 158 MILLION people. That's almost half the population of the USA. is it really any wonder why they believe that they can do whatever they want and get away with it ?
Until that number is at least halved, they will continue on their merry way and laugh at us. Very frustrating.
That number includes every body who ever t subscribed even when you stop membership your details such as name and card number are retained incase you reativate your membership, The number of paying members is much lowerer.

@@stephen8639 That can't really be true seeing as how the number has been dropping since q4 of 2022(they had 164.2million at the time), it is a worldwide count though so not usa specific.
Yup. I wish there are more subscribers like the former Bud Light customers.
They don't care about the fans, they care about their ESG scores for BlackRock. I hope it was worth all the backlash Disney. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving company.
It's hilarious that they are learning how to market their movies and shows better, by putting more content that people want to see and less that they don't. But then they apparently don't even think about that the same idea applies to the actual shows and movies. Someone over there just needs to sit down and think "is this something our customers want to watch?" In all the interviews of the executives, writers, and actors I don't think I've seen any of them say anything that was even close to being concerned about what their customers want to watch.
When sales start to fall, even a great product will not save the day, because the brand is ruined.

Disney plus is not a streaming service, it's a babysitting app for terrible parents
True that, I was raised entirely on internet tv and games by a single mother who spent all her time working, vegging out in front in the tv or hanging out with her friend or new boyfriend who was secretly a criminal or the one who filmed movies and brought them home as directors cuts. I grew up to be a super well functioning member of society so I know from experience how true this is.
I mean, you don’t have to be a terrible parent to put some cartoons on for your kids.
True. That is what my sister does. She just uses Disney+ to babysit her kids.
When I was a little kid in the early 90's (like 6/7 years old) my dad refused to get me stabilisers on my brand new bike. I remember being so upset that I couldn't ride it. So upset, that it made me determined. I taught myself to balance and ride in a single day on our cul de sac, my mum watched me do it for hours through the kitchen window lol. After that, the world opened up to me to hang out with my friends and go on adventures learning about our area and our surroundings. Kids these days only have virtual adventures, and I feel bad for them.
@@robbomegavlkafenryka6158 This is true, I did not mean to imply all parents that have D+ are bad parents, but that bad parents would rather put their children in front of a screen rather than interact with them

I had it for I think 2 months a year odd ago. I'm an oldie. Disney has decades of product. The reason I got it was I thought I could go back and watch all that stuff from the 60's on and it was nowhere to be found. It's all sitting in their vaults which makes no sense to me. They already own it. So what's the harm in putting it on the platform and allowing those who do want to see it to watch it? Their business strategy is beyond my comprehension. Are they so far gone woke is the only thing they will allow us access to and if we refuse to watch that, they'd rather go under. Or does Eiger seriously think he can win this battle?
Igor understands full well what the problems are, but he refuses to acknowledge it because it would upset all his underlings and when a company is dying, that's not the best idea. But of course continuing on the same path isn't going to do any better

I think the removal of content has something to do with the writers strike. One of the things they’re asking for is residual pay from streaming. If people can’t stream it, they don’t have to pay the writers
And please don’t blame the writers. They’re not getting paid enough to survive, and the big companies are making their working conditions unsustainable. I predict in 3 years Disparu will have more subscribers than Disney+.
Disney learned a lesson, they need to lie better about what is in the film/TV show so you’ll watch it, and once they got your money you can screw off and watch garbage, because once they have your cash they got everything they needed out of you and as far as they’re concerned they have no reason to care about your enjoyment or experience.
Maybe the next lesson they learn will be how to file chapter 11 bankruptcy, how to claim unemployment benefit paperwork and how to write a CV.

I don’t think they can fire these Activist writers because they are terrified of their violent reactions because the bullied realized that bullying works in the way that it makes your victims obey you. I mean they gave Rings of power a season 2 because the writers/activists were bullying everybody. Activists destroyed everything.
People need to grow a pair and call their bluff. They were given power on the mistaken belief by companies (no doubt via their marketers) that Twitter was the general population. They've mostly wised up to that. When a middle manager leaked Dave Chapelle's contract fee and another barged into a Netflix exec meeting to demand the removal of Chapelle's shows, both got canned. Then Netflix released an updated employment charter stating if you can't accept our programming, work elsewhere. Disney hasn't gotten to that stage. Possibly due to top nob woke thinking. But lose enough money & they won't be safe either.
