I did the Beast. It was extremely muddy due to 10 inches of snow that fell. Spartan changed the course because they couldn’t get to certain places to set up. The beast racers had to do two laps and had time requirements like the ultra runners or they would pull you off course. It was challenging and I will be happy to go back again. The elevation was no joke. I live in Texas at 400 ft above sea level. That was a struggle.

Map for the venue is out. 16 obstacles in the first 2.5 miles. Going to be an interesting race. If I see you at Woodstock I will be sure to say Hello and provide a Sit Rep on Montana. Going for the trifecta weekend! Boom 💪🏻

Spartan curveball. They sent an email saying they got 10 inches of snow this week. Making a bunch of the course impossible to access. So instead of one beast loop we are doing 2 super loops plus a 2.5 mile added spur to reach beast distance.
I switched from running the Ultra to volunteering this weekend but it looks cold.

Awesome guys. That altitude change would destroy me. Hat to be a negative Nancy but... when they start searching for venues it is the beginning of the end. Thats what happened in MN. We went from eight runs a year to one a year in a decade.
