I have used Photoshop for years but stopped doing much editing or designing for awhile. I’m getting back into designing but didn’t want to hassle with Adobes subscription model. Picked this up on a whim, figuring it would be similar to Adobe but thought I’d watch a quick tutorial to get a rundown on the features. Glad to see that it has just about everything I expected it to and I’m sure I’ll have an easy time getting a hang of it! All at an affordable and straight forward cost. I really can’t stand subscription models 😩

Excellent video. I was on the fence about buying Affinity Photo 2, but this video made up my mind for Affinity Designer. It fits with other apps, especially for SVG. Thanks.
It seems more complete that I thought! My mind blown out with the pixel and vector persona. They don't have a contour tool yet, like in illustrator, do they? It's the only thing I miss pretty badly, working with affinity designer
I like your examples here, Except it would have been great to include iPad aspects. EG hotkeys, shortcuts, mouse use anything involving a computer keyboard- what would be an iPad equivalent. Or maybe you would need to the same video just for iPad

Hii….I really want a video explaining how to separate colours in affinity designer for screen printing. And the most important aspect is the each colour should not overlap. All the videos that I have watched have overlapping colours which is basically wastage of ink while printing. Is possible please dedicate a video for screen printers. In illustrator I use trim option from path finder tool to cut each overlapping colours. I have no idea how to do it in affinity. Thank you.
This is an excellent tutorial! Adobe's tutorial (if you want to call it that) was a joke. So sorry I wasted time, money, and frustration with Adobe. Thank you Affinity Designer.
Guys I want to try digital coloring on my favorite comics ever (The walking dead) and I just need some tips on apps like affinity, which one is the best for digital coloring like comics? Anyone have any tips?
I'm having trouble with the result of the export. After, I exported my picture. The texts description became low quality and ugly. It is not high quality.
How can I copy a line between 2 anchorpoints separately, I have been trying to figure this out and it is not there in your video as well. Thanks in advance.
good Video but due to this video being 2 years old Affinity has changed the options of interface of this program so a lot of it is no longer relevant. A lot of buttons are either relocated elsewhere or no longer options in program.
Dear Jack, please do not stop at the first page - this can change over the versions. The core of the software does not change and this is the basics you need to know to start as a beginner. Thank you!
@@bai mine looks differen't and that makes it so confusing. i don't have all the options you do when clicking the tools on the left you have a extra column of assets and i don't have assets. i looked it up and it says click studio but there is no studio in affinity 2 in view

Was your original image a vector? If so, in the export menu, you can increase the resolution of the exported file and it will look good.
