The photographer must have been even more exhausted 😁 Wonderful cinematography and narrative. Once again thank you for sharing. Heading off later this month as a +50 years. Cheers from Scandinavia 🇩🇰🇸🇪🇳🇴
Really well done ! I loved the way you adapted to the unique challenges thrown at you, and just found a way to get through each one. No matter how much hiking I do, there is always a new unique problem that comes up for me. The cow looked like it was going to charge you. They are unpredictable beasts. I have had my fair amount of run ins with cows here in the UK.
Thank you to take me with you . I appreciate your intution, your respect and your sense of beauty. I wish you a wonderfull here and now wherever you are.
I did the hike last year from the South to the North (all alone) and am going to do it again the other direction with a friend this year. Your video is the best I‘ve seen so far. It’s not only that you show the landscape in a very beautiful manner. Most impressive to me was the way you show the mood or better said the moods you’re cunning through while doing the hike.
Sometimes, you are surprised in UA-cam. Sometimes, you find such treasures of videos, when you don't expect it. Fantastic filmed accompanied with great music, and the whole time, the deep entrance into your thoughts. Congratulation and Thank you
What a beautiful film you made! It brought me back to my own magical experiences and challenges of 2018, that the gr20 evoke in us. A time I feel will always remain special
Truly inspiring. I have to say it's the best hiking documentary I have seen so far. Extremely professional compared to others i have rented on AP. What an amazingly talented lady. Absolutely loved watching this ❤❤❤
a truly beautiful and inspirational view of the GR20. you have fully captured the whole feeling and nature of a long distance trail, but managing to do this on the GR20 with the weight of your equipment and your commitment to the quality of the film you've produced is astonishing.
So, 1 year later in 2022 I did this unique and incredibly beatiful trek all the way from Calenzana to Conca in 7.5 days. Rewatching this video....I am thinking this is truly the best video I have seen of GR20. Thank you again for making me relive the experience! Although it was a very tough trek, I need to confess by the time I finished my legs were happy it was over, LOL!
Incredibly beautiful. Dreamlike nature, extreme paths, personal and philosophical texts, Corsica. Thank you, Klara and Michal for these wonderful pictures and for sharing the path. Beat Weber, Switzerland
Amazing video that focuses more on the beauty and wonder that the trek beholds instead of the usual bravado about 'the most difficult trek in Europe'. Klara's voice is magical, emotional at times. I am doing gr20 next week and this video is very motivational. Thanks for putting this on UA-cam.
Thankyou for your great video, loved it and you are so articulate, it created a romantic story. Although I have hiked for many years, have never done the GR20. Something I had longed to do. Now 77 years have passed and I have sadly left it too late now. Thankyou again, take care.
A beautiful film and a touching story. My heart trembled and there were tears in my eyes. Thank you very much for that. I am going on this path in three weeks, but I will be going in the opposite direction. Thank you again
Wow, this is just world class! Your drone shots and video mounting is fantastic. I did the GR20, and this reminded me so much of the beauty of this great little island. This movie is very spiritual, and your conclusions are spot on. Thank you very much!
Really nice story and your filmer did great work. Beautiful balance of words and images. The video makes it look idyllic, but your words extend the images to reveal the hard work, the routine, of a long hike. Your expression in English is also lovely; not quite idiomatic, which is perfect and your own. So glad you didn't give up after the hail storm. I had no idea the GR 20 was so crowded.
Thank you very much for your kind words! It's nice to hear that you like my performance. We wanted to document the journey the way we felt and it's amazing that the film has so many fans who feel the same way.
Hands down, this is the best hiking documentary I have seen on UA-cam. Hard to believe you have filmed it yourself (I assume) while hiking at the same time. GR20 is on my bucket list for 2022, I just came back from TMB which was awesome too.
Hi Janne, thank you for kind words. TMB is very similar to GR20 in way of logistic but very different with constantly changing microclima. Finger crossed :)
You are an amazing narrator. I wept as I watched this.. Seriously. Just how much I wish the quarantine was over and I could get back to trekking. Thank you, this is an amazing video!
Thank you for your nice words. We really wanted to make the film like meditation. In the mountains you have just same feelings. It is like transition... reborn. This feeling we wanted to bring near for people who didn't know how good to be in nature for a longer time.
HEllo, I am at 21.19 minutes, it is simply amazing, your pictures, point of view. We did the GR20 in 2019(July) with my best friends. We had exactly the same feeling with the Monte Cinto. Thank you for sharing your amazing experience. Best video of the GR20 I've ever seen.
Hello Alexandre, thank you for your nice comment. Monte Cinto was for us 4th day of the journey and shooting and this mountain just got us. I think maybe If you go from south to north it is easier. You have more days behind and your muscles are in better shape. We want to try it next time 😊.
@@beautyofadventure Hello and thank you for your answer. We will also try it one day, but the strongest picture on this video is we had quite exactly the same path/steps. And of course yes it is easier from South to North. One of the best experience in my life. Keep doing videos!
Thanks a lot for your documentary! I hiked the entire GR20 this summer and remembering all of these places through your video made me so emotional, it truly is a great adventure.
On MARCHE !!. MERCI !!!!
Thank you for this, a lovely film....I have always wanted to try this trek....as I have got older, I’m not sure I could complete it anymore ( and I have summitted Everest!).......maybe try the Southern half one day?!
Thank you so much! It depends how you feel, age is not a barrier. I would say, if you have a passion to try it (at least 1 day) , it is worth to do it! Good luck on the expedition!
This is beautiful!! I hiked the GR20 this summer. So nice to see you did the high variant just before L'Onda, that was my favorite part of the whole trail :)!
Truly one of the nicest movies about GR20! Photography, commentary, atmospheres -- catching well how it feels, and why is it personally important to every through-hiker. Another big part of GR20 experience, not shown in this movie (for a reason), is meeting other hikers, and all the camps (gites). Interested folks should look up classic movies by Michele Custodero (Memoirs of a GR20 hiker, on Vimeo). Advice to Klara and Michal: keep returning to this trail. It feels different each time, you can stay at different places, and there are plenty of interesting variants around the backbone of the official route!
Thank you for your nice comment. You are absolutely right. Sharing experience with other hikers through GR 20 is one of the most essential things, but as you mentioned ( for a reason ) we wanted more tell the story through the inner voice of the hiker... Actually, we made quite a research about other variants, but we just gave up. Because there are so many interesting places and treks along the road that we would be able to make another documentary from it :). So definitely next time. And thank you for your tip of Michele Custodero, definitely worth to watch his journey.

