I just want to let you know that whenever I have questions about anything computer related, you are my go to. We just moved over to Microsoft Teams Phone System and this content answered all of my questions over this past week. You are amazing and each time I see one of your videos I always learn something new. Thank you very much for what you do!
Thank you so much! After 1 month without proper configuration with Microsoft support, this video saved my life! They should be following your channel!! Cheers bud!
Your my favourite IT content provider - I appreciate that you explain what a resource account or auto attendant is, and touch on licensing - most videos don’t give enough context for people like me who aren’t technical but need to know what the products do. 👍
Thank you so much for this video! I've been struggling to get my phone system switched over to Microsoft Teams phone and all it took was watching your video!
Very helpful, thank you - BUT I am stuck at 13 mins into your video I am wanting to assign a US number to a call queue. when I hit apply I get an error message "Usage location 'AU', number location 'US', and emergency location '' mismatch". I am in Australia setting up US number for our USA office.
Hello. On my company we just need to use outbound calls. Can I use Shared calling? We will not have auto attendant, just a group of users who will call to users. Thanks
Hello! I've been trying to reach out to Microsoft but they haven't been much help - I was hoping that you might be able to offer some insight since this video was so helpful - We are having an issue with when people are calling they are ending up on an endless loop or they aren't able to get through to an agent or the voicemail. We have agents that are logged in and in queue, but there is still a problem. I have it set so that it will ignore presence, but is there any other advice you can think of? Thanks!
Super informative thank you! Once you have Operator Connect configured, is there a recommended process for then implementing call recording and transcription etc via this solution?
Hi,When I create a call queue and add users to it, I get an error saying, "You are trying to set up *** but they aren't enterprise voice-enabled." The user has a Teams Phone Standard license. Does this mean that all users added to the call queue must have a phone number assigned to them? I didn't quite understand the error message despite my search on Google.
Thank you so much for your video. I want your help, please. I'm trying to set up phone numbers for US users, I have given them the phone, domestic and international licences, but I'm getting this error "You don't have enough licenses to request more numbers of this type"
@@pablozirpolo8236 Hi, Yes, because the tenant was managed by someone else before. I had to clean up all the numbers which were there before as they were not licensed correctly.
Hi - We are a new small business from North Dakota US. I am trying to set up teams phone fo rmy team and did everythign as you said got MS teams Domestic plan, MS teams phone standard, MS team resource group and assigned to one user. Also got a phone number from microsoft but now unable to assign phone to the user ( step at 8:47 in video). can you help with the problem i may be facing
At around 20:00 minute you've attached a person, when I do it, I've got an error "You are trying to link Piotr Ficner but they aren't enterprise voice-enabled.", can't progress from this point.
@@bearded365guy I found the issue. It was that each person who has to be added to call queue has to have a direct numer to them selves. If not, I can't attach them to the call queue. The whole service is a bit unfair to be true. 1. You need 365 license per member We don't need the rest of 365, so a waste. 2. You need paid Teams calling license. 3. You need a domestic calling plan even for incoming calls only. 4. You need spend a lot of time to set it up. Your video is helpful, so thank you. But, when you open a brand new business on Teams and add ppl from scratch, you face issues which are not covered in your video. In my case Gemini and Google have helped. It's not the simplest of all, so many won't like it. It would be far better to: 1. Open an account for the business. 2. Pick up phone system as service. 3. Setup number. 4. If you need setup extras like routing, welcome message, call queues. Here is the same process, but really complicated because of those licences you need to understand, buy or trial, apply to each service or user, create services, test. In our case, when app on Android is in idle, the app doesn't ring. Notifications are on for Teams. So, for now there's no quality of service even. We've tested on several phones and, I can't make it working. .
So weird that I was actually provisioning a phone number in the Teams Admin Center (testing for a potential client solution) when this dropped in my YT feed! You somehow watching me?! Do you know if Microsoft offers non-geographical numbers e.g 0300? Does Gamma if using Operator Connect?
Teams is a bit meh. It does the job but more often than not things are more of a faff than say Zoom or Slack, especially if you're mostly communicating with external contacts. However, the addition of Teams Voice turns Teams into something so much more useful any other comms tool. Teams Voice on laptops and smartphones is a game changer for businesses with loads of remote workers. We've not had much with finding a decent handset yet though. They've all been a bit cheap feeling and sluggish. Any recommendations for something that has good quality sound and is not plasticky? My biggest pain point with Teams (and sharing M365 files generally) is going through the awkward process of getting external contacts connected up to Teams when they've been asked to use it for the first time. This is doubly awkward when they're on Apple gear. I'd love to have a short video I could point people at explaining the process of installing Teams/getting (and maybe setting up with a MS login) from the perspective of a user receiving an email with a link to MS services.. People seem to always get stuck or get lost and we often end up reverting back to Zoom or Wetransfer because they're so much easier to set up.
Bro, bro, brother 🙆🏾♂️🙆🏾♂️🙆🏾♂️🙆🏾♂️ We need to talk. Teams is a hot mess for me right now. I have totally failed to get teams personal to talk to teams for business.

why there is no voice gateway in this? its required to call outside your office right? so how to setup that like ribbon sbc etc.

At minute 7:33 "Microsoft" automatically appears as the operator, how do you do that?
What is the advantage of paying for this license compared to using a free voip app such as MicroSIP?
Not familiar with MicroSIP. Operator connect has minute bundles so you don’t pay for calls
