Congratulations on your new Maverick, it looks great. A couple mods you might consider one you mentioned is a spray in bed liner the other is a tonneau cover. Yeah you still can haul bikes and a lot more. The cover is the other 90% of the time. I would highly advise you not to get a drop in bed liner (plastic) When wet or condensation or frost its like ice and hard to properly secure items from sliding and also dangerous if your up in the bed. Best of luck with your truck hope you enjoy it everyday your behind the wheel.
Happy for you! I have been waiting for my Lariot hybrid since Oct. 15, 2021. It was rolled over to a to 23 and almost rolled over to a 24. Still waiting - will be two years ;(...... in 2 weeks.
It was a coin toss between me ordering the hybrid versus the EcoBoost. I ended up choosing the EcoBoost due to how quick it came, and it came in about 8 months. I used the $500 farm bureau discount.
I’m excited to see maverick content. I have an XSR and then got a CRF right before you did. Been watching the Mavericks since before they came out, so this is pretty funny you got one
Nice truck. Please don't forget to service the transmission every 50k miles. A guy documented his Ford Maverick experience, but he went 80k miles without regular trans service, and he is not fairing well with repairs and dealing with the dealership.
Correct, however, I've seen his video as well. However just to Play it safe. I would drain and full the transmission fluid every 25-30k if your planing to keep it long term and avoid any headaches. Fluids are cheap, replacing a Ford transmission is expensive.
@Costarica-mq8el You have the right idea. I purchased my 2008 GM new. I, personally, change my own oil every 3500 miles, I've flushed my transmission every 50k. I have 220k, and the engine and tranny are strong. The rest of the car, well, that's another story for another time. I should have gone for a Honda or Toyota equivalent, but live and learn.
If you're willing to go down to the XL (which still has standard cruise control and optional 360), then you can get the XL AWD with 4K tow package for about $27,500 including tax and licensing. That's what I got my 2023 for.
contagious enthusiasm. thanks for sharing.
