- Astronaut Nicole Stott returned to Earth aboard shuttle Atlantis on Nov. 27 after 91 days in space. She had spent 87 days aboard the International Space Station and 80 days as an Expedition 20/21 flight engineer. She is the last astronaut who will be transported to or from the space station by a space shuttle. Atlantis landed at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, Fla., to end its STS-129 mission to the station.

I can't stop watching this: I love seeing the angle of the shuttle launching for some reason
Amazing...
I've seen the Shuttle launch and the ISS atleast a hundred times and they still impress me every time.
★ Better than Imagined! Thanks so much to all Crews for these Wonderful Space Travels.
Interstellar Greetings, Jammy
I remember watching that walk-through there from 35:30 to 40:16. I was 7 at the time.
At 3:16 into the video for a few seconds you can see the camera that was in the pilots window of Atlantis. Looking out the window you can see part of Atlantis' nose and part of the top of the ET. Pretty cool!!!
The backflip maneuver was done with the RCS system right? Or was it done with some kind of reaction wheel? Im curious bc they were kinda close to the station to use propulsion
Great!
could someone who knows about shuttle launches please tell me what that bright star type light is in between the bottom of the boosters after disconnection and as they aim towards earth?

GOT TO MEET MISSION SPECIALIST MIKE FORMEN AT KENNEDY SPACE CENTER IN 2018
That looks like a photo of Ronald McNair from the Challenger accident at 41:20.
Dude is that like the astronaut food you get in those shops that he had?
Nasa why did u retire the space shuttle
@katjaplu72: What flavor of Kool-Aid was it, and how much did you drink?
Why are they tilting the rocket?
Why not directly up to space?
Because they are trying to reach orbit - so if they want to circle the earth they can’t go straight up
Hi ทดสอบ
there's a black guy in space!
Its Leland D Melvin, you might also see him on the show Child Genius
Two! Don’t forget Dr. Robert Satcher. It was his first space flight.

Many call the Creation story a pseudoscience in light of evolution, though it is not. I'd like to point out two things. 1) Creation has real scientific evidence. 2) Evolution has significant problems (e.g. missing links, archeological inconsistencies). Evolution still is a THEORY after all (not a Law).

This is a great video but I'm very surprised to hear a scientist as he looks out the port at the ground he says in a low voice "The beauty of creation" ....please don't send christians into space they'll ruin that too.
I'm a Christian and i love the exploration of space and science. your point?
Ouch! How can you say "don't send Christians into space"? You think "Christian Scientist" is an oxymoron?
