- The Battle of Dorylaeum was a battle between the Crusader and Seljuk Turks' forces at Dorylaeum. At dawn, the Seljuk army launched an surprise attack on the slumbering camp of the Crusaders.

There is a small mistake by the way. The leader of the Seljuk Turks at the Battle of Dorylaeum (1097) was Kilij Arslan I, who was 17 years old at that time.

Fantastic video. You could have portrayed the heavy cavalry (ghulam) charge on the Crusader camp though. The Turks had engaged the enemy in the camp too. The Battle of Doryleaum was actually similar to the Battle of Carrhae. The Seljuk Turks, like the Parthians, were outnumbered (by Bohemond's force alone). The only difference is that there were no surprise attack/reinforcement in the Battle of Carrhae.

One part that you left out right at the end was when the Seljuk Turks were trying to get back to their camp, they found it on fire and destroyed. The attackers were a small group of Knights led by, of all people, Bishop Adhemar.
@@NedimCanIncebay I'm guessing you also couldn't put in other commanders for the Crusaders besides Bohemond? I ask this because I was hoping to see the commanders of those two reinforcement armies that came to Bohemond's aid. The first small group would have been led by Duke Godfrey of Boullion and Robert of Flanders (I think. I know Godfrey was with that group but I can't remember if Robert was or not), and the second, FAR larger group was led by Count Raymond of Tolouse (hopefully I've spelled that country right).

Maybe the battle where the County of Toulouse was attacked and only lost like a few men against an overwhelmingly outnumbering enemy.

The battle was very well done, Especially in showing the strenghts and weaknesses of both factions. The dread of being and infantry surrounded by horse archers was evident and the charge of the knights could be seen as divine hands. I have only 3 battles to request.
Battle of Kleidion where Emperor Basil II smashed the Bulgars.
Battle of Pelekanon from 14th Century which is completely doable with 1212MK and Attila engine. 1212MK covers the period of the battle with 2nd tier units the battle which is June 1329. It was the last chance Byzantines had of holding their ground in Anatolia. It is actually quite a cool scenario to play out as well. Basically its 4,000 Byzantines against 8,000 Ottoman Turks.
Finally last request would be Battle of Grunwald from 1410, between Poles/Lithuanians and Teutons.
Kleidon would would be so cool. I know I’m 2 years late by the way.

I think we all take for granted how hard it must be for Horse Archers to fire volleys and at the same time not hit each other or allies. Also imagine trying to fire accurately whilst someone in front of has been unhorsed or there obstacles. It's absolute chaos.

Algun de habla hispana, pero al ver estos videos solo se puede entender aquellos que tienen conocimiento de la historia en estas y diferentes batallas, porque el que no sabe o no leyó la historia de estas grandes y dolorosas batallas no podrá sentir el espíritus de aquellos soldados que lucharon sea de un bando u otro, aunque no está tan apegado a la historia estas batallas que fueron en su momento, porque quisaa para que se apegue a ese pasado como tal tendrían que en estas épicas y sanguinaria historia aparte de programadores en computación tendrían que estar también los eruditos de la historia y eso seria hermoso y con mayor valor a este estilo de entretenimiento histórico, eso sí sería excelente como tal, pero por lo menos a los amantes de la historia nos mostraron la azaña y el valor heroico de cada uno de los que estaban en su momento y que en paz descansen. Amén

Was the battle at night? So dark I can’t see much.
Followed by multiple rebellions😉 (playing as Seljuks with this mod is a rebellion after rebellion). I hope they change the damage to settlements after one turn.

Listen man I know Cinematic Eye and skill because I Do the same thing although with Actual Filming Or Videography. But I started Making these as I love Atillia medieval Kingdoms 1212 and Rise of Mordor. I also love Fall of the samurai shogun 2.
But your work is great. Every scene I look at I can imagine how many times you had to do it if it was planned. Usually it's like man You can't just Set up a battle and press play and record all this In one or two or three or four goes. It has to match and go into the next clip. There are little tricks of course and I see you know them. Nothing better than getting the right angle and when the shadows and Sun light look great against the Backdrop or the main focus of your Shot such as Soldiers running or Etc. I'm trying to figure out a battle to Do that isn't super Over rated or over done. Idk which yet. I love Electorate of trier. Flanders. Denmark. Norway. burgundy

This was awesome to watch but you should look up the 180 degree rule for filmmaking, it’ll make the final product a little less confusing to follw
Thanks a lot! :) Actually there are some people mentioned that and I know I should, but units and projectiles looks different from different angles due to the position of sun, sometimes I like to show the dark side of the armies and sometimes when sun brighten them, again, thank you for the comment! :)

I still don't understand how they gave orders in battles like that in the past? Did the general scream when giving orders?
Battlefield runners probably, though the mongols gave orders via flag signaling like Alexander the Greats army.
Definitely was chaotic and almost impossible to communicate, I think possible initiated from the commander, then hopefully passed down the lines in the midst of the chaos, it’s a wonder any order was heard, and then carried out... possibly runners on horseback too one can see
