It is....because most artist press up their own merch...why is the label entitled to something they didn't contribute to or design? Them sneaky clauses fukk over alot of ppl...points system is outdated plus its easy to manipulate if you know what u doing...labels really just loan money promote...they don't have to pay for distribution anymore because of streaming sites....it's honestly why the industry is struggling...ppl that have the connections want to hold on to the old model because they still benefit...pretty sure labels got deals with live nation...so they make money off the shows....why do u need more from the artists when they already get a cut...
Madonna's legs look crazy in the concert clips posted. It's like she's from another time period. Idk when those ultra toned/muscular legs were ever an 'in' thing. Madonna's Live Nation deal seemed rather low ball considering her level of clout in the music industry.
Can you do a video on Sky Ferreira, and her label struggles as an artist. You can shed a light and attention to troubles she faced and still is. It’s a very bad situation and example of a huge label’s (capitol) dirty tactics of shelving artists.

Ill pay for tickets before i pay for a song. Like the idea of the industry being mad ppl are tired of paying for what they want you to listen to over and over again. Tours and merchandise makes sense . The rest like nah...like free music 😊
Hmm this type of deal only seems to work if the artist has a big and loyal following. That may explain why there is a big push to engage more on social media as an artist. Loyal following connected to u will support anything ur associated. Non engaged audience won't. Most labels are not offering this to some small indie artist with under 100k following and little streams. They can't make any money off u.
The huge decline of money made clearly shows it as due to the cookie cutter style music was starting and continues to be made. Producers goal was to make it sound like anyone can make music or sing, but it's actually very difficult and the quality suffered and a lot of one hit wonders were made, lots of bands broke up, and the ones who are still around from the 2000's fought hard, lost money and eventually left their lables. Its a shame that we settle and don't xpect better from singers and such but we demand it greatness from athletes. 🤷🏻♀️

@@naomi.cannibal right lmao they were so pretty in the tubes but usually not flattering. But that era of super shiny bright lipglosses and nail polishes was everything.
Oh no, not the Boomerang Deals😂💀
Saturdays are the best days to be a Naominator
I’ve always found these sus

WAKEUP, NAOMI POSTED 🤸🏾♀️😩
i love your videos and just subscribed. you’re very articulate and your videos are perfect length ❤❤
This is so sweet, thank you!
Hi you are the only person I can find telling things so straight up it is so rare and I am SO GREATFUL!!!! How do you reaserch for these videos?
That's right, even multimillionaire artists get exploited by the owner class.
We stan Naomi! I'd love to hear some of your music recommendations!
Yesss! I need to talk about personal faves more, but I always try to mention when it pertains to a vid
@@naomi.cannibal That's truly right, we heart you, gurlie! 😍💅
This footage of Glorilla signing and contract on a private jet and her girls cheer me on
The music industry is so shady. Hollyweird has become a circus full of clowns and animals. People sign these soul contracts without fully understanding the terms and conditions. You get ripped off, things go downhill, and the devil comes to collect. Even if I had the talent, I could never be in the industry. It's just too much fkd up $#!+ you have to deal with. I think it would literally drive me crazy
Keep that shit in conspiracy land we live in reality.
If it aint warner records or atlantic records i dont want it
I've never been more excited to be early to your videos! I learn so much from you and your research based videos!
360 deals official name is multi rights deal
What?
Ice spice has the best deal 😂she’s new and smart asf tbh. That’s the best way to go , it might take longer but own your shit
Record Companies are like Casinos. They are not in the business of letting YOU win.
It’s crazy they called jay z sales declining his numbers are still crazy big
It is....because most artist press up their own merch...why is the label entitled to something they didn't contribute to or design? Them sneaky clauses fukk over alot of ppl...points system is outdated plus its easy to manipulate if you know what u doing...labels really just loan money promote...they don't have to pay for distribution anymore because of streaming sites....it's honestly why the industry is struggling...ppl that have the connections want to hold on to the old model because they still benefit...pretty sure labels got deals with live nation...so they make money off the shows....why do u need more from the artists when they already get a cut...
Idk if you heard about the god awful 720 deal!!
Actually I haven’t!!
Look it up.....😪😆
Madonna's legs look crazy in the concert clips posted. It's like she's from another time period. Idk when those ultra toned/muscular legs were ever an 'in' thing. Madonna's Live Nation deal seemed rather low ball considering her level of clout in the music industry.
great video, super well-researched
It's giving...NO MAAM!! 😬😬
Can you do a video on Sky Ferreira, and her label struggles as an artist. You can shed a light and attention to troubles she faced and still is. It’s a very bad situation and example of a huge label’s (capitol) dirty tactics of shelving artists.
Ive always felt like perpetual contracts should be illegal especially with all the sheisty, just flat out unfair fineprints.. like idgaf what i signed my life worth more than a pen, ink and paper... and shit change lol FOREVER EVER nah not me
Great job. Thank you
Love your videos! Do another Unpopular opinions when you can 🤭
Hey first one here to support
And it doesn’t go unappreciated ♥️
You’re sooo prettyyyy.
Thank you ♥️
Naomi im feeling this 360 deals are before the internet
What does it mean for artists to 'own their masters' ?
TRUST HER SHE KNOWS
Amazing video 🎉
I’ll stay independent!!! Investing in my own career. 💯👀💅🏾✌🏾😎
Tbh if I were an artists my non negotiable a would be.
Creative control
Owning my masters
They cannot profit off of merch and touring.
Renegotiations after meeting certain thresholds
So I guess I wouldn’t if that means maybe my budget or advance is smaller that’s okay these days you might not need a huge budget. Shit I’ll record music in my home if I have too LOL
Engagement comment.
Thanks_4_ the_ content 👌 ✨ &_ information 👌 👏 👍 😀 🙌 🙌 ✨ 👌 👏
I have never heard of a 360 deal
Ill pay for tickets before i pay for a song. Like the idea of the industry being mad ppl are tired of paying for what they want you to listen to over and over again. Tours and merchandise makes sense . The rest like nah...like free music 😊
Great video.
you should make a video about tours too
Ring tones??
Yeah, back in the day you’d buy songs as ringtones for your cellphone. First one I ever bought was Toxic by Britney 😭
@@naomi.cannibal oh boy this is something else lol

360 Deals Ain't That Bad....
If You A Artist You Should Ve More Worried About *The Recoup*
Yo Deal Don't Kicc In Until They Get They Money Bacc 💯
Would be interested in a dive noting how Lizzo's label allegedly controls her social media and branding, just like they used to way back. A Star Is Born (1937) is one example.
I'm sad Japanese Cartoon (Lupe fiascos project to get away from his label) didn't take off.

360 deal I wouldn't take it I wouldn't want them to get money off everything I make if I was a rapper
Nicki Minaj doesn’t have a 360 deal
She does not!
she does because she owes her label 5 albums. Universal Owns her catalog.
@@johnathanlewis3155 no she doesn’t you ignoarant ho
@@johnathanlewis3155that's still not a 360 deal Nicki get all her money up front from everything she put out why you think other labels don't like her watch her interview with funk master flex then come back Nicki even mention this before she got signed you don't never hear about her having issues with her label.