The "writers" strike will give them that opportunity right now.
Activists aren't fired because they are EVERYONE in Holyweird.
@@tashvadj4914 yes they are everywhere. I honestly believe that the studio heads hired these people because all upper management of almost any company are out of touch with the reality of the consumer. So they are pitched ideas that sounds like they would make sense, they hire these people and those people being in their own and slowly then rapidly destroy the brands from within.
These people aren’t here to work, they think this is fun and games to take a pi$$ on fandoms and corporate America. Look into what the activist team behind SheHulk did with Kevin during their meetings and how they built the show from the bottom to upset the fandom and non leftist viewers.
The Mandalorian always has been crap. Too many people just got blinded by nostalgia bait and because "at least it's not as bad as the movies". It always has been a joke of a show, especially a Star Wars one....
Yep there's been a massive drop in quality all over. Sadly, Disney and WB have bought so much competitors and have a vast catalog they can lock it away while remaking crap left and right.
I’m. Old enough to remember the throw away low budget crap Disney produced in the 70’s. Anyone remember stuff like “The Cat From Outer Space” the “Computer in Tennis Shoes” or “Herbie Goes Bananas” awful. Truly awful films. It’s actually their default setting because quite frankly they’re a creatively bankrupt committee driven company and have been Since Walt was declared legally dead enough to have his body frozen in carbonite. If it wasn’t for the Lion King and Brad Bird their abandoned theme parks would nowadays only be visited by urban explorers…
Watching disney self destruct is becoming the best Entertainment, grab some popcorn folks:)
🍿
The streaming wars is so stupid. People subscribed to Netflix because they add 1000 shows a day (i.e. a reason to stay subscribed). Disney simply can't compete with that volume of new shows. There is little reason to stay subscribed to Disney+.
I forgot my popcorn 😢

I was honestly surprised that in the recent Lion King remake they didn't have Sarabi divorce Mufasa, kick him out of Pride Rock but still make him bring 4 dead Zebras a day to feed the new all female boss bitch pride, then have the prince Simba twerk for his dinner while they all laughed about how worthless men are, then cowed him into accepting Nala as his overlord Queen who would then reign for eternity in holy peace and harmony.
What an empowering plot. I came up with that 3 cans deep on a Friday night in 50 seconds, but you can believe it happening one day... Can't you.
Fuck I need to email Disney, may as well get some money out of this shit.
That's the plot of the upcoming movie "The Lioness King"
You probably had some help 😂. 🍺🍺🍺
@@toolegittoquit_001 🍻 slainte go bragh
Two reasons for that:
a) Jon Favreau as a director
b) they are technically animals, not people, so males get a pass
We've been telling them what we want to buy for a decade or longer. They just don't want to do it.
I tell you why
because it used to be few big subscription services in the past offering content produced by various media companies, so we had a big spread of content type on each platform. Now, every one comes up with their own platform with tiny amount of good stuff and filler trash, and expect to be paid as for full blown service.
Really glad I ran across your channel. You're hilarious man. Wish you and your channel the best!
Agreed! He makes some very good videos.
Holy shit that scene in the Mado had me close the app and rest with heartburn 🤣
All that you’re saying is very spot on, you are very good at describing these problems that Disney is creating for themselves.
Looks like Disney and Bud Light are neck and neck for the "Go Woke, Go Broke" 2023 challenge.
Add fox News
Budweiser and disney are definitely overachievers of the go woke go broke 2023 challenge😂😂😂
@@donnafrflorida56 Fox News destroy a company hard-earned reputation in order to keep their ratings with boomers, and got rightfully sued for libel. They did not go woke, they go broke because of plain greed.
People will pay for quality which Disney is lacking these days! My annual subscription was due to renew in March but I cancelled it. Not paying £80/year for trash ☹️
Anybody else remember when Subbing to Cable special access meant, no commercials, uncensored, premium content, and after theater releases? Oh and it was essential because analog was still an option?
I’d also like the point out that the interface of Disney+ is so inferior to Netflix’s. It therefore feels that you are not maximizing its use because searching and the home page are not dynamic. Compared to Netflix where their interface, the format of the title cards, and the customization to the user makes you want to explore the platform. Doesn’t matter if the content is bad or not, its that their technology sucks.