Thank you for this very beautiful video and these very beautiful landscapes as well as your comments. This is the best video of all the ones I saw on the GR 20! Can you tell me with which drone you filmed please? Thank you.
We filmed it in 2016. We used DJI Phantom 4 which was the smallest drone on the market compare to quality :D. In small production, we will use probably Mavic pro today. With a bigger budget Inspire 2. Thank you for your nice comment. We really appreciated it.
Really enjoyed your well filmed video. Did the GR20 in June 2008 - great classic trek. That May there had been heavy rains and people had got stranded by swollen rivers & some needed to be airlifted off the trail. We benefited from the water supplies not drying up and not having to carry as much water as normal. Gunter Grass & Punta Fiat.
Thank you. Wow, such tough conditions. Yes, too much water can be sometimes fatal to keep going. Even worse is no water. But GR20 is pretty safe in this case. Greetings from Michal and Klara.
This video reminds me of just how small we are on the big beautiful planet. Love your voice over, you have a very soothing voice. May God bless all your journeys.
Hey Clara, breathtaking video! Simply wonderful! The GR20 is unique - this way up to the summit 🏔! Astrid (a special person for me) and I are also planning the GR 20. Are there any things we need to consider? Is the will enough ? Then I will do it. Cheers Chris

Great testimonial, thanks for sharing. I've great memories of GR20, it reminds me a lot of suffering and also beauty. I've done it in 6 days because it was the only mutual timeframe we had with the mate joining me. Glad we were not conscious about the challenge! I would probably not do it again.
It must have been a challenge! It's really not for everyone. I'm glad we had plenty of time for the hike because it's nice to stop and enjoy the atmosphere. However, I understand if there is no other option and you are in great condition, then it's definitely worth it in a shorter time :-)
This is one of the best hiking documentaries I have seen in a while. Beautiful cinematography, great editing and narration. What camera/lens setup did you shoot on? I am doing the GR20 in 2020 so wish me luck!
Hey, thank you very much. You will see that cinematography on GR20 is quite easy because every day is very different and unique. We filmed on Panasonic GH4 with 12-35mm. Enjoy your journey!!
Hey Martin, We had experience with treks before in Europe, South America, and Asia. We tried to learn from the mistakes that we made on these treks. Two months before, we try to prepare physically, because we know that with all the filming gear it will be a challenge. But the main challenge was how to tell the story of a hiker in an environment of GR20. So we tried different approaches and different camera technics before that we arrived in Corsica.
I have mixed feelings about this video, on one hand that's by far the best pictures I've seen from GR20, the drone shots are amazing, and the global quality of the video is outstanding ... But on the other hand I feel bad for Michal who went through the exact same hike with the extra difficulty of being extra creative, taking lots of rush from behind, from above, from the bottom etc ... I can guess that he had to walk more, to lift more, to bear more ... and he's totally absent from the edit, she's always like "I did this, I thought that" etc ... That feels totally ungrateful to me. "My story" should be "Our story" ... Maybe you wanted to look more pro, and for that it's a success, but personally I can't stand that much load of egocentrism ... Kudos to Michal, you deserve far more credits :)
I think you totally missed the point of this edit. I think they made the story all about the solitude you can find on this types of hikes. And she really showed this while being filmed by someone else. This is really hard to do and a great job by both of them. It's was a team effort to show somebody's personal journey. Great job guys!
That was the point. It is a great movie Every movie you watch, actors take the most credit. And I think they have made a decision based on that she probably has better legs than Michal 😂
The photographer must have been even more exhausted 😁 Wonderful cinematography and narrative. Once again thank you for sharing. Heading off later this month as a +50 years. Cheers from Scandinavia 🇩🇰🇸🇪🇳🇴

Thanks :-) I hope that the situation will get better soon and you will be able to realize your treking dreams, good luck!
who is your photographer?
Enjoy your journey!!
thank you very much for your kind words. We wish you good luck and fun to enjoy this magnificent journey.
So cool! How did you prepare for this? Physically and mentally?
Hey Martin, We had experience with treks before in Europe, South America, and Asia. We tried to learn from the mistakes that we made on these treks. Two months before, we try to prepare physically, because we know that with all the filming gear it will be a challenge. But the main challenge was how to tell the story of a hiker in an environment of GR20. So we tried different approaches and different camera technics before that we arrived in Corsica.
Great video. What time of year did you do this hike?
September
It is a great movie
Every movie you watch, actors take the most credit.
And I think they have made a decision based on that she probably has better legs than Michal 😂
what time were you in Corsica? Great movie.
thank you :). We filmed on Corsica in September 2017
Moc hezky film.
What month were you doing the hike?
We did it in September.
