Love your videos and adventures, near and far Mindy. Have followed you from nearly the beginning. Your content is soothing, charming and honest. Love the cooking episodes as I, too, am turning to healthier whole foods cooking. Soups for the winter months…Hear, Hear! Sending warm wishes for the Holidays and Happy Solstice 🎄🌟!
Happy Solstice, Mindy! The Omni Blue Pearl is a beauty. I hope to find one in a manual AWD (another Unicorn). I'll never part with my Cargo Khaki '05 EX that I found in March, so apparently my collection, like yours, will grow, lol. She has ~166,700 miles on her. I owe my interest in Es to you, having watched some of your earlier no-builds in 9th. Glad to see you've returned to the Eugene area. Hideaway is da bomb!! Cheers! 🥂☕🍸
Perfect Artist Cargo Carrier. I don't think I know anyone that has owned an Element that says " I hate this vehicle, it is the worst that I have owned". Happy Holidays, Cheers!
I’ve had my Element (Eve) going on four years now. She’s a blue 2008 with 162,925 mi. She hit 160k during a trip last summer camping along the coast of California with my son. Eve has been a delightful ride. Thank you for sharing your journey, stories and hospitality. Loving being one of the few E’s on the road. I too shamelessly wave at Elements along the way too.
We are a 2 Element family. We purchased them several years ago and 2 of our kids drive them. Definitely my favorite car. We do have issues with water getting in on both of them but other than that best cars ever. Wish they would start making them again.
I have a 2006 Honda Element EX-P Tango Red Pearl with just about 127k miles. 20k was from being pulled in the back of an RV by the previous owner. I am the second owner and it has been such an amazing car!
THIS video scored 110%, Mindy! Was able to relate to every bit of it except for your cooking talents. My 2006 Honda Element EX-P (Painted) 137,000 miles headed from home in central Washington onset of winter South to Mesa, Arizona to establish seasonal abode. Can relate to much of the philosophy you shared throughout this video. I'm happily establishing a new chapter of Adventures at will I call an elementary level. Thank you, Mindy, for your inspirational videos! By the way, my Honda Element is powered by Stice...😅
@NinthElement Mindy, having lived in the Pacific Northwest most of my life, my personal Road Trippin limitations are not much Beyond logging roads and well-maintained gravel roads. As for the need of extended ground clearance, my stock chassis with 16 inch wheels and tires is quite sufficient for my level of exploration. As for seeing how high in elevation I can go in the snow has been proven from my past experience as something that I simply do not need to know . Maintenance wise, I recently had all of my fluids changed at home in central Washington while Nick checked all of my undercarriage for necessary maintenance of parts and adjustments. Nick also found that one of my two fans in the engine room needed replacement. Other than those items, my tangerine orange Honda Element is quite ready to rock and roll . Wishing you a merry christmas, Mindy!
How fun, I knew that I am not alone with my interests and hobbies. Put it out there and you will find your people. Merry Christmas to you as well. Cheers!
I am loving your videos. Both in 9th and now in your tiny home. What a beautiful place! Life isn’t a straight line and we just hurt ourselves worse if we try to go straight through the curves 😆 Thank you for reminding we all experience pain and change and we get through it. Oh, and I love your recipes, I will try to recreate this one.
lol! This comment is everything! Pain transforms you, if you let it. Thanks for being here, and have happy Holidays with your friends and family. Cheers!
I am really enjoying your videos. I’m 54 and have been thinking about buying a short bus or shuttle bus to travel. Your videos are so peaceful and wonderful!
Welcome aboard, and your idea sounds fun. Have you considered renting a camper, van or bus to see what you would like about this life? People tell me that this is the way to go. Thanks for being here, Cheers!
Mindy, it was so good to spend time with you today. What a joy going along with you on your travels. I really enjoyed this glimpse into a day of your life. You always make me smile. I wish you the most wonderful holidays in a new year filled with continual blessings. ❤️
Yes very interesting especially going to thrift stores. But do like to see the prices of the items as I have some of the Pyrex dishes and fun to see what they are worth. Thanks great show!
Hi Mindy, love joining you on your adventures with 9th Element & Tank as well on the farm. I have a 2006 Element. Unfortunately I discovered that Blue Pearl and sometimes I refer to her as flutterbye has a rusted trailing arm mount/frame. So that has put me in low gear to take off & live nomadic. 😢 I will not lose faith in my dream 😊 In the mean time I enjoy your adventures. Happy travels and be well & healthy. Frannie flutterbye.
There’s nothing like a thick, warm soup on a cold day that’s been simmering all afternoon. I need to dig out my cookbook for that split pea soup recipe.

@NinthElement I have this friend who hates my car and wants me to get rid of it. She wants me to drive a Beatle bug car or I take the car. I'm like no. My car is paid off. Ellie has more room.
That is wild. I LOVE my Elements, and friends once said "why don't you get a new vehicle?" and I replied "it isn't broken and it runs fine". They have paid over $100K for new vehicles, and I still have mine that I paid 12.5K for. The Element defines you my Dear, Cheers!