"This magic belongs to no boy" is as clumsy as it is stupid, As an irritated Darth Vader might say. I wonder how he feels about the force being female? Hopefully they will cover that subject matter in "the acolyte." Probably millions of new subscribers will sign up for Disney+ to watch that.
Thanks for the video and have a great weekend!
I read She Hulk back in the early 90s. It was a good spoof of comic tropes and good stories. They could have followed those comic books and had a hell of a TV show. But no, they WOKE their brains out.
Agreed. Much like you I read the comics around the same time period. I was looking forward to the show. I don’t think I made it through the second episode.
Whenever I complain about it, people tell me stuff like, “oh, it just wasn’t for you. That’s all.“
But if I used to read the comics, I am myself and folks like you know what we wanted to see. We were the audience, and they lost us.
I agree. The Jim Steranko run was truly witty and a legitimately fun read.
MARVEL source material is all most limitless.. But Disney still fucked up.
they fucked up Thor, Lori, Capitan marvel, turned the MCU into M-SHE U
As you know what "WOKE" actually is; could you explain it to me; because I'm still looking for a definition that works.
wow!!! you are such a fast competent presenter . you're obviously unscripted, rare talent. you'd put most of the media presenters or commentators to shame. if Disney plus chose you as their marketing manager they'd gain 4 million subscribers. great presentation
It's because once you've seen their selection of movies there is no point keeping Disney.
There is no way in hell that Disney doesn’t know why they are losing money… they know… but the narrative of today is what is driving them.
Disney didn't see this coming from all the franchises they've ruined and pissed on their own fans
Im not sure if it's worse, the damage the terrible writers are doing to womams reputation in Hollywood, or the fact these writers cant acknowledge that they have so little talent they cannot create original female characters and need an established fanbase to have any chance of success.
All the "M-She-U", "girl-power", gender-bent characters we are getting - She-Hulk, Hawkeye, Iron Heart etc - are *from the comics* , the same as their male counterparts, so I'm not sure why you're complaining about a lack of original female characters? *Original* characters of *any* gender are very, very rare in the MCU because 99% of the characters come from the comics.
@@IllisiaAdams obviously the characters are in comics but to alter said characters to use as a platform or self insertion as writer is what my point was and issue, hijacking an established character fanbase to tell their own personal atory.
Most of my experience from these characters comes from the 90s cartoons so perhaps they are completely wrong in comic interpretation but they already ruined the characters of She-Hulk based on those cartoons and severaly altered Widow and Scarlet Witch via a moral and personality stand point
@@IllisiaAdams Yes, and comic sales dropped to an all time low for this exact reason. Those characters exist, but those are the same characters which started to alienate the comic book audience. Just because they are pushing the same characters now into movies doesn't really help your argument.
@@danhun7355 I'm not trying to argue sweety. I hate this "M-She-U" nonsense as much as you do, trust me. I'm just saying that the characters existed before in the source material, so they didn't do a race swap or gender swap *for the sake of it* like a lot of other films and TV has been doing lately.
*Did* the sales go down when they introduced girl Hawkeye, She-Hulk, Captain Marvel, etc? This is the first I've heard of this. If you have a source of this info, I'd love to read it. Or is it just something you heard? I mean, from what *I've* heard - which could totally be wrong, as it wasn't an official source, just fellow fans - these lady characters were a big hit. I wouldn't mind being corrected! Thanks. in-advance.
@@danhun7355 I just realised something that makes no sense to me whatsoever... If the lady versions of these dude characters - She-Hulk, girl Hawkeye, girl Thor, etc - were so unpopular in the comics... WHY ADAPT THEM? That just seems stupid...
I asked the kids if they were ok after we cut all Disney trips and shows out of our lives 3 weeks ago.
They told us they don't care because we spend so much more time going out to the Parks having BBQS and playing with there rc rock crawlers.
You have no idea how happy they made me feel by saying that.
Disney is also the only of the major Hollywood studios that charges full or near full price for almost all of their movies on Blu-ray. The massive catalogues of Warner, Universal, Sony and Paramount can usually be found at under ten euros per film. I can understand higher prices from smaller studios like Lionsgate, but certainly not from Disney. 16 euros for the original "Bambi" (1942)? Sorry, not on my watch.
1:22 He changed shirts for that. More committed than the people who write these TV Shows I swear
Yeah, that was brilliant!
Lol I would've miss it, thanks.
I did see that Disparu wardrobe change.
Some very solid social commentary here Disparu. :-) Good job!
