Hello unfortunately I am not able to buy any drone insurance since I reside in UAE and I am planning to fly drone in Norway do you have any suggestions please.
Hello, I'm sorry, but I am not sure what insurance is available in Norway. I would see if there are any drone pilots you can find in Norway on social media and see if they have recommendations. I hope that helps!
Is it obligatory to have insurance to enter a country with a drone below 250gr , im confused, im going to norway this month and i took the exam A1/A3 but im considering about the insurance
Warning on Skywatch Insurance: they won't cover you if a human enters anywhere 45 degrees in any direction below the drone. So at 400ft AGL, you can't have any people anywhere in an 800ft circle below the drone - no exceptions. This makes Skywatch covereage extremely dubious for anyone who isn't just flying out in clear fields or open water.
You mean they won't cover bodily injury or property damage or hull insurance if there is a person within 800ft below the drone? Then what is the point of the liability?
@@Jackhafey It depends on the policy; each one is different. I have used Skywatch for several years and had two drones that were losses. Both were replaced (minus the deductible) without any issues. But I hear you, there are some policies that can make it frustrating and difficult to see the value in it.
@@altitudeuniversity no one was taking about drone replacement costs, those are trivial. the insurance you are paying thousands of dollars a year for WONT cover bodily injury in any reasonable commercial circumstance!

There is no rule that says you need insurance, but it is usually a good idea. It's a matter of personal preference, though.
Thankyou very much, i was ready to leave my drone at home because of that

Thanks for the information. We always encourage everyone to read all the details regarding insurance. As they say, the devil is in the details.
