    I like how he was trying to hide part of the dim TIR6 on the grill with his hand.

    • @DevinKan
      @DevinKan 7 років тому

      Quentin King They aren't dim, it's just because they have very focused long distance optics instead of wide angle optics, so they appear faded from an angle.

      Devin Kan wow lol I forgot about this. No I watch it again. there are 3 diode's going out on the red grill light. And he even said they came for a previous service vehicle "used"

    I'm curious as to why several of these clients go so overboard with strobe lights. I understand the point of being visible, but allot of these builds have excessive lights.
    3 pairs of strobes for the front facing view.
    2 pair of strobes on the read view.
    3 pair of strobes on the sides.
    And a ligthbar that flashes in every direction of the vehicle.
    Why are there so many lights for each direction? When a single pair on each side along with a light bar is plenty of disco for traffic already.
    Please do not see this as critique, i am genuinely interested in your opinion / explanation SIRENNET. :)

      +Garpenlov Some Department's equip Vehicles with simple Lighting Packages while others choose to really 'Light' them up. Customer preference, Vehicle usage and budget are some of the things that come into play when they set-up Rigs. For this Expedition, Dundee Fire wanted to have a very noticeable SUV that would not be missed when responding. They see very, very heavy traffic in their area and 100's of semi's use the towns narrow 2 lane highway daily. They wanted to be loud, bright, functional and safe when on calls and just backing up other Emergency Services.

      I see, this does indeed become much more noticeable than normal. I thank you for your interesting and helpful response. :)

    why would they do split patterns on the tir6s that just ruins their warning pattern. split patterns in general suck

    So they weren't using the second color on the Code 3 mirror lights? I can see that half of the light heads are not being utilized. Also it looks like the passenger side mirror light flashes less than the driver side module. What kind of paint did the crew use on the wheels? Looks great.

    • @SIRENNET
      @SIRENNET  8 років тому +1

      +Blaine Bugaski The White in the Chase Light-heads is not used in Warning Mode. They do come on with a Scene Lighting Mode to help illuminate things around the Expedition. The Wheels were done locally. We're not sure what they used on them exactly.

    Great project ! Congratulations.
    My only doubt is a bout the speakers at the front, moisture-water-mud or even a fender bender won't hurt them easily as they are now a little bit exposed?
    Best regards from Greece.

      @SIRENNET  8 років тому +1

      +Grenadieros The Speakers are about to handle being exterior mounted just fine. Normal rain and road-water splash up and washing won't cause any issues. With them being mounted out on the Push-Bumper, they offer a slightly loader and less obstructed output then if they were tucked behind the front bumper.

    • @SIRENNET
      @SIRENNET  8 років тому

      +znovosad555 The TIR6's are nice and bright head on. To the sides and above and below, the optics don't push out much Lighting.

      It's the power distribution board for managing all the electronics. It's made by and offered by D & R Electronics.

    im just wondering, how long does it take u to make a emergency vehicle? for example a dodge ram, and the customer wants it as a marked police car, how long would that take u guys? AND BTW, U GUYS SHOULD USE BACKGROUND MUSIC ON THE VIDEOS, it is acctually pretty entertaining, but its like kinda "boring" to watch u know, this kinda videos is like fast n loud and wheeldealers u know , the only thing thats missing is the background music

    • @SIRENNET
      @SIRENNET  8 років тому +1

      +The Gaming Norwegian With a Team of 2-3 Installation Tech's working away, an Unmarked Vehicle or a full-blown Patrol Vehicle with all of the add-on's typically takes 15-40 hours. A full Ram build usually takes 3-4 days and totals around 20-30 hours.

    Is it me or are the flash patterns on the side mirrors not the same?

    • @SIRENNET
      @SIRENNET  8 років тому

      +natemel12 They are set to different Patterns. The Department likes having the Mirrors flashing differently. It helps break up the rhythm when seen from the front.

    can you have multiple buttons for traffic advisor functions

    • @SIRENNET
      @SIRENNET  8 років тому

      +Austin Adams On the 295SDA1, you only need to use the (1) button to control- left, right and center out. You could use different buttons on the Control-head, but the Arrow Display would not carry over to buttons not for the 2-Wire T/A.

    How did you fill in the holes from the roof rack when you took it off?

    • @SIRENNET
      @SIRENNET  7 років тому +1

      The hardware that affixes the rails to the roof was reused and a bead of epoxy sealant was put around the bolts to keep everything sealed up.