I know for a fact that I'm one of the subscribers that they lost. She-Hulk was what did it for me. It wasn't the show, it was the interviews that the directors and actors did. It made it clear that they knew the show would be hated by male Marvel fans. And it wasn't because male Marvel fans hated having a female lead or anything like that. It was because they purposely made choices during the creation of the show that they knew would ensure this reaction. They then basically made male Marvel fans the villains of the show. For some reason the show creators and actors thought this was cool and a genius idea. They said as much in interviews. That would be like walking up to someone, insulting them, and then laughing when they get angry because you "predicted" that it would make them angry.
I took exception when they said in one interview that the show isn't just for adults, that kids can enjoy it too. From what i saw of the show, the character drank heavily and she hooked up with a different man in every episode. They even briefly show a video of her having sex in that scene where she destroyed the TV monitors at the award show. And they think THAT'S appropriate for kids? That's unacceptable.
It was one thing for them to attack male Marvel fans. But saying they wanted kids to watch it was downright sick. And this is coming from someone who knows you can have superhero stories aimed at kids or people of all ages that include romance, without being sleazy and borderline pornographic.
I just want them to fail faster to get it over with. If they fail quickly enough, we might escape this hell with at least a few parts of our childhood still intact.
Its simple, Disney: create good content, people will watch. Create progressive content, no one will watch.
Create bad content and no one will watch it
Or barely anyone will. Not enough to be sustainable.
The content being progressive doesn't necessarily equate to it being bad.
Progressive stuff does seem to attract a lot of bad writers though...
@@NikoJr. any single example of modern progressive not being awful? Seriously. I’d like to know.
The 90s did the greatest ballance of progressive mixed in naturally into plots. Rather then making identities and power moves on genders a big deal.
They forgot they’re an entertainment organization
Gee I wonder if it has anything to do with them constantly ruining source material for shows and movies so that they can play to very specific audiences
Youve literally described psychopathy. The inability to empathize, and see other ppl as also sentient beings, who have their own internal mind. Seriously thinking all others are npcs.
Damn, I already canceled my free subscription to Disney+. Looks like I now have to cancel Hulu as well.
If they can't figure out why they're going out of business, well, they deserve to go out of business.
Disney + came included with our Verizon cell plan. We switched to ATT and lost it. We tried the commercial version for one month just to finish a show we got cutoff from, and it was trash.
Disney + is horrible. We may get it once a year to catch up, but it’s no longer going to be something we keep.
Here's what I don't get. I have daddy issues, but I go out of my way to look for fatherly characters because it's something I admire and something I didn't have. I WISH I had a fatherfigure so I look at those who are supposed to be in masculine roles and get my fill from enjoying the good ones.
These writers don't just have daddy issues, they're just genuinely horrendous people with backwards ideas of what is genuinely good. They literally promote characters that are SUPPOSED to be the good guys but really they act like villains. THEY THINK VILLAINS ARE GOOD.
Welcome to the orvellian reality we life in where war is peace, freedom is slavery and ignorance is strength.
Ironic that all the old "toxic" (more successful and widely celebrated) animated films had some of the best father figure characters in the Disney catalogue
When those types say 'daddy issues' they mean they likely resent their fathers for not allowing them to do as they pleased. I lost my father at 11. No offence to my stepfather of 35 years, he isn't my father. Whilst I'm happy he's made my Mum happy and they're only around the corner, if I didn't see him again, I'd barely notice. That's not his fault. I still miss my father. But what I don't do is blame all men because he passed when I was young. I just wish he hadn't. Their lack of maturity & sense of entitlement is not their fathers' fault. Portraying villains as good guys is further proof their own father's aren't villainous.
Yes, share price gapped down by 9%, which is a fairly strong signal. But the BIG tell was volume: 57m shares traded, the biggest sell-off since Nov 9 and 21, while Chapek was still in charge. This is the Iger Sell. It's qualitatively different.
I took business courses for my elective and the biggest thing that they emphasize is that you have to plan on how much money you think you might make, not on reality. I questioned this type of practice to my professor about this being a stupid plan but everyone just looked at me like I was an idiot.
The time has come for silent majority to bring down these evil corporations.
Its fine, Blackrock will continue to subsidize them as long as they keep pushing "the message".
exactly. as long as they have even one person actually listening to "the message" they will never go out of business. the governments will make sure of that.