One of my favorite things on Saturdays with my Mom & Dad was to go Thrifting. I especially loved it when my Nanna came along for the day she would tell us stories of the "olden days" about the items we were looking at. She was my personal Historian teacher. Thank you for coming over to my house today and I hope that you enjoy a peaceful and cozy holiday. Cheers!
I enjoyed your traveling videos and have enjoyed your videos in your tiny home. I too have degenerative disc disease (laminectomy L4/5 25 years ago) and know how careful we have to be. I’d be curious to learn more about the anti-inflammatory diet-channels, cookbooks, etc. I have camped out of my 2018 Subaru Forester and am itching to do more now that I’m retired. Thank you for all the sharing! PS never knew how the weigh stationed worked-always teaching us. Merry Christmas and continued good health and adventures in 2025!
Thank you for riding along with me, and I am sorry that you have DDD too. So far I have been researching and making fermented foods, I have been eating mostly keto, and limiting gluten. Drinking lots of water, walking, and gentle yoga. Honestly, when I first came off of the road I literally hardly got out of bed and functioned. The pain was exhausting, so I am now just getting into my deep dives. As I test my theories I will share more. Happy Holidays to you and yours, Cheers!
I would love to see a gear video. I just got a Subaru Forester, plan to do a long road trip (6 weeks ish) of camping/overlanding, and am trying to figure out what i need/where to start. Still loving the channel!
I traveled to Alaska alone driving a 1994 Subaru Loyale. I LOVED that car, and it was the one that I sold to buy 9th. Another great travel rig. Thanks for confirming my video idea, and for enjoying the variety of content. Cheers!
Thank you for sharing your life. Your home is beautiful and you look great! Do you think you could bake a bread made from rice without gluten? Merry Christmas!
I’m curious about your induction stove. It looks so sleek, but the Amazon reviews seem mixed. I’m not familiar with the brand. What made you go with it? How do you like it? How long have you had it? I have a Hamilton Beach that I’ve had for 2 years…it’s also a budget induction stove and it’s been good (seems to have a decent sized cook zone), but I also don’t cook on it every day and I wonder about the longevity of these cheaper options. Also, someone in my neighborhood has/had an element like your greenish one. But the house seems abandoned and the element is parked in the driveway. Hasn’t moved for probably 6 months. Free element?!
Hi, I wish we could send out a "wellness check" for abandoned Elements and adopt them. lol! As for the stove, I chose it based on looks, price and footprint. So far it has performed good for induction, however, I don't like cooking meat with it, as it turns out weird? I use my butane burner for that as well as a second burner. My intention for this next year is to do more vegetarian and vegan diet while I sort out my DDD. Cheers!

Keep it Frank, don't ever sell your Element. Thanks for riding along with me for another year, and I hope that you and Mrs. Frank D have a wonderful Christmas. Cheers!
@@NinthElement I've put 9400+ miles on the van in the last 4 months without any major issues. The E hasn't been out of town since August but we'll be taking her to New Jersey tomorrow. She got new OEM front axles recently and a new radiator. I think the radiator may have had a hard to find pinhole leak for a while that was making me suspect a leaky head gasket but the pinhole eventually became an easy to find crack.
I have an 07 SC with 218K miles and I am the original owner! Is there another Element UA-camr that can help you install your camera systems?? I make split pea soup after Christmas and use the ham bone.
My friends that have a shop can help me, but we live a few hours apart from each other. I will have to coordinate that. Thanks for sharing your Honda Element details with us, Cheers!

I am so sorry for your loss, please be gentle with yourself and do what you need to heal. That is a lot. When I was going through the loss of my family members it was difficult to face life and the seasons. I am glad that you are here for a big serving of love and I hope to read from you again on the next one. Big Hug, Cheers!
Mindy, It looks like you have some type of lily/day lily in among your decorations. Not sure if you know but these are highly toxic to cats and dogs, especially the pollen. Please be careful when hosting your animal guests. LOVE your videos! Happy Solstice!
@@NinthElement I have read that if a cat gets the pollen on their feet and licks it that it is an emergency. Eating it also highly toxic. I just learned that it is not as toxic to dogs. Here is a clip from the internet: "Lilies are lethally toxic to cats. In fact, they are so poisonous that a cat can suffer fatal kidney failure just from biting into a lily leaf or petal, licking lily pollen from its paws, or drinking water from a vase containing cut lilies. The lily toxin, which only affects cats, has not been identified. If dogs ingest lilies, they do not develop kidney failure, although they may have an upset stomach." Better safe than sorry. Probably don't want to compost it either. Best, Maggie

Mindy, It looks like you have some type of lily/day lily in among your decorations. Not sure if you know but these are highly toxic to cats and dogs, especially the pollen. Please be careful when hosting your animal guests. LOVE your videos! Happy Solstice!
Oh My Goodness, I had no idea. Is it toxic just to have them in the room, or if they happen to eat one? Thanks for watching and commenting, Cheers!
