I’m a panthers fan, but I respect the level of neutrality you guys have. Obviously you lean rangers, but I felt you gave the panthers respect as well. I think most actual hockey fans on both sides believe this is going to be a difficult series. Anyone saying either team is going to walk the other is just talking out of their ass.
I'd try dropping Vesey for a game and add Rempe, just to get a feel for how this series will go with the Panthers in game 1. If we can open up by dominating the physical game, then go back to it in game 2. If not, and the Panthers just blow through it, go back to Vesey and roll 4 lines. The benefit of Rempe is size and strength as well as an added boost with the fans. I think the fact that he plays low minutes, also allows us to double shift guys that are playing well late in games if necessary... ie Panarin, Laffy, Trocheck. To me Rempe is the Knight on the chess board. You use him to set up other moves. If all he does is spark the crowd with a couple big hits, that may be enough to help us take momentum. If we get the doors blown off and he has zero impact on game 1, he should sit the rest of the series in favor of a more complete player.
