+Hubie Thompson I'm 25 and love this music! The doo wopp sound is just my favorite! I wonder what the final song was called and who it was by. Love Eyes?
If you enjoyed the “Doo-Wop Shop” for all of 27 years when Don K Reed hosted, check out Cool Bobby B’s “Doo-Wop Stop”. That’s a terrific show to listen. It’s on Sirius/XM’s “50’s on 5” and other stations elsewhere. I listened to his show and it sounds terrific, and that beats “Story Untold” to the punch! There were a few doo-wop shows out there and anyone who has a choice to listen to. I listened to Allan David Stein on WMTR where he does the “Doo-Wop Drive” every Friday night, and then Sundays on WFTL in Fort Lauderdale, FL where Ken Held did his “Doo-Wop Stop” and sounded good, but the problem was, it repeated the same show over and over and over again. Thankfully I have these airchecks. I remember Ken Held back in his WMXJ’s former “Majic 102.7” days where he hosted that show at the time. And finally, I listened to John Manzi on WVOS-FM every Sunday where he hosted the “Bop Shop” where he plays doo-wop and other songs from his 45 RPM record collection and it sounds really well done, and he plays songs like the way it was played on a 45 with lots of scratches and pops like the way it used to sound. And let’s not forget Warren Lawrence on WKNY on Saturday afternoons at 4PM, he did a doo-wop show as well. Those are my choices to listen to.
Today I'm so emotional. I really miss the dreams of yesterday. I truly understand now how fast our youth passes. Thanks P. J. for the tears and the joy of my past memories and joys of the past. What true music does for ones love in their life and now in their dreams.
I mean let's face it this is all nostalgia music , but some songs just take you right back to place and time, like no others do, Great post. Eddie Black, from the little known Bronx group The Five Sharks
Wow this brings back memories of me in high school. Even tho we were into the new thing at the time called Disco, I was deep into The Doowop Shop, n the older Norman Knight Night Train Show on Sun.nights. And now in my 50s n liking SOME music now, the doowops still get me the most. I was born too late.
Used to get Doo Wop Radio in Australia but for some reason it stopped broadcasting about 2 months ago..What a bummer Thanks for posting Bev.Just love it!
1 crankyvet You can get many oldies/Doo Wop shows on the internet. Many play on the weekends, Saturday and Sundays. Good luck, hope you find one that you really like.
Another few great snippets, thanks PJ. Ironically. my ex-wife was called Brenda, she would have loved that song, unfortunately she fell out of love with me many years ago. We are about seven hours behind you here in the UK, I must try & link up when you are on the airwaves live. Love the music, there is nowhere in England where you can here great songs like these.
Guess I am still in love with Doo Wop (after all these years). I'm 64 and grew up in the midwest, but am signals traveled really well in the early days. Remember a station called WWRL at 1600 that had some doc-wop, and a bootleg station a bit above 1600 that sometimes I could hear with fantastic stuff!! Eventually some doo wop even filtered into Cow country here. Still think it's the best sound around!
Well a Saturday morning show (unless it is net streamed) would definitely not be possible for me to hear from my perch in western Wisconsin. Too bad, Doo Wop is becoming less commonly heard in these parts now days. Hope it is still relatively easy to hear in the eastern cities.
Nice stuff PJ as always keeping the Doo wop alive... Love the brenda track :-) Oh try not to listern to Eddie Black!! he's a bit of a " Fake " to busy going around give people stick instead of enjoy the music? He has trouble even understanding " Daddyo!! " I feel sorry for the rest of his group...lol
Anthony MrDooWop Moss Well Eddie's always been good to me and has supported my efforts. I, in turn, support him and his efforts. That doesn't mean I can't be friends with you, as well. I have room in my heart for whoever is good to me :)

BTW, I used to listen to “Story Untold” every Sunday, so I decided that I definitely like Cool Bobby B a lot better than PJ, so I ended up listing to the “Doo-Wop Stop” and I love it. I have several of them in my collection, after listening to his show, I decided to move on and listen to the “Doo-Wop Stop” with Cool Bobby B which is WAY better than “Story Untold”.
Growing up in NYC Sunday nite all the neighborhoods were playing the Doo Wop Shop. I'm 53 and my generation still listen to this music,

Why don't you quit hiding behind MTN Productions ,tell us who you really are-??
There are “WAY better” comments here than yours - what’s your untold story?
Never a disappointment from you, what is the cut at the 4 min mark?
