Nice video. I have just started using the Affinity Photo. I expect it will be similar to the Photoshop. This video gives me more confident in making the transition from Photoshop to Affinity.
I love these programs but I have not found a way to make a contact sheet and view several images at the same time to show my client. Is there a way you can explain to us please, because in other programs it is very simple but not here I find the way. Thank you very much for your response and your excellent videos.
It looks quite good, I wonder if you can set it up to look like Lightroom. With the film strip along the bottom. It appears to be a lot like Photoshop.
I agree. I don't use PhotoShop for my photographs, just lightroom. This tutorial has covers Photoshop equivalents and not so much just touching up a photo like with Lightroom.
I have a few questions. After I've removed a background I don't want, how do I add in a totally different background? I mean a background from another photo? Additionally, If I just want to remove a specific object, select that object, cut it out and just add what I want instead? I'll use an example from the video of the steeple. If I wanted to just change the sky in that without changing the leaves on the tree, how would I do that? Would I have to select the sky and all of the negative spaces in-between the leaves as well? If I had a stormy sky picture that I wanted to use instead, how could I import that into the photo? What if I wanted to add an animal into the foreground of the forest? How would add that to the picture? Where can I find the answers to my questions?
You can use the masking tool by dragging the object over the desired background then colour saturations/contrast and paint brushses to blend images to match
Why Affinity Photo on my Silicon Mac opens HEIC images with 20% of the full resolution original images (4032 × 3024 pixel)? It opens full resolutions for JPEG, PNG, so on.
Shouldn't call this 'for beginner' I learned very little, could NOT keep up. More like "for the very learned in photo editing" as I don't get the terms, no idea what any of the tools actually do or how to apply or adjust and or why I ever would, completely lost on templates, i try to import pic and i get a piece of the pic in a box, I'm so lost & frustrated. Im used to FCPX and video editing but trying to get into photography, and wow I never thought photography was 100X's harder than video. Photoshop & photography is like walking into advanced physics & engineering to me, and thought affinity would be easier, but the more I see and hear this is as if not more complicated than adobe. Definitely going to need a real teacher sitting next to me pointing and explaining everything in detail with "click here" and a binder with "to do this: step 1, 2, 3" level instruction. Udemy classes are awful as well as they (like the outdated photo affinity book I wasted my money on) are all outdated and none of the buttons are the same anymore, so UA-cam university (and the Affinity book) are a massive #FAIL for me on this topic.
🇪🇸¡Subtítulos en Español disponibles!🇪🇸 😺

This narrator has an excellent voice. Potential career in audiobook narration.
They could even be a UA-camr if they play their cards right!

@@tectorama Affinity photo is a photoshop replacement. For a Lightroom replacement look at Capture One, which has a perpetual license.
Great video!
Great summary thank you 🙏

Is this a iPad version , as the trial version has far less for example tools
Very helpful.
You are welcome!
excellent video
Thank you!!
Hello, I clicked the create button and it does not open a new page. What should I do?
This was kinda helpful, but there's no vector tool or a few other tools I can't find
Nice
Is Joe Pera teching me Affinity Photo now?
Serif should outlaw the word "can." Don't tell us we "can" do things. Show us "how" to do them. A beginners' tutorial is for just that. Beginners.
Wahahaa,, GOOD BYEEE ADOBEE
Don’t think I’ll ever get this.
How come :(
Nobody wants to hear grandpa and him speaking at 5x slow.
This AI Voice though wtf = CRAP AF As always mate
It is real human.
His voice is ai generated….😂
No, it's a real human.
This guy sounds kinda like Goofy
