  • Think starting a business with your friends will be fun? Think again. Triberr (triberr.com/) co-founder Daniel Cristo shares his take on what really makes the best partnerships and why it's such a crucial decision.
Sometimes things become a cliché for a reason, like not mixing business with pleasure. That's because combining the two doesn't rarely leads to success in either realm. So if you're thinking of starting a business with your close knit circle of friends, watch this video with Triberr co-founder Daniel Cristo to really consider what you're getting into.
Inevitably, Cristo points out, you're going to need to have some tough conversations with your co-founders. The kind that can become incredibly uncomfortable if they're not strictly professional. If you're unwilling or unable to have those frank discussions with your friends for any reason, your business probably won't be the only thing to suffer. Surely iy doesn't mean you can't tap into friendships for help with specific problems or gather advice and perspective. It just means that going forward with a business model that fully incorporates your friends/family can be a mistake in the long run bc of how unpredictable the future can be. You could risk your own company over relationships, or seriously damage those relationships to save your company. It's a personal decision ultimately and is based on a multitude of factors that are all rather subjective.

This is all true... when i was like 11-12 years old i went halfers on a playstation 2 controller that cost like 30 bucks with my dad right... i was little i couldnt afford shit and my dad wouldnt buy it for me , so i saved my quarters and got my 15 bucks ,
The playstation was my dads by the way he would only let me use it when he felt like it and only for an hour... one day he got mad at me and said i couldnt use the playstation nomore so i told him give me my 15 bucks then if your going to controll everything so i can save and buy my own ps2 , he replied with " you can shove your controller up your ass and go to hell " 😂
So now im almost 30 and i swear to god id rather splurr my money stupidly then to ever make a business with him , just imagine how hes going to act with a business?? ... study how they are when your a little kid and thats exactly how their going to be when you grow up...

Best not to do business with family and or friends....
My dad made an investment with his stepsister way back in 2007 that went south (old sayin) and he is still mad at her and before that they were close they did not use the term step the referred each other as actual siblings and she loved him more than her own full brother
